With a three year old and an eight month old running her haggard, the last thing Shelley needs is more stress- which is exactly what her husband Dan brings home, in the form of a mischievous puppy. He insists the dog found him, following him until she made her way into his heart, and he felt strangely compelled to bring her home. Shelley is livid, but as she drops the puppy off at a shelter, she can’t help wondering: What if Dan is right? What if the puppy found them? She soon finds the answers to her questions when the animal plays a role in an incredible miracle, proving God brought the dog to them exactly when they needed her the most.
Meanwhile, Margaret tales a negative review of her artwork to heart and alters her style to appease the critic. How can she rediscover the joy of her passion? Beverly has ongoing concerns about her father’s health and enlists the help of her neighbor Mrs. Peabody. And Diane, convinced that something mysterious is happening at Orlean Point Lighthouse, organizes a stakeout. The women have seen lights and a shadowy figure inside the shuttered structure, and a stakeout will finally provide answers. But when they see someone inside, they bang on the door and the lights go out… and no one comes out. What is really going on at the lighthouse?

Four different yet unforgettable friends, Shelley, Margaret, Beverly and Diane, are mysteriously drawn together by events too amazing to be coincidence. As they face life's challenges in their small Maine town, they hold each other up in faith and experience God's amazing grace. This is a light read with little mystery but a whole lot of calm.
Shelley has a 3 year old , an 8 month old, a husband who is only working two days a week and a mother-in-law who is on her case all the time, the last thing she needs is a puppy they can’t afford. Margaret gets a bad review of her painting and loses all interest in painting. Beverly is worried about her father’s help and has to find some way to get him to accept help. Diane is sure something is going on with the lights that flash from the old lighthouse. The women do a stake out but don’t find out the reason for the lights.
It's a cute story. I'm not thrilled with it. It started fine after a while it slowed. One of the main points was never really fleshed out. The ending for my was abrupt.
This is the second book in the Miracles of Marble Cove series. Four women, neighborhood friends, are the main characters in this series. They are all different ages and seemingly had very little in common as we met them in the first book, but their friendships are beginning to jell and it’s interesting to see them grow together. I quite enjoyed this easy read, and I’m looking forward to the next one.
This and the other books in the series are fun and light reading. It is great to see the adventures of the four and how the four friends help each other with the challenges of life.
I enjoyed this book a lot as I have the series. It’s a simple light read, somewhat predictable, but still kept my interest. After the first book, I came to realize the mystery of the lighthouse is not meant to be solved in one book, but will be an underlying theme for the series. Once I let go of my need to have everything neatly cleaned up at the end of the book I could relax and let the story roll on. I appreciate that the four friends in the books are from various ages, a young mom with two kids, a single woman who was previously married, a semi retired widow in her 50’s trying a new path in life, and a little older gray haired woman.
I enjoyed the first book in the series and currently reading the third book in the series. The author of Finding Grace has entirely to much repetition of the first book. I was skeptical to keep reading after Finding Grace but glad I have done so.
I have to admit that I was disappointed in this book. It was well written, but basically was a retelling of book one written by a different Christian author. Seems like Guidepost slipped on this as book 2 in the series.
The friends are growing closer as they continue to investigate the mysterious light shining from the abandoned lighthouse. This book focuses on Shelley and her current problems. I enjoyed the second book as well as the first.
I really enjoyed this 2nd book in the Miracles of Marble Cover series. I highly recommend reading these books in order. Great characters and it keeps your interest Strong Women characters

While I appreciated reading about the spiritual growth of Shelley and, to a lesser extent, Margaret, I felt cheated at the end of this book. A great deal is made throughout the book about mysterious lights at the lighthouse but there is NO RESOLUTION to this part of the plot. A mystery without a solution is extremely frustrating to the reader and just wrong!
this is the second in the series of 'miracle in marble cove' A guidepost series; a very easy read; with about 6 characters, that are being written about. A light mystery that continues throughout the series, with a light from the lighthouse, mysteriously appearing. Different writers for each book
Second book in series. Nice overlap and character continuation. Each character, main and insignificant, seem to hold a strong sense of the storyline. Can't wait to read #3!
Good little book though it didn't follow the first one, The View From The Lighthouse, exactly. A quote from the first was incorrect. Other than that a good read.
