The manga adaptation of the fantasy light novels (also from Seven Seas) about modern dungeon diving done quick–illustrated by the creator of Venus Versus Virus !
Years have passed since dungeons popped up all around the world. When dedicated adventurer Amane Rin awakens to a unique skill called Dungeon Teleporting, he finds he no longer needs to abide by the rules of dungeon diving like everyone else. Follow Rin's journey to become the strongest adventurer in the world—at the fastest speed possible!
Classic isekai (or "almost isekai but it's actually their world") story:
- Japanese/pale-skin-dark-haired male protagonist - who is thought to be useless or otherwise forgettable - gets some ridiculous super ability - rescues a girl in a dungeon/fantasy setting - uses the ability to cheat past some other limitation that others can't bypass as easily
I'm pretty sure I've read thisexactstory before so many times that I honestly won't even remember having read this one until I see the next volume on a shelf (and maybe not even then). Even the art style is so "stock" that nothing about it really stands out to me. Pretty much the one distinguishing feature is that the dungeons of this world have a cooldown timer that keep adventurers from just grinding the dungeons, and the main character (whose name I've ALREADY forgotten) figures out that his cool-sounding-but-initially-useless skill can bypass that.
Basic story is fine, but as stated, I will absolutely forget that I've read it until I happen upon it again. Recommended if this style of story is absolutely your jam for some reason, though!
