Serinin son iki kitabında yazar yaralı aşıkları işlemeyi tercih etmiş. Bu kitapta diğeri gibi acıklı bir hikayeyi konu alıyor. Ama bu kitapta karakterlerimizin 7 yıl öncesine dayanan bir tanıtışıklıkları ve aşk hayatları var. Dare bu güzel kadını görmüş, göz koymuş ve elde etmek için meşhur çekiciliğini kullanmıştır. Ama bu kadınla eğlenmekten çok evlenmeyi düşünüyordur. Zalim dedesi asılmış bir kontun kızıyla evlenmesine kati şekilde karşıdır. Dare dedesinin Julienne hakkında söylediklerini duymak ve inanmak istemiyordur. Ta ki Julienne'i komşuyla samimi bir pozisyonda görene kadar. O zamandan Dare'in hayalleri yıkılmış ve 7 yıl boyunca hüsranını kadınlarda gidermeye çalışmıştır. Decidi dar 5 estrelas porque achei que foi uma combinação engenhosa entre romance , policial , erotismo , mistério e aventura . De todos os livros da jordan este foi o que me " provocou" mais . Acho que deveriam ser publicadora mais livros desta senhora .. Recomendo :)

Eu não podia voltar a ignorar o poder de sedução de Nicole Jordan depois de ter lido o sonhador O Êxtase, livro que me relembrou a sua capacidade para escrever histórias cheias de humor e provocação. Por isso, foi com uma grande vontade de me perder por umas horas na escrita escandalosa e romântica desta senhora, que iniciei a leitura de O Prazer, um romance quase à altura das minhas expectativas. Escaldante do início ao fim, surpreendentemente terno e esperançoso nalguns momentos, este livro podia ter sido perfeito. Mas, mesmo não o sendo, é impossível não nos deixarmos arrebatar por um amor que sobreviveu a tudo, como o de Dare e Julienne.

O romance é tórrido, de tal forma que muitas vezes sentimos o calor transbordar das páginas. É quase uma dança a forma como os protagonistas se enredam um no outro, primeiro por vingança e desejo, depois por amor e rendição. Ao longo de uma narrativa provocante, vamos desfazendo uma teia de mal-entendidos, traições e mentiras, o que culminará, finalmente, em confissões amargas e chocantes, mas também libertadoras. Da primeira à última página, somos arrebatados pela obsessão, pela intensidade da fúria e paixão que Dare e Julienne sentem um pelo outro, para depois sermos surpreendidos pela doçura das suas lembranças e dos seus perdões. Um casal que vai do gelado ao escaldante em segundos, eles são tão intensos que por vezes o leitor até se pode sentir sufocado pelos seus sentimentos extremos.

Mas esta história não é só feita de lençóis enrodilhados. Temas controversos como a prostituição, a violação e a queda social são abordados ao longo desta história através do passado de uma personagem, que de uma forma admirável, acaba por expor as situações degradantes a que se sujeitou com grande coragem. Esta é, aliás, uma das razões porque gosto desta autora, por abordar assuntos tabu com tanta intensidade mas, neste livro achei que à dada altura já se estava a cair um bocadinho para o exagero. Por outro lado, a parte da espionagem serviu para trazer mais momentos de perigo e acção à história, pois apesar de incluir extorsão e assassinatos, serviu para desanuviar um pouco do romance.

Não que eu não tenha gostado da Julienne e do Dare. A Julienne é uma mulher directa e corajosa, alguém que não tem pudor em assumir quem é. Já o Dare tem muitas camadas camufladas, ora um sedutor libertino, ora um menino perdido. Mas acabei por não criar uma verdadeira empatia com eles, apesar de funcionarem muito bem como casal, porque a relação deles é tão intensa que por vezes parecia exagerada. Além de que eles demoram imenso tempo a resolverem os problemas um com outro, quando é notário que isso devia ter sido à primeira coisa que deviam ter feito em vez de tornarem os seus sentimentos ainda mais confusos.

O Prazer só peca realmente por ser exagerado nalgumas partes. Preferia que a minha atenção tivesse sido conquistada e não exigida. Mas não quer dizer que não o aprecie nem recomende. Pelo contrário, acho que qualquer amante de romance histórico deve ler Nicole Jordan.

Dare the Prince of Pleasure meets Julienne the sexy French actress in the ultimate battle of seduction!

There was a lot I enjoyed about this Regency historical. I really admired the author for creating a heroine who is not a virgin, who works for a living, and is totally honest about her scandalous past. I really liked the historical background on the English theater of the 1800's. And I liked the way the exiled aristocrats of France are shown trying to survive in Regency England.

The only thing was, I couldn't warm up to Dare, the Prince of Pleasure. I mean, he lives up to his name. But as Dare himself points out, he's really done nothing all his life but get drunk and seduce women. And (this is kind of a spoiler) the Big Misunderstanding of the book, that kept him apart from Julienne for many years, was something that ends up being resolved almost accidentally in a random conversation with a local shop girl. That could have happened seven years ago!

But to be honest, what really bothered me was the sex. It's not in any way a criticism of the author, because I'm sure many readers would love Dare and his bag of tricks. It's just a personal thing. See, if a girl is having sex with an actual desert sheikh, or an actual pirate, I'm totally on board. But when it's a rich Regency rake going "let's explore the pirate room" or "this is my sheikh room" I either get bored, or depressed, or I start giggling. It's like the cosplay approach to romance! I mean, in steamy contemporaries you don't see a hero say, "let's go to the astronaut room . . . and I'll put on my Navy SEAL costume!"

And then there's Julienne. I admire how she's an experienced woman. But somehow, sex scenes with innocent heroines are more sexy, just because the emotional stakes are higher. When you read an all time keeper like Thief of Dreams like Mary Balogh, or Someone To Watch Over Me by Lisa Kleypas, the tension doesn't just come from the hero being dangerous and having a grudge against the heroine. The sex itself is dangerous because the innocent heroine may not be able to handle it!

But with Julienne, that's never a problem. Just like Kid Rock, she's been around, seen some things, slept in dumpsters, got high with kings. So you can't believe that Dare can scare her. Or that any man can scare her. And as for such a tough girl to be so terrified of being laughed at by society and to be absolutely terrified of having her heart broken again, it just didn't grab me.

So basically, I gave this four stars, but I'm sure many of my friends would rate it higher.

Ah Dare ah ! İlk dört - yada beş miydi kafam karıştı :) - kitabından sonra bu son kitap biraz yavan kaçtı. Arzunun kıyısında güzel bir çıkış yakalamıştı halbuki yazar. Bunda konu itibariyle biraz yavaş ilerleyen ve merak unsuru barındırmayan bir kitaptı. Tamam , Dare'i aldattı mı aldatmadı mı diye merak ediyoruz , sonra kötü adamımızı da merak ediyoruz ama sanki duygu yoksunluğu , konu kopukluğu vardı. Güzel bir kitaptı , sıkıcı değildi ama maalesef ki ahım şahım bir yanı da yoktu :).

Okurken çok duygulandığım kitaplardan biriydi. Kızın başına geçmişte gelenlere çok üzüldüm okurken etkileyici bir o kadarda güzel. Dare'i çok merak etmiştim zaten en baştan beri onun hikayesini son kitaba kadar beklemeye değdi. yıllar önce aşık oluyor sonra kötü kişilerin yaptıkları sayesinde ayrılık sonra tekrar karşılaşma geçmişle hesaplaşma ve bunun yanında birde yakalanması gereken bir suçlu okuyun derin ne diyim

However, a personagem que conseguiu a minha apreciação foi mesmo Jeremy Dare. Pela sua maneira de ser e de agir. Destemido e apaixonado por aquilo que faz e especialmente por ela que nuca percebeu o quanto ele a amava. Que por ela, ele estava disposto a perder o seu título de nobre e respectiva fortuna se fosse preciso.

Carissime fenici, ho letto questo frizzante romanzo targato Mondadori che ha superato di molto le mie aspettative. Già dall’inizio il clima è bollente: Julienne Laurent e Dare North, conte di Clune, sono amanti appassionati e si deliziano con incontri amorosi clandestini. Sono innamorati e desiderano sposarsi al più presto ma purtroppo la ragazza non è ben accetta dalla famiglia altolocata di Dare. Il nonno, il marchese di Wolverton, venuto a conoscenza della tresca del nipote con una rifugiata francese si rifiuta di dare il suo consenso al matrimonio e di conseguenza lo ricatta negandogli l’eredità che gli spetta.

Julienne è figlia del defunto conte di Fulmont, caduto durante la rivoluzione francese, e anche se di nobili origini ha perso i diritti di nascita. Vive con l’anziana madre e dovendo lavorare per sopravvivere è proprietaria di un negozio di cappelli. Nonostante tutto è considerata una straniera da molti, sebbene viva in Inghilterra dall’età di quattro anni.

Dare è innamorato perso e le propone di scappare in Scozia per sposarsi, infischiandosene del parere del nonno. Ma le cose non vanno in questo modo e quando Dare, insospettito dalle accuse del nonno su un presunto intrigo della sua amata con il conte di Ivers, la coglie in fragrante proprio con quest’ultimo, capisce che l’amore che la ragazza gli aveva dichiarato era solo un inganno.

Dopo sette anni i due amanti si ritrovano ma le dinamiche sono cambiate notevolmente, così come il loro status: Julienne è la nuova gemma di Londra, un’attrice di grande talento che si esibisce con grande plauso di pubblico al Drury Lane Theatre. È circondata da numerosi spasimanti e si vocifera che alla fine della stagione teatrale sceglierà il suo protettore.

Dopo la morte del nonno Dare è diventato il nuovo marchese di Wolverton nonché il capo della Lega dell’Inferno, un club di impenitenti libertini. Grazie alle sue oltraggiose imprese alla ricerca della gratificazione erotica si è guadagnato il soprannome di Principe del Piacere.

Nonostante gli anni trascorsi viaggiando, quando al suo ritorno scopre che Julienne è nuovamente a Londra, il suo disprezzo verso colei che ritiene essere un’arrampicatrice sociale interessata solo ai soldi, torna a divorarlo. Volendo umiliarla per vendicarsi per il torto subito, decide quindi di sfidarla pubblicamente durante un’esibizione teatrale dichiarando che la gemma di Londra si sarebbe piegata al Principe del Piacere entro la fine della stagione.

Essere immuni al fascino del marchese è impresa ardua. Dare è un personaggio che mi ha intrigato moltissimo perché a differenza di altri romance in cui l’uomo è il seduttore, lui dimostra subito la sua lealtà alla protagonista senza ledere il suo fascino e la rude virilità. La bellezza e la levigata eleganza creano un aspetto molto affascinante. Purtroppo la delusione di quel primo amore lo ha reso cinico trasformandolo in un essere dedito soltanto ai piaceri carnali.

Julienne è una bellezza strepitosa con un talento riscoperto casualmente sette anni prima per sopravvivere e crearsi un lavoro remunerativo e un nuovo futuro lontano da Londra. Il ruolo della femme fatale le si addice sebbene non abbia mai dimenticato l’uomo a cui ha sacrificato la propria innocenza. L’approccio impetuoso di Dare lascia Julienne alquanto stupefatta e anche se giura a se stessa di resistergli, impresa ardua vista la grande attrazione che corre ancora fra loro. Odio e amore si scontrano in una battaglia fra due titani al cospetto di tutta l’élite di Londra. Le scommesse fioccano su chi cederà e si piegherà al volere dell’altro.

In tutto questo marasma Dare sta anche dando la caccia a un pericoloso traditore della corona e si serve di Julienne per arrivare a smascherare un suo spasimante. Il clima è incandescente in tutti i sensi e vi assicuro che non mi sono annoiata neanche un secondo. Nel contesto anche i personaggi secondari sono interessanti e notevoli i colpi di scena.

Prima di commentare questa lettura sono andata a rivedermi l'intera serie NOTORIOUS, di cui questo è il quinto volume, per capire quale fosse l'inghippo intervenuto nel mezzo. Ebbene, in realtà questa serie è andata proprio calando in generale per i miei gusti, perché da due buoni capitoli iniziali siamo passati agli ultimi che rasentano la sufficienza.

Nulla da dire sullo stile della Jordan, ma è proprio la sostanza che mi ha deluso.
Forse 🤔 (ma è un forse altrettanto dubbioso) mi sarebbe piaciuto se lo avessi letto vent’anni fa, con la spensieratezza di una lettrice di rosa non così esigente…
Naa, scherzavo, proprio no.

Il protagonista maschile (Dare, marchese di Wolverton) è assolutamente insopportabile 😣 dalla prima all'ultima pagina: talmente pieno di sé, ottuso all’ennesima potenza, convinto che il sole sorga e tramonti in un’unica area del suo corpo.
Per dire, uno che opera solamente con “forza e slancio” e spinte “possenti”.

Purtroppo, la protagonista femminile è assolutamente succube.
Julienne avrebbe tutte le ragioni per odiarlo e vendicarsi, quanto meno per regalargli indifferenza.
Invece, dopo due pagine (due) di autoconvincimento "perchè io valgo" e "gliele farò pagare tutte" (non poca cosa, peraltro: vergogna sociale, povertà, violenze e anni di tristezze), la nostra è già scodinzolante e lo desidera (obnubilata in eterno).

Se ancora la lettrice romantica che è in me non si era decisa a gettare il libro, è arrivato il colpo di grazia:
“Ti ho fatto male?” (Il sospetto viene pure a lui).
“No” mentì lei ignorando la protesta delle sue parti femminili, soddisfatta di assaporare i postumi della sua squisita violenza. (Riporto gestendo i conati 🤮 di vomito).

Ecco, per me “squisita” e “violenza” non possono coesistere in un romance. E questi non sono i bei romanzi di una volta.
Se era un dark romance, non c'erano le avvertenze; siccome era un romance, il marchese Dare è uno dei peggiori antieroi stupidi di sempre.

It was an easy read with a good plot twist even though I could almost figure it out. A bit of a Bridgeton vibe which I loved. The smut was great. A bit of miscommunication which I usually hate but it was good here.

I enjoyed this book, but I'm only giving it 3 stars.

Yes, there was a lot of pleasure. Oh yes. However, I felt that the conflict between Dare and Julienne could have been solved in just a few pages if they had just TALKED about their issues.

They were once very much in love but something happened to tear them apart. Well, they meet some years later, and they still have strong feelings for each other. Neither had been the same since they ended. He's a marquess now and she's an actress.

They play out a very public game of wits. Both try to act unaffected and they each try to best each other with seduction and the like. They end up calling a draw really each time, though.

Anyway, once they confront their feelings from the past, they continue to avoid talking about the future, when it's perfectly obvious that they want to be together.

This leads to the heroine leaving town. Luckily, the hero doesn't take no for an answer, even after she asks him like 50 times if he'll regret being with her. She thinks of everything that could possibly tear them apart, not thinking about all the wonderful things that would keep them together.

A spy mystery was neatly woven into this plot. The hero was a spy on the trail of a dastardly killer/traitor. The heroine helps him in this mission, of course.

Overall, a good read.

Devo dizer que que este livro a par do livro que inicia esta saga com o Sin e a Vanessa foram dos meus favoritos, adorei a história do Dare e da Julienne, gostei de conhecer o passado dos dois e do lapso temporal que nos leva a história sete anos depois...

Gostei da aposta que eles fizeram e da forma como iam contornando o amor que ia crescendo novamente entre eles, ela teimosa em não lhe contar nada sobre o passado e ele a querer escarafunchar tudo o que o avô tinha feito para os separar, nunca pensei que fosse algo de tão grave como foi o caso da violação do Ivers e ter de prostituir-se para salvar a mãe!

A parte da espionagem foi muito gira, eles os dois a tentarem descobrir quem era o Caliban através dos conhecimentos, estava a ver que no final a coisa ia correndo mal, adorei o pedid de casamento em plena peça de teatro!Romântico e irrecusável!

Muito bom, adoro esta autora e uma vez mais não defraudou as expectativas!

Jeremy North, Lord Clune, and later known as Lord Dare, was one of my favorite characters in all the Guardian books so I was most anxious to read his story. Julienne Laurent is from the French aristocracy, but she is not good enough for Dare's grandfather. Seven years later, Dare sees Julie on the stage, an acclaimed actress. Dare is helping the Earl of Wycliff, from Desire, to find a traitor. Dare thinks Lord Riddingham, one of Julie's pursuers, is the traitor Caliban. At one of her performances he stands on the railing of his box and declares he will be a candidate for her protector. He says he has a wager he will win her, but she says she will bring him to his knees. She wants retribution for his earlier snub. Thus begins their give and take relationship.

A personalidade de Jeremy é muitíssimo bem capturada e o fato de este não ter medo de admitir os sentimentos que tivera por Julienne e de acabar por ter uma moral muito alta, acabam por ser apenas pontos positivos. O drama também esta muito bem escrito e em equilíbrio com o romance, embora tenha achado que houve um pormenor ou outro mais no final que não ficou muito bem escrito, comparativamente a todo o livro.

Um livro que gostei imenso e dos últimos, dentro do género, acabou por se destacar.

Nice story of forbidden love and lovers torn apart to reunite years later. I definitely felt the love between these two characters. The plot also include intrigue and some action. Likable characters who were naive and made mistakes in their youth.

What the what?

The book could have been one of the better books I've read but the major flaw of this book is the characterization. Ugh. Hello?

The plot: Julianne is a French exile working as an actress in London. She's beautiful and talented, so she has many offers from wealthy noblemen, but she doesn't want a protector. However, she makes a bet with the Marquis Dare, to whom she was engaged seven years ago, they loved each other, but lies and misunderstandings separated them. Now they join forces in the search for a murderer.


The plot idea is good, I like second chances and heroines who aren't saints or perfect aristocrats, so I liked it. But I feel like it lacked a story, 70 percent of the book is about sex between the protagonists, and it's not that the quality of the scenes is bad, it isn't. But in the end, I felt like the protagonists only had lust, and nothing more, they don't talk much or have romantic moments in fact, I get the feeling they didn't even know each other on a personal level, everything for them is about sex, desire, and getting aroused.
And it's not just about lacking more romance; in general, the plot is too basic: it's just the search for a murderer and the protagonists having sex, not much else, the secondary characters barely appear, there are no subplots, no dramatic moments, or unexpected twists, everything is quite predictable, even what happened to the heroine, which should have been the big moment of revelation for the hero, ends up being flat.
I also feel like we needed to see a little more of the past to truly understand the conflict between them.

Something interesting is that I liked the hero and heroine. I think they're quite original and likable characters. I loved that the heroine hadn't remained faithful to the hero during their separation and that she had had other relationships because it's realistic, although the fact that a woman could support herself solely through acting isn't realistic at all. But I still liked both of them, although I feel that for some reason they don't fit with the story or the romance.

But all in all, it was an entertaining book. It could have been better, but it's still pretty decent.

Well, this was kind of a boring ending to a series. I'm used to the final book in a good series being the best, most exciting ending where the most interesting characters finally get their own book and the plot going through the whole series comes to an exciting finale. This didn't do any of that. Dare seemed like a cool character in all the previous books but was kind of boring in his own. And I didn't really click with Julienne like I did with the previous female characters. The whole book seemed to have a slow pace and I just wanted to have something interesting happening. Even the big overarching plot conflict ended kind of anticlimactically. I don't know if I just had too high expectations for the book or what but it was just...fine.

Seductively explicit tale

I normally don't favor romances where the lady is a courtesan of sorts but the sexual nature of their relationship was so hot and intense I couldn't help but keep reading. This erotica tale of seduction and betrayal had me barely breathing at the end. I felt Julianne suffered and sacrificed so much for Dare, I wish he had been more loving towards her. His distrust leads him to continually put her in a powerless position but Julianne holds her own.

Todo o jogo de espionagem se fosse bem conseguido teria tornado a história mais interessante. Da Julienne gostei da história de vida e da maneira como lutou para se reerguer. De Dare nem por isso, é igual a tantos outros que há neste género de romances. Acabei o livro a pensar que uma simples conversa teria evitado todo um mal entendido.

It had been a number of years since I'd read a book by Nicole Jordan. I was no longer quite so used to the multitude of love/sex scenes - indeed, the first steamy encounter takes place on page 3 or 4 of the book, and these interludes continue unabated throughout the book, all the way into the epilogue.
The story is not bad. Although of course the whole plot hinges on the near-sighted to blind arrogance of the young hero who accepts betrayal at face value, this obtuseness is somewhat explained by his own mother's loose definition and understanding of the matrimonial vows. The heroine and hero make a good match, although this is yet another book where assumptions and lack of communication very nearly scuttle the whole romance. Initially lukewarm and wondering if I'd outgrown this author, I ended up being caught up in and entertained by the story.

Bir serinin daha sonuna geldik. Bu serinin yayın süresi çok uzun zaman tutsa da Nicole Jordan'ın kalemini ayrı bir severim.
Notorious Serisinin son kitabı olan Günah Prensini severek okudum. Yazarın aşk ve erotizmi harmanlayarak yazdığı bu kitabı da çok sevdim.Bu kitabın teması ihanet üzerine kurgulu idi.Umarım yazarın diğer kitaplarını da yayın evi bir an önce yayına hazırlar. Zira ben bu yazara yayın evinin haksızlık yaptığını düşünüyorum.


Günümüzde yayınlanan çoğu Erotik romans serisini sollayacak bir yazar Nicole Jordan. Ama yayın evi mesela pek de beğenilmeyen Maya Banks'ın Ateş serisinde çok ısrar edecek kadar Nicole Jordan'da ısrar etseydi daha isabetli bir karar vermiş olurdu.

Çünkü erotizmi en uçlarda yaşattıran bu yazar aşkı kesinlikle es geçmeden adeta yaşattırıyor.
Serinin ilk kitabı Ahlaksız Teklif ile başlayan bu seri Günah Prensi ile sona ermiş bulunuyor ve ben nedense serinin ilk kitabını en sevdiğim Notorious Serisi olarak kenara ayırıyorum. Hoş bu kitap serinin sansürlü tek kitabı olsa da benim için yeri ayrı oldu.

Bu seri Napolyon zamanında geçiyor. Napolyon'un iktidardan düşme zamanlarında. Notorious Serisinin tümünde casusluk temasının olduğunu söylemeliyim..Romandaki kahramanımız serinin ilk kitabında geçen Kont Clune diğer yeni adı ile Günah Prensi Marki Dare Wolverton..Serinin en beğendiğim erkek karekteri Damien Sinclair yani Lord Sin ile Vanessa yüzünden düello yapan Kont Clune. Kadın kahramanımız ise Napolyon zamanında İngiltere'ye kaçmak zorunda kalan asilzade Fransız Julienne Laurent..Şu an aktristlik yapıyor ama yedi yıl öncesinde annesi ile birlikte bir şapka dükkanı işleterek hayatını kazanırken kader onları bambaşka kulvarlara sokuyor. Dare ile aralarında bir gönül ilişkisi oluyor fakat Dare'in dedesi bu ilişkiyi asla onaylamıyor. Onaylamak ne demek bu ilişkiyi baltalamak için Julienne'yi vatan hainliği suçlaması ile iftira atacak kadar ileri gidiyor.
Hatta daha da ileri gidiyor bunu kitaptan öğrenin diyorum. Vee bizim aşıklar gizlice yaptıkları nişanı çok kötü bir şekilde bozduktan sonra yolları yedi yıl sonra tekrar kesişiyor..


Artık Dare sosyetenin Günah Prensi olmuş tensel zevkler ile ahlaksızlıklar ile adı anılır olmuş bir zamparadır. Büyükbabası ölmüş umurunda olmayan ünvan ona geçmiştir.
Julienne ise şöhret merdivenlerini hızla tırmanan bir aktris olmuştur. Dare'den ayrıldıktan sonra başına gelenler ve annesini kaybetmeye başkalarının hayatını canlandırarak dayanmıştır. Şimdi para kazanma zamanıdır. Hayatına devam ederken tekrar karşılaştığı Dare ile aralarında bir nevi savaş başlar.Dare ile Julienne arasında bir iddia oluşur.Birbirlerine diz çöktürmek Dare onu herkesin önünde metresi olarak kazanacağını ilan eder. Julienne'de bunu asla olamayacağını..

Fakat bu iddia sonradan serinin diğer kitabından tanıdığımız Lucian Wycliff'in ricası ile uluslararsı bir haini yakalamak için birlikte çalışmaya dönüşecektir...Serinin diğer kahramanlarından Damien Sinclair ve Vanessa Lucian Wycliff ve eşi Brynn'da vardı. Onları romanın sonlarına doğru görmek güzel oldu..

Kısaca konusundan bahsettiğim bu romanı severek okudum ama kitap da bariz imla hataları çeviriden olup olmadığını bilemesemde son kontrolü yapılmamış gibi duruyordu. Fakat kitabı okurken hikaye aktı gitti nasıl bitirdiğimi anlamadım.


Bu yazarı daha sık okumak istediğimi belirtmek istiyorum. Bence Sylvia Day'den de eotizmi aşk ile daha iyi işliyor Nicole Jordan umarım bu isteğimizi dikkate alır yayın evi..
Aşk,Historical,Erotizm'den hoşlanıyorsanız bu kitap tam da size göre..Tavsiyemdir..

I wanted to make sure I read more historical romances in 2021 and what better way to start off than to reread the very first historical romance (and my first romance period) that I read way back in my high school days.

The things that I remembered like the incredible chemistry between Dare and Julienne, the fun seduction games they play, the second chance trope, the class difference between Marquess and actress, not to mention the super hot smut....yeah it was all still there and I loved it.
I didn’t care too much for the side mystery plot since it was kind of obvious for me who it was (and no it’s not because I remembered who it was because I had honestly forgot about that part of this book) but overall this was a fun reread experience.

This story starts in a conflict between the main characters Jeremy Adair "Dare" North, Marquess of Wolverton and Julienne Laurent. These two were lovers one summer and Dare's grandfather tore them apart. I find it amazing that Dare never realizes that his grandfather was behind Julienne's betrayal until well past the half way point of the book. However, unrequited love isn't the only conflict in this story. Dare is still searching for the traitor Lord Caliban. Even though Napoleon is on the verge of abdicating his throne the traitor is still trying to win the war. Ms. Jordan has done an admiral job of keep the identity of the traitor a secret. Never giving away much about the man and keeping the reader guessing right up until the end of the book almost.

While the search for the elusive Lord Caliban is a riveting it is secondary to the lovers and their unending need to prove that they can hurt the other more with each round of their competition. Dare doesn't fully trust Julienne after what she did to him seven years ago. He still loves her but his jealousy is causing more problems than even he wants to admit.

Julienne wants to just develop her career and earn enough money so she can live comfortably. She is a good actress but unlike most of the female actresses of the time she isn't looking for nor does she want a protector. She has had her fill of traitorous men. Julienne is very courageous in this story. She kills the bad guy and saves the day. She has been through so much and come out stronger and maybe a little more cynical. She is so certain that she can never marry Dare. I am glad that she got her HEA.

This story some really hot love scenes. I mean what do you expect with a title like Prince of Pleasure. Ms. Jordan continues to write a wonderful story that keeps your attention. Her characters are flawed and caring and so in need of love that you cheer them on even when they are being nitwits. I am sad that Ms. Jordan left us hanging with where Grayson Caldwell went. I think it would have been a nice end to the series if he had found love and laughter as well.
