Her earliest memories of trying to write a novel was a story inspired by the 1990’s movie starring Jean-Claude Van Damme called Lion Heart. She still has the 14-page first chapter, printed on blue paper, in her file cabinet as a reminder of where the seed of writing first began.
Angel loves action, thrillers and suspense as well as classic love stories penned by the likes of Jane Austen and Danielle Steele. Her writing blends the two in what she’s dubbed “Crime Thrillers for Women” — showcasing stories where female protagonists find their lives intersecting with criminals as they juggle trying to find love and save their own lives at the same time.

It Was Fine.
Rocco and Jemma have an instant connection, but their jobs as DEA agents make having a relationship seem impossible. While working to take down a cartel someone from Jemma’s past isn’t over what she did.
This was fine. When we met Rocco briefly in Sebastian’s story he seemed more badass and mysterious than he does here. Still a DEA agent who can handle himself but I don’t know just felt different. I just could not connect with Jemma. She just seemed kind of selfish. She’ll push Rocco away and then be disappointed if he doesn’t react a certain way, although she feels guilty about Aurelia, it just didn’t feel quite right. Maybe if we’d seen more flashbacks of their friendship or something. Like I believe that Rocco will be sad if something happened to Dante even though he chose that life.
Also she didn’t really have a great reason for not sharing with Rocco what was going on, other than she just wanted to do it herself.
Overall not a bad book, but give it a try! It has an overall engaging plot and you might like it more!

Ok, I will admit I found this author by a book cover. I was scrolling through new reads and happened on Sebastian and immediately stopped…it’s a great cover. I was pleasantly surprised that the book lived up to the cover, it’s an amazing read, and Ms. Vane had me hooked. Rocco is the second book in the Stingray Security series and it does not disappoint either. Rocco and Jemma are both strong, independent and passionate about what they do, and about each other. As with the previous book, Rocco is exciting and super sexy. Both Rocco and Jemma are a treat to read and leave you wanting more, definitely more! Can’t wait for the next book, so glad I stopped on Sebastian’s book cover…way more than just a pretty face.

Rocco and Jemma have sparks flying for each other. Rocco is a doctor that goes undercover as a doctor to the cartel. Jemma also works undercover for the DEA. Jemma is Rocco's supervisor which complicates their relationship. Jemma gets kidnapped and Rocco is racing to find where she is. Action, romance and suspense to keep you reading.

A Good Slow Burn
My first time reading this author and I enjoyed this book. Jemma and Rocco had amazing chemistry. My only issue was it felt like there were two stories happening at the same time and it through me off. Otherwise, I would recommend this to anyone who likes a good slow burn.
