Captain Horatio Hornblower - AKA Beat to Quarters is enjoyable here, but not as enjoyable as the unabridged version. You can't go wrong with Forester.
Jane Eyre - long a glaring hole my perusal of "the canon" - finally I can report "Reader, I read it." Enjoyable. I still don't grok the endless hype.
My Friend Flicka - I wasn't too excited for this, as I don't care for animal novels. This one was a pleasant surprise, though. Being shorter helped me like it.
Alone - An interesting read about a singular experience. If you'll pardon the pun.
