Signal desperately needs help from someone as obsessed with the truth as he is with Erik.

Camp wants to kill him, the police want to put him away, and more than one fan wants to claim his black heart. All Erik wants is the freedom he’s never had. Can Signal convince the Teen Killers Club member with the highest body count to turn himself in and testify?

This may not have been my favorite of the trilogy, but the FEELS were EVERYWHERE.

(I'm currently listening to 'This is How Villains are Made' on repeat, so if I'm extra villaney, I'll blame it on that)

- Take for example the addictiveness of this series as a whole??? The plot twists, the writing, the nuance of the characters, the relationships??? Excuse me??? I was not ready for this to be the end of the famous group of serial killer friends (or the like).

- I adored the fact that I binged this whole story because the pace was gripping me by the non-existent gray hairs and I COULD NOT STOP, OKAY, I TRIED. (which is why I went to sleep at like 4am, but who cares??? It's a BOOK. It's law to break curfew when words on paper try to kill you, so yeah. Only fair)

- The romance was maybe the weakest point of the book, but WAIT wait. I'm single, therefore I'm entitled of being mad at romance, HOWEVER, there were some cute moments and some sizzling ones that had my grimace turning into a Cheshire grin that really, looked unhealthy and demented.

- On the other hand, the friendships were maybe my favorite thing about this book (apart from the whole, you know, beautiful murder vibes. Like, go off queen ( for the record, FBI, I didn't say that. I was hacked)). Like, they were so ADORABLE and ugh, just take my heart and put it in a blender if you hate it so much.

If you enjoy series (I still stand by the serieses for the plural of series, but the red line marking it on my screen screams oppression of creativity) that grab you by the metaphorical lapels (which should be bought at the earliest convenience because aren't they just dandy?) and don't let you go-- not even to breathe-- sizzling moments and dashing instances, paired with a good-ish MC??? Um, SIGN ME UP.

So even if I'm not completely in love with this book (mainly because it should've lasted about 100 more pages, let's be honest), I can say I don't regret it.

New favorite series and author HANDS DOWN.

A HUGE THANKYOU to Netgalley, Lily Sparks as well as the publishers for the audiobook for a copy in exchange for an honest review 😩

First the audiobooks are all great Jesse Vilinsky is one of my favorite audiobook narrators out there so I was so excited when I saw they were the ones to narrate it.

So I picked this up from netgalley based on the the concept of the book as well as the beautiful cover and I am so happy I did. I hadn't realized it was the third in a series but I was happy to quickly read the two first.

I just binged this entire series in less than 2 days and will happily re-read them again VERY shortly once I get my hands on physical copies so I can annotate it.

Lily Sparks writing is SO insanely good. I was honest not bored once during any of them. I fell in love with every single one of these characters, They were so easy to love.

If you're a fan of true crime I honestly think you will eat this series up as fast as I did.

this series is so underrated and it makes me so sad cause this is honestly one of the best YA thrillers I have read. PLEASE go read Teen Killers Club I need more people to talk about this series to 😭🤣

This is such a fun series and Teen Killers at Large is a very well-executed and satisfying conclusion that continues with the fast-paced twists, romantic melodrama, and of course murder. It's a page-turner that is pretty self-aware of the kind of book it is, and even slides in the occasional social commentary amid the CW-esque thrills. Especially for a first time author, this is a really strong series ender though it does wrap up a tad quickly. I received a copy of this book from the author, all opinions are my own.

I haven’t found many books that have been as good as this trilogy in the books that I have read. The characters in this book are something I had never expected to find so perfect as I read through them. It was like a story within a story in more ways than one. A camp full of murderers, criminals, and kids who are to be unredeemable due to what they have done. I think that although they are flawed and kids; they are good at their core. The finale of Teen Killers at Large had a realistic ending, which made it feel like a real-life story. You’re always going to find a home in the Teen Killers Club, where you’ll always feel safe.

Once again, a 10 ⭐️ read from Lily Sparks. I said it in my first review of TKC, and I'll say it again. These books remind me of the books that got me into reading in the first place. Not many books have given me the feeling of being 16 and reading Flowers In The Attic for the first time. And yes, I know that's a highly inappropriate book for a 16 year old, but whatevs, it's a moot point now!
Do yourselves a flavor (<-Intentional play on words,) and read this series!

GUUUUUUUUYS!! What a fucking roller coaster. Couldn’t put it down. Binged it in two and a half hours. Almost threw up from the stress or had a heart attack or sobbed - several times. Sparks had me questioning everyone’s loyalty! Even the most loyal of loyal, and you should know who that is so I won’t say it and be accused of spoilers.

Naturally, I don’t want this to be the end. *Sigh*

Full review to come when I recover from this absolute beautiful nightmare of a ride.

●Teen Killers At Large by Lily Sparks●

The final instalment of the Teen Killers Club was a wild, thrilling adventure. The previous two books had been amazing, and whilst this book is probably my least favourite in the series, it didn't disappoint.

The story continues right from where it left off, with small recaps every now and then, but I'd strongly advise remembering the details from the previous two to be able to fully enjoy the story (I'd forgotten a few things). The dark humour and friendships lightened this book when needed, and whilst it's not as grousome as the others, it's still descriptive at times. I mean really Kurt, the head?!

It's fast paced, but I did feel like there was so much drama going on at the same time. We have the main plot and problems, then to add to the mix we have some new teen drama and angst going on. I didn't mind it, but it did make the book feel a little cramped? The plot twists were shocking, I didn't guess the traitor and almost had a heart attack at the end with a certain helicopter scene...

I loved that the gang gets a happy ending, the friendships and bonds in this book are quirky but heartwarming, I enjoyed the resolution and fitting way this book leaves off, and I'm obviously over the moon about Signal and Eric's happy romance.

4/5 🌟

Libby: If this had been book one, I wouldn't have done the series. The teen drama and love triangles tripled. Killer Eric almost marries a pop star of all things, and then actually marries the MC instead. Lol.

Annnnd then pretends to be dead so he can stop all the bad guys and the teen killers make a camp for the Class As, but not to be killers, just because the test is now widely available and they're discriminated against (Read "One of the Boys" for this thought fleshed out a little better, though its not related to this series at all).

They're hunted by "one of their own" (but really it's the dad that's bankrolling their house arrest while there's sort of a trial going on) and Jada is literally jail bait to sniff out the creepy older brother Sky. Gross.

I was so excited when I saw "Teen Killers At Large" by Lily Sparks was releasing. The first two books of this trilogy have kept me up at night reading then along with staying in my thoughts after. I was eager to jump back into Signal's story and see her friends again. I went back and forth between the print book and the audio copy. The narration was so great and I felt like I was walking alongside the characters. Thank you Kate Rock Book Tours, Lily Sparks and Crooked Lane Books for the advanced copies! I read and listened to the audiobook for the full tandem experience of this book and I’m so glad I did. The narrator captured the characters well and the book was set at a solid pace.

I’d seriously be the first to watch if this series was adapted to a movie or mini series. Loved the trial/deposition depictions, as it adds to the overall pressure put on the characters.

If you want morally gray characters with high stakes situations, and raw emotion then you need to pick this up.

Signal and Erik were particularly compelling characters, and the concept of a gang of young killers brought a unique and captivating spin to the story, with hints of X-Men vibes that added a fascinating dimension.

The most enjoyable sections for me was the trial and testimony scenes. Lily Sparks masterfully executed these, making them the most gripping part of the book. The intensity and drama in these sections had me eagerly tuned in.

The narrator, Jesse Villinsky, whose performance was nothing short of outstanding. Her narration kept me engaged from start to finish, and her talent in bringing the characters to life was truly remarkable. She added an extra layer of depth to the story.

A very special thanks to Dreamscape Media and Netgalley for the ALC.

I’ll review the whole series here because I think it’s easier.
When I started the first book, I was curious but expecting a terrible book, maybe only a bit funny, just to pass the time.
It’s also worth mentioning that before this series I was in a reading slump. I’m autistic, and one of my favorite methods to stim is reading, but I could not get into any book.
The first book in this series changed that. I got surprised by how interesting it all was, got hooked on the mystery (and guessed the killer wrong, lol).
One thing did disappoint me. I got excited when even tho Jada felt threatened because of our girl’s presence and Erik’s interest in her, ou girl kept looking at Javier, even tho Erik was obviously the most powerful of the bunch.
It was a new take, the girl not involved in the drama and not going for the obvious choice, but that changed, which took a bit of my enjoyment, being more of the same.
Even so, this book was great! The best in the series in my opinion and I had so much fun reading and laughing out, even if it felt a bit too much obnoxious sometimes.
So book two… the title already tells you all about it: teen killers in love. The thing is… the book lost momentum and it gave way too much of the story away in favor of the romance mostly teased in book one - so it felt more like an awkward romance with the killer context. It’s start was also too slow, and that didn’t help at all. We got into the pattern of “will they won’t they?” of our main characters, a back and forth that quickly became tiring as dialogues kept repeating instead of evolving - something we saw again in the next book. With Javier, we started the pattern we sadly saw again in book three: him acting like a jerk at start and being nice again by the end, which felt boring, and pointless. Instead of flashing him out, he became background noise sometimes used, with repeated actions, once again boring - as did his dynamic with our main girl and Erik. It should have been solved quicker.
And the fact the a lot of this stuff happened in just weeks took me out of it a little. I could be wrong but there’s not much more than a week in book two? Like… too much too fast maybe?
Book three I almost stalled, because I was dreading the idea that it would be more like the second book instead of the first.
And I was right. This time the bad guy was obvious, and the nice change was how our main girl was not as defenseless as she was in the previous books, I liked seeing a more fierce aspect of her instead of the Mary Sue we had going on so far.
Overall I had fun, but would have enjoyed it more if the first book was just a standalone, I guess. The best think about the series continuing was Erik, he was over the top and oh-so dramatic, and he made me laugh a lot. I wasn’t sold on him at first, but he slowly changed my mind.
Oh, and Nobody was my favorite character from her first mention, but she didn’t shine much, so I didn’t say this until now.
And I really enjoyed pondering about Troy and Kurt. Ever since finding out that Troy had killed woman I kept coming back to the scene in the first book in which he let Jada win, thinking that his fixation on her could be a sign he was on the path towards killing her. But if so, why did he try to defend her? And what of Troy? Why was he there if he hadn’t killed anyone?
Those last two actions I got an answer for.
I’ll probably read anything this author puts up in the future.

And so it ends. For the last 3 years I have been living off the Halloween high of the Teen Killers Club books. Quick recap. There is a test to determine how possible it is to become a serial killer. Kids who get an A on this test are sent to camp to become assassins for the government. Book 1 is about the test and about Camp. Our main character Signal Deere swears she did not kill her best friend and that she is no killer. Erik is the bad boy. He is Class A all the way. Book 2 Erik and Signal run away from camp and fall in love. Signal also learns about Erik’s backstory, where the test came from, and why he is a Class A. Read the books, their great I promise. I loved books 1 and 2,

Now for book 3. This is the cumulation of the story. Signal is back with her campmates. They are trying to take down camp, get rid of the test, and get everyone free. Yeahhhh. Erik is still on the run, because his brother wants him dead. The entire group have become celebrities. There are pro killers club groups and anti-killers club groups. It is time to end things. This book is my least favorite. Some much revolves around drama. Not horror drama, girl/boy drama. Teen drama. Drama that has been absent from the rest of the books. While I hate using the word this book would be considered “clean”. There is extensive talk of marriage that services a purpose other then to allow for sex. But the marriage is just more drama that I could not wait to be over. This book does wrap up nicely. I thought the very end was too rushed, but it does set up for a sequel series. I don’t think a direct sequel (I could be wrong), but a new series about after. I hope not. I like it where it is. I love this series, and while this is a nice wrap up, it is the worse book of the series.

Thank you to Crooked Lane Books and NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for an honest review!

The final book of this trilogy is here! Teen Killers At Large is where we say goodbye to Signal and the rest of Class A. In case you haven't read any books in this series before, this series revolves around the titular teen killers - teens without any sense of empathy, who brag about their kill counts, who are notorious psychopaths. Or does it? Our heroine, Signal, actually doesn't have any psychopathic tendencies. She was completely out of place in Class A, but now, they've become her closest friends. And the leader, Erik, may be more than that.

Here is an exciting excerpt from the opening chapter:

"It's embarrassing to accuse someone of murder. Not that anyone who accused me ever seemed too torn up about it. The officers who came to our trailer, put me in handcuffs, and charged me with the strangulation and beheading of my best friend Rose did so with neutral authority. The DA confidently told national news that I was a deranged killer. But by far the most passionate accusation came from the real killer..."

Overall, Teen Killers at Large is the final installment in a ground-breaking new series. You should definitely read the first ones first so you know who the characters are. Otherwise, the deluge of names might be overwhelming. One highlight of this book is the action-packed and bloody finale. I did take off 1 star because I couldn't really follow the plot. I wasn't sure if this was because I didn't feel anything for the characters or if it was because the scenes were disjointed. If you're intrigued by the excerpt above, or if you're a fan of YA thrillers in general, I recommend that you check out this book when it comes out in October!

I’ve loved this series from the start, and it’s underrated in my opinion. I’ve dreaded saying goodbye to these characters, but I’ll hold on to the hope someone will snatch it up for a movie adaptation.

It’s difficult to review the third book in a series without spoilers, but I’ll try. Signal’s story started when she was framed for the murder of her best friend. To avoid prison, she’s sent to a top secret camp where Class A teens – those deemed to have the most dangerous and manipulative criminal profiles – are trained to be assassins. Signal isn’t a Class A, but she’s surrounded by other teens who are. Some of them become loyal friends, and the friendships between them are one of my favorite aspects of this series. Criminals or not, they’re good people at their core and want the best for each other.

The series is full of twists, turns, surprises – and all the feels. I experienced a rollercoaster of emotions with this final book and wanted to shut out everything so I could learn the fate of these characters. Erik and Signal really put me through it. They have their ups, downs, fights, and romantic moments, but are willing to sacrifice for each other at every turn.

I listened to the audiobook and the narrator, Jesse Vilinsky, is outstanding – one of the best I’ve heard. If you enjoy going through the gamut of emotions with characters, strong friendships, tons of suspense, and a mystery that keeps you guessing, I highly recommend the Teen Killers Club series.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

⭐️⭐️⭐️ Teen Killers at Large by Lily Sparks

This is the final book in The Teen Killers Club trilogy. This series was an unexpected gem. I thoroughly enjoyed the first two books. The third book was a bit different.

In this one, we see the conclusion to the camp, the experiments, the mysteries, and all of those involved. There was never a chance to digest all that happened in this book. With the amount of things going on throughout this last book, it could have easily been broken into another book, which I’m glad it didn’t. There was never a shortage of excitement, adventure, and mystery.. There was betrayal, theft, betrayal, theft, love, toxicity, blood shed, heartache, love, blood shed, toxicity, betrayal, and resolution. I’ve come to the conclusion that Signal and Eric are not meant to be--they are so toxic together! I just couldn't get myself to root for them, but I won’t spoil whether or not they made it. There were a handful of new characters introduced in this book which I had a hard time sorting out for a while, but by about midway, I think I had it.

This is a solid young adult series that I will continue to recommend in my high school library. Excellent job Ms. Sparks!

Thank you to NetGalley, the author, and the publisher for providing me with an ARC of this title for review.

This review is about to be much more emotional than professional, so be advised. I read the first Teen Killers Club book in 2020, when the world had basically stopped existing for me outside the four walls of my bedroom. I was a senior in high school, isolated from my friends, and finding solace in my books more than I ever had before, when I decided to read a book that I thought would be a standalone YA mystery. Instead, I found one of the best trilogies I’ve ever read, that really makes you fall in love with characters you never expected to find so perfect. A camp full of murderers, and criminals, and kids who are supposedly irredeemable. But they’re kids, and they’re flawed, and still manage to be good at their core. Teen Killers at Large was the perfect end to this series, and while not everything was tied up in a neat little bow, the end still felt right, and cautiously optimistic, leaving it feeling much more real-life, because in life, there are no true endings. And in the Teen Killers Club, you’ll always find a home.

Can a Test truly dictate if you are a criminal. Here are reasons to read the thriller book:

Finale in trilogy - in this final book in the Teen Killers Club series, we follow Signal as she lives with a few of the other campers in a house

Trial - she is on trial for what the camp made her do, and is trying to expose them

On the Run - Meanwhile her boyfriend Erik is on the run from everyone and seeing Signal may put her in even more danger

Betrayal - and when she learns that someone in the house she lives in may be betraying them, she has even more of a reason to watch her back with these killers

I originally read the first 2 books back to back, and I have to say that if you pick up this series, read all 3 at once. The author does not waste time re-explaining things so sometimes it’s hard to remember. However, to me this was a very satisfying ending to this series. You really got to see these characters in a better light and see how bringing them together in the right circumstances diminishes the killing they were trained to do. I really did like this series a lot!

What a beautiful journey I just went on! I didn't realize this was the third book in a series when I requested it but I decided to listen to the others and just flew through them. I was obsessed from the start! This series is definitely one of my new favorites and I look forward to more amazing things from this author in the future. This was such a great conclusion to the teen killers club story. This book had me on edge and never knowing who to trust or what to expect next. It was so terrifying at times so I was very happy with how the book ended. I love love love the friendships in this book that became family. I was also so happy to be introduced to Signal's mom and I wish she would've been a bigger role throughout the series but I'm still glad she made an appearance. I'm honestly so sad that it's over now. I want more. Maybe a movie or tv series hopefully?

I was looking forward to this series conclusion so much I started it and had to walk away. I just wasn't ready to say goodbye to the Teen Killers Club. It took me quite a while to feel ready to listen to this audiobook. While I enjoyed it immensely, this installment did feel like it had a lot more teen relationship drama than the other two. For a while it was a bit much to handle, but overall this book gives you exactly what you expect, a group of teens put in some impossible situations, and forced to fight for their lives. It was action packed, included emotional growth of its characters, and had a conclusion that brought a smile to your face. All in all it was a fitting ending for the Teen Killers Club.

As with the first two books, the narrator did an excellent job bringing Signal and the rest of the cast to life.
