Quality time is Kema’s love language but, apparently, her boyfriend didn't get the memo. Darren has time for everybody but his girlfriend and Kema is sick of being second, third, fourth, fifth, or sixth in line for his time. While sitting alone during their date, a date Darren was 20 minutes late to I might add, and contemplating their breakup, Kema spots Tyrel across the restaurant.
Tyrel has seen Kema a couple of times at her friend’s kickbacks but, he kept it cute because he knew she was in a relationship. But, all bets are off when he sees her sittin alone durin’ her date. “You mind if I take a seat? Keep you company?”
Kema’s heart warmed at his politeness. “I’d love that but, I’m actually here with someone. He had to step away to take a call.”
“And left you here all alone for the taking?” Tyrel smirked. “Foolish man. I won’t snatch his seat and date up this time but, I can’t promise to be courteous if I see you sitting by yourself again.” Tyrel is the epitome of what one man won't do, another man will and he was not one for playin’ games. He knew what he wanted and he wanted him some Kema and Darren was just gon’ have to take that L.

Don’t You Ever Get To Thinking… You’re Irreplaceable 🎶
Kemba chose what mattered most to her which was being a priority and that is and will always be more rewarding than settling. I respected that about her. Book 5 in the series wasn’t as spicy as the others and it felt more like a quick scene than the others. My investment in this friend group is what keeps me continuing the series. Their banter and love for one another has me ready to interview new friend applicants 🤣 Nevertheless this was cute ☺️

4.5⭐️! Kema finally got rid of “what’s his name” lmao! I knew she was going to get with Tyrel but had no idea they would meet on their own like that! 😆 I need a Tyrel in my life because their first date was everything and to wake up like that on Easter Sunday was even better! 🤭 I love this little series and can’t wait to see what’s next! Also my fave, Ember, had a really sweet update that I loved! 😭❤️🥰

Kema has watched her friends find love with rapid succession and her long time boyfriend and I use this term loosely ain’t looking to be worth 💩! After giving her the run around and making her his last resort and not a priority she draws the line once their date ends with her driving herself to the restaurant and him being preoccupied with his phone the entire time.
Kema knows her worth and knows that there’s a man out there that knows it too. When she crosses paths with Tyrel it takes zero point two seconds for him to feed into her love language of quality time. They are up for ours on the phone days at a time and any opportunity he has to be in her presence he takes. Yall this man took her to a 24 hour bookstore and let HER set the limit!!! Baby that’s a man’s man 😂
Kema and Tyrel were my least favorite couple only because it took their relationship time to build steam and in a normal read this would be perfectly fine but with so few pages I wanted them fkn by page 5 like everyone else did in the other books 😂. I still enjoyed these two and am happy to see that Kema got the love and attention she deserved.

Intentional Love
Aww I wanted more of this story. I felt like it was just getting started.
Kema has been wasting time with "What's His Name," for far too long. She was asking for simple ish like for him to be present and attentive when they were together, you know the bare minimum and he couldn't get it right. He definitely deserved to be sent to "To the left, to the left!" While she went right to Rel the Realtor Bae. Tyrel has his ish together and brought the pressure on day1. Listen the way my clothes would have been lost with that library trip 🤷🏾♀️🤣 This was a quick read, but you could tell Rel was going to be intentional with Kema's heart.

Okay Kema! You finally got rid of ole whatshisname huh? Hell, this is book 5, and I just learned his name for real! 😂 He was dead weight anyway girl! You were holding on to him hoping and wishing he would be the man you wanted him to be. Who knew that man you needed was just within arm's reach! Rel the Realtor! Swooped right on in at the perfect time. They were quick with it, but just what the other person needed. Another sweet read! But, what about Mikki? Does she get a book too? 👍👍👍

If PHALLON and I didn’t go together really bad, I would say that this is my favorite book. 🤣 I loved the part where he took her to the bookstore that just spoke to my heart and not for nothing, I probably would’ve done the same thing She did and gave it up. Honestly it could’ve been the first 10 minutes of meeting but that is like my dream date. I think REL is my boo number two from this series.

Quality Time- This is a love language that I've never required. I've always enjoyed my me time. However, I know several women who crave the companionship and the feelings expressed by Kema were matched so many of their sentiments.
This was a feel-good butterfly in my tummy story. Very sweet, very laid back. Slow burn, low spice but it's intense once we get it. Very satisfying.

Kema my poor girl went through it with “Whatshisname” but I’m glad she wasted no time picking herself back up and going after what she wanted and deserved. Love this series literally gives you all the feels in a short amount of time making you wanna wish for more and more of these people. It’s littt the group having a bundle joining the crew 😭 I’m not surprised with the way they all get it on a pop now it’s Mikki turn hopefully. I’m sorry Ms. BriAnn we need a longer book on all of them together maybe just a catch up on the future fast forward of their love or something because I love them all because they just show the black joy, worth, growth and successfulness and especially love in all forms make it relationships or friends ships or family you name it. I love how Kema knows her worth and time and wasn’t afraid to get the stepping when not getting what she needed and Tyrel gave her all that and some which made it overwhelmingly good. Y’all won’t regret the read enjoy and soak it up ❤️

Two strong confident personalities
I really enjoyed this quick novella about Kema and Tyrel aka RelTheRealtor 🥰 Kema had been in an unfulfilled relationship with Darren aka WhatsHisName and an ongoing interrupted evening out to dinner confirmed what she had been feeling for a long time but hesitant to end. While Darren had take a call, Tyrel came and spoke as he’d remembered her from mutual friends Sevyn and E’Lijah. A brief flirty conversation ended up turning into some DM’s and then speaking on the phone. He applied pressure and I loved the 1st date at the book store 📚 He was very thoughtful and attentive. Both of them had strong and confident personalities that really vibed together and you could feel the genuine chemistry. This is probably my favorite novella, so far of this 6part series 😘

Baby if I could give this one a higher score I would! The FRO date !!!! Baby please take me to a black owned bookstore!! We would’ve lived out that daydream miss Keema was having baby!! Omg!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 6 stars 10/10 will read again! I love me Tyrel! All the men in this series have been exceptional and I don’t have any complaints! short & sweet I think I found my book bae for this series!
Rel is the one! I won’t share details but I think he hit my love languages especially with his surprise 😍 I believe we have more than one love language …most people are a medley of love languages ! Lol
I love how each book in this series includes the friend circle as additional characters are added if needed! It feels natural & is funny as well as sexy. It gives a modern vibe to the “living single” sitcom with more sex scenes 😂😂😂❤️📚❤️

I thought I was in love with books 1-4, but Kema & Tyrel have my heart! Everything about this book was so me! In my mind, for years now I’ve said that books & plants were my own special love languages and a man that bought me either would be my husband so I felt Kema on a cellular level when she text that in the group chat!!! Tyrel was the epitome of applying pressure and being intentional! And FRO?!?! My hearts dream!

I love this book! I know it took courage to finally put herself first and leave Darren alone. He couldn’t sit at the table with her for more ten minutes without staring at his phone. The mess up part was he got up from the table and left her there for a nice amount of time. I glad Tyrel swooped in and let her know what it was for real. She knew she deserved better and got better when she decided to give Tyrel a chance.
