Everyone knows not to cross the campus d-bags. On or off the ice.

You don’t sneak into their house, thinking no one’s watching. You don’t ransack their bedrooms, tripping over hockey gear as you rummage through their things. And you definitely don’t get caught with your head under one’s bed and your size-sixteen backside pointed right at their camera.

Unless, of course… you’re me.

I was so desperate to get my hands on their brotherhood’s Book of Sins that I did all the above. I was in search of proof that could incriminate Tate, my soon-to-be stepbrother and former member of the frat. But not only do I come up empty, I’ve now unknowingly invited three shadows to darken my world.

The most broken and twisted of them all—Micah, Vince, and Ash.

They promise no one has to know I trespassed on their territory. My secret is safe with them, safe from the others, but there’s a cost.

Their silence for my freedom.

I’ll be theirs to control, to own—these sick devils with perfect smiles masking their cold hearts. And if I can’t find a way to beat them at their game… they’ll break my world and my soul into a million tiny pieces.

BAHAHAHAHAHA

WHAT. ON. EARTH. 👁️👄👁️ 🤣🤣

A dark why choose enemies to lovers wida bitta bully COLLEGE ROMANCE written by the same women who created the Golden Boys? I. Am. Down 👏🏻

And listen, one minute our girl is dressed as a potato sack and the next she’s 4 dicks deep and all before THAT cliffy 🤣 she soon trades a red flag for a white one AND I HAD THE BEST TIME 💃🏻

I’m not a why choose girly. Or so I thought.

But every spicey scene felt like a Mario Kart doing was doing donuts on my bits 🙃🥵

HOT HOT HOT I COULDNT GET ENOUGH.

Yep it’s missing a lot in terms of character development, relationship development (esp with Ash and Vince, no-where near as developed as the FMCS relationship with Micah) the way she’d conveniently forget WHAT THEY DID TO HER just so she can get strummed and drummed BUT… I had a wicked time 🤣🤣🤣 it was so ridiculous, so BAD that it was gooddddd and I need. More!!!!

Sometimes, especially with a high school/college setting you just gotta let go and enjoy the ride. Take it for what it is AND ESCAPE 🫶🏻 it just HITS so differently at this age. I eat sleep rave and repeat where drama is concerned. Gimme gimme 3 men after midnight and an outrageous ending. I’m never full.

The spice will live in my head rent free for tiiiiime. I can’t get over how hot it was and there’s still SO MUCH TO COME (no pun intended tehehe)

That second book better come out fall or SO HELP ME GAWD!!!

OH MY GOD, how is I am still depressed it's over?! That's how I know this is a GAWD DAMN GOOD BOOK MF. I thought this was just your usual bully romance, but hell, I am so attached to these characters. First of all, Stevie is so brave but sure a bit tackless for storming into enemies territory to gather evidence connecting to her sister.

However, little did she know she was caught on 4k (like literally on camera) by the 3 unhinged dark delicious SAVAGES Micah, Ash, and Vince. Now she has to make a deal with them to avoid getting in trouble and she has to earn points to get out of this mess!

I just am a wh*re for bully why choose romance and the spice HOLY HELL. Rachel gave me everything I need. *Cough* degradation, but omg as a plus size girl yeah sure there was a fave scene here that made my heart flutter despite the DARK DARK themes of this book. When the guys stands up for you from the mean girls. Call me cheesy, but yes. I EAT THAT SHIT UP!

I also love the plot of this book because it keeps my brain running and it's just so good. THE SPICE OMG. I wanna just drop to the floor lol! OH MY GOD, THERE ARE SO MANY SECRETS I NEED TO UNCOVER! I just didn't want to finish the book.

🏒 Why choose
🏒 OTT Possesive and Obsessive men
🏒 Plus size FMC
🏒 Dark Hockey romance
🏒 Mystery/Suspense
🏒 Enemies to lovers
🏒 Dark Delicious tension

Omg omg how can i ever recover from that hangover

I love to torment myself with a good cliff hanger don’t I 🫠

Well as far as college why choose bully romances go this is definitely up there with my favs!
Very strong plot, and underlying storyline which is starting to really come to fruition!
I loveddddd the boys, Micah, Vince and Ash (Micah just has my whole heart)
I do feel that Stevies relationship only really developed with Micah and not the others but we have more books to come, and I liked getting a peek into the boys pasts and their stories too.
I love Stevie’s character, doesn’t back down to her bullies at all 💪🏼 plus size rep, the lottttt 🙌🏼

ALSO some of the shit these boys do hahahaha, this book was very much giving ‘The Ritual’ but not as dark and twisted, so if that was too much for you, I think you’d deffo get on with this one (then add a few more males 🌚)

Second book now pls x

I need MORE!!!! PLEEEEAAASSEEEEE

I’m not one to automatically read a RH trope but it’s Rachel and I love her books so had to give this series intro a go and with all honesty I LOVED it!

You feel as if you are the FMC (Stevie) and everything she’s feeling emotionally and physically you are they with her. She doesn’t cower nor stand down when Micah, Vince or Ash try to intimidate her.

This trio is in no way perfect (and honestly would we love them if they were!?) they have their own darkness to deal with and I can’t wait to delve deeper in those (as well as Stevie, cause she’s a fire cracker when let loose).

I have my theories on who the guilty one is in regards to her sister, and I think it’s someone very close to Stevie.

For readers of The Cypress Point series, you’ll have a “I remember that scene!” moment when her sister is mentioned more.

(it’s told in multiple PoVs and I love that, cause I need to know what all main characters are thinking!)

So excited for book 2, cause CLIFFHANGER! 😣😣🥴🥴

I was enjoying it until the soon to be step brother joins in
Especially since he was her primary suspect in her sister's assault
I know he has a solid alibi but one doesn't easily go from I thought this guy was a creep to please join our F Fest and that's where I lost interest

3.5 stars. This is a dark college bully RH, and if you’re in the mood for that, it hits the spot well. I’ve been waiting months to read it, because I like The Golden Boys, this author is good at bully stories. And, this is her first RH, so I was curious how she'd handle that– but, I wanted to wait until this trilogy was complete.

This is about Stevie (20), who transfers to a new college and sneaks in the guys’ frat to discover their secrets (because she thinks their frat had something to do with her sister’s death). So, she’s a heroine with a mission, and there’s a mystery element to the plot. The guys catch her skulking around their frat, and they think she’s trying to sabotage them. She’s already been in trouble with the cops before, so she asks that they keep her burgling just between them. The guys agree, if she’ll do whatever they say. That involves them ordering her around for "points," so that part did remind me a bit of Lords of Pain (but in that, they did the "points" behind her back, and in this book, she knows).

That’s good set up – an RH with a real plot! And, bully books are always better when the guys have a reason for doing it, and aren’t just doing it for the vibes. The characters were likable, and there was a good balance of plot and spice, the writing was smooth and easy to get into.

How dark is the bullying? For me, medium level. But people have different thresholds for that. I think people who like The Brothers of Hawthorne Hall trilogy by Leila James and the Royals of Forsyth University Series by Angel Lawson and Samantha Rue would like this (it’s not as dark as Forsyth). There's mild dub con. No non con. They order her around, make her pick up errands even when she has to bike in the rain, make her wear embarrassing clothes (but other students just assume she’s pledging a sorority, so it’s not that big of a deal). The worst thing they do is . It also seems like the bullying won't continue past this first book.

This book also gender-flips that "cam girl" trope I've seen in other books (when a hero watches a heroine in cam girl videos online, before he realizes that’s her). In this story, the heroine watches sexy videos of some guy online, and, he turned out to be one of the guys. That reveal was obvious, and it was also easy to guess who it was – but, it’s still interesting to get a gender-flipped version of that trope that I’ve seen in other books. I could take or leave "cam girl" stuff, but if you especially like it, this book does it in way that feels semi-fresh.

Why not a full 4 stars? Although I liked the guys, they didn’t feel that stand-out, or even distinctive from each other. If this was a standalone book, I'd be harder on it, for that. But since it's a trilogy, I'll see how it pans out, and hope they feel a bit more distinctive in the next 2 books.

We’ve got Vince, the quiet one who has issues being touched. Tate, the TA / stepbrother/ nice one/ guy who is the last-minute addition to the group. Micah, the Viking looking one who runs hot-and-cold and is often angry. And Ash, the tattooed one who also...runs hot-and-cold and is often angry.

Micah and Ash have similar personalities, and the only thing really distinguishing them from each other was their looks. I liked them both, but it didn't feel like there needed to be 2 guys with this personality. And Vince was supposed to be the "quiet" one, but he talked quite a bit, and he sounded pretty similar to the other guys, when he did. So, those "distinctive traits" didn't feel like much. (For an example of, "quiet hero who has issues being touched," he didn't feel as memorable or stand-out as Ciro, one of the heroes in The Dark Elite: Complete Series Box Set). And, during the spicy scenes, Stevie kept being like "I don't know whose hand is on me," so I didn't love how the guys felt like they blended together during those parts. I'm hoping that in books 2 and 3, it feels more like Stevie has distinctive individual relationships with each guy (in addition to the group relationship of them all together).

This book also kept calling Micah “psycho,” but he never really did anything that psycho. I liked him. But at times, it felt like this was trying too hard to make us think these guys were “psycho” but it was telling us, not showing us. (If it really wanted us to think these guys were unhinged, this book didn't hold a candle to Dukes of Ruin. I didn't need this to be like that book, but that's how you show "unhinged!"). I also don’t know how I feel about Tate getting added to the group last-minute, it feels a bit awkward and sudden. But, since this is a trilogy, there’s time to see how it all pans out.

I have some nitpicks, but overall, I enjoyed this. And I think most people who enjoy college bully RH would like it. It does have a wicked cliffhanger, so I'm glad I waited until the trilogy is complete, and don't have to wait to find out what happens next.

Broooooo this book was excruciating to finish! I hate read 85% of this honestly! The main chick Stevie sucked I hated her lmfao The smut was fun and the guys were okay but I didn't connect with this book at all. Like I was so excited to pick this up but an hour into reading it I knew I wasn't going to like Stevie and if I can't relate to the main character I kind of just check out especially if none of the guys really hook me in and none of these ones did. The Webcam shit really took me out of it too and it's obviously going to be a plot point in the next book that Stevie and Vince fuck on camera for the money or whatever 🥱 The cliffhanger was expected like I bet it's the sorority trying to recruit her or some stupid shit like that. It'd be crazy if Stevies dude bff was the dude her sister was seeing or it connected back to her dad idk but I could really care less about this plot lmfao
1.Micah, 2.Ash, 3.Vince and 4.Tate weren't giving me anything if I had to choose those are how I rank them. Also the "enemies" to lovers trope was done HORRIBLY in this it was such a joke.

Idk if I'll read the next book especially since it's going to take a year to come out!?!? Maybe I'll just skim it out of curiosity but we'll see if I even remember this shit by the time it comes out.

3 stars is my generous rating 2☆ because the smut was good and 1☆ for making me care enough to hate read the rest instead of DNFing it.

So a huge no for me

I thought I'd be getting a rough to sweet book about hockey players, instead I got some really serious triggers. A thread of rape is always hanging over Stevies head yet it's written as though it's okay. It's Not. 3 men telling you to do whatever they want and branding you with a hot poker, is NOT okay. I've never been a fan of fraternities and sororities but this just pushed my dislike even more.

Stevie doesn't tell anyone the truth about anything, I just couldn't put myself through this.

I love when these two authors get together and co-write. They gave us another great book for me to obsess over! Who doesn’t love a bit of dark bully reverse harem?! I always go in thinking I know how things are going to go just by the blurb, and then the story starts to unfold and everything isn’t as I thought at all. The different range of emotions you go through reading this book keeps you on the edge of your seat, never knowing what’s coming next. These characters will have you wondering how it will ever work between them, but by the end you wonder why you ever thought that! That ending blew my mind and I was not ready for it to end yet! I’ll be “patiently” waiting for book 2!

“I hear you, but in case you missed the memo, I’m not exactly a small girl, Micah.”
“And in case you missed it, I’m a big guy,” he points out.

Was it a terrible book?
No.
Was it draggy and took too long to pick up? YES.

It really took so long for the book to pick up. Maybe it was because reading college romance is something that I find.... unrealistic with these dark-ish plots.

Also I hate hate hate from the bottom of my heart that they say they put a curvy heroine in and put in her life experiences with bullying but there's this specific kind of fat curvy girls. The heroine is curvy but the hero still picks up like she weighs nothing 🥰
Pls it annoys me so much to have a heroine that is just curvy enough to put in as a trope.

Other than that I did like the book.

First time thank you to Wordsmith Publicity and the authors for the eARC of this. This was my first time reading this these authors.

This is a steamy, enemies to lovers, dark romance. Stevie sneaks into the Savage frat house on a personal mission to solve a mystery, and gets a lot more than she bargained for, when she gets caught on camera. She strikes a deal with three sadistic alpha males that could very well crush her.

The emotions portrayed were raw and authentic to the point that I hated the guys at the beginning right along with Stevie. It took me a bit longer than her to warm up to them, to be honest. This is a reverse harem, so if that is not your thing, you will not like this.

IMO the first like 75% I felt like not much was happening. Yes, we were learning more about each MMC, but not gonna lie I was kind of bored. The last 25% a lot happened and it hooked me and then ended on a cliff hanger. :-/ meh.

If you decide to read this make sure to check your triggers.

Overall: 3.5
Spice: 4.5

ARC Review!

Honestly, I was 50/50 with this as R/H isn't my Fave BUT I loved my Golden boys/Ricky so gave it a go.

THANK FUDGE I did- I devoured the whole book.

Stevie is a Sassy, Stubborn, Broken girl that The Savage guys didn't see coming.
The connection between all 4 (Micah, Vince, Ash and Stevie) is instant- all 4 have had trauma in their lives that have made them who they are now.

This isn't a perfect love story- it's dark and those boys are twisted and in the beginning enjoy belittling and controlling Stevie.. well tried too 😉

I found it refreshing how Stevie wasn't a perfect thin girl. Size 16 girls are just as sexy too 😉
The Steamy interactions were crazy, I found myself looking around like I was caught up to no good 😁

The scene with Scar and Dusty surprised me, I didn't expect this new series to link with Cypress Pointe.

There are twists in the book and I don't wanna spoil it by revealing much... Considering I don't partially enjoy R/H, I did with this read.
Can't wait for book 2, that Cliffhanger- things just got a whole lot more intense, bring on more twists i'm sure.

Golden Triples or Savages???? I think I'm tipping Savages 🫢

5+stars🤩

I love when these two authors get together and co-write because I know it's going to be an amazing book. One of my favourite co-authors out there, their writing just flows so effortlessly that you would never know it's two separate authors.
This is the first book in this series and does end on a cliffhanger, a cliffhanger that makes me need the next book right now.
This is a dark bully reverse harem. Now I've been reading since I was little and I've only ever read one other reverse harem book, and that was literally a few weeks ago. It was by one of my favourite authors (hence the reason I read it as I didn't think RH was my thing) but I'm glad to say it opened my mind to a complete new genre and I'm really excited about it.
I honestly never expected to be as obsessed with this book as I was. Stevie is one of my favourite character's in a while. Her sass and chemistry with the Savages was 🔥, like literally smoking the pages. I adored her story, the twists and turns and interactions between all the characters, and just everything about this book.
Brilliant I writing by two amazing authors. I can't wait for the next book.

Filled with plot holes. I can see the idea that was there but then it got waaaay too side tracked. Gave too much “Promising Young Woman”. The spice was kind of good, but not what I felt like I was promised. And what was up with the sudden Stepbrother pipeline. Like well since you actually didn’t rape my sister let’s bang with these three other guys who probably didn’t rape her either, which started this whole mess. AND WHERE WAS THE HOCKEY

3.75 ⭐

I went into this looking for a RH romance with a plus sized FMC, didn't realise it was a bully romance. Luckily, it was actually good! 🤣 The bullying wasn't too extreme (except for that one stunt) and the chemistry between the characters was palpable. 🥵 Very sizzling~

I liked how all the characters are complicated with their own demons. While the FMC is insecure about her weight, I loved that it wasn't made to be the centre of all the conflicts in the book. That there is an actual real issue they're trying to resolve. Points for the plot 🌟

Btw, this was advertised as a dark hockey romance but there's not a single hockey scene or anything really to indicate that they're hocky players lmaoooo. It's just a dark college romance with mentions of hockey 😂 I'm not mad about that though!

NOT A SPOILER, just a theory: Who wants to bet the guy who 🍇 Mel was Maddox? Maddox has been so damn sus from the beginning. I'm calling it now it's him 🧐

Anyway, definitely a great book. This was what I wanted when I went into the Lords series 😉💗

Actual rating 4.5 stars!!! <3

I loved Break the Girl. I didn't want to love it because I typically hate the Why Choose trope, but I did - I loved it. I loved it a bit too much. In addition to romance, the main character is a bada**, confident plus-size woman with actual depth to her character and backstory. There is a mysterious - yet emotional - subplot with Stevie's sister. I felt all the feelings I could possibly feel, including anger; I have not hated a character more than Dahlia, like, ever. And the writing was easily digestible; believe me, I binge read this whenever I got a chance.

The only reason this isn't a 5 star read is because I would have liked to see more of Stevie's connection with Vince and Ash; especially Vince. I feel like this was set up to be explored in the consequent books, but I just really found myself wanting Stevie to begin forming those emotional bonds with the other boys, too. The connection beginning to form between Stevie and Micah is great and all, but Why Choose?

And that ending?! Talk about a cliff-hanger, but one that actually makes sense. I will definitely be getting the next two books as soon as I'm off my book-buying ban.

Break the Girl is the first book in the Savage Kings of Bradwyn U series by Rachel Jonas and Nikki Thorne, featuring a steamy, enemies to lovers, dark romance. Stevie sneaks into the Savage frat house on a personal mission to solve a mystery, and gets a lot more than she bargained for, when she gets caught on camera. She strikes a deal with three sadistic alpha males that could very well crush her. What happens when 4 broken people are thrown together in an unconventional arrangement? Will Stevie find answers before she becomes a victim herself, or will they all gain something they need?

Reverse harem and bully books are not something I usually enjoy, but this one was really well done. The emotions portrayed were raw and authentic to the point that I hated the guys at the beginning right along with Stevie. It took me a bit longer than her to warm up to them, to be honest. At one point, I was accusing her of having Stockholm Syndrome.😂 But, as more of their stories came out, they were more relatable, and easier to connect with. Stevie was an amazing character— strong, feisty, vulnerable and real. My heart broke for her as she was struggling to come to terms with her loss and trying to find the truth. As a reader, I, too, am dying to know who the villain is!! The suspense aspect of this book is top notch, with twists and clues that have left me with suspicions and plenty of questions. Then, that cliffhanger! Gah! I hate those!🤪 I’ll be anxiously awaiting Book 2, in order to find out what happens next!! The racy scenes were so hot!🔥🔥🔥🔥 While I didn’t like everything they did to her throughout the book, they all definitely have chemistry with her in spades. Personally, I’m most intrigued by Vince! The way he was able to let down his guard with her was sweet and surprising. I’ll definitely be checking out more books by these authors.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

First: CHECK THE TRIGGER WARNINGS IN THIS BOOK BECAUSE IT IS A DARK ROMANCE.

I have mixed feelings because, as I said, it is a dark romance with many questionable things, but it was good, I liked it and I'm not going to lie to you about it. All the plot twists in this book keeped me reading late into the night.

I liked that the FMC despite everything was not a "cute" butterfly, she was strong but at the same time delicate, and the boys? psychopaths but with a "kind" side (and already until very late in the story) for her.

All the twists were good, but that ending? Let's just say I'm not a big fan of cliffhangers so I'm looking forward to the second entry in this series 👀

🫂 thanks to Rachel Jonas, Nikki Thorne and Wordsmith Publicity for give me the arc in exchange for my honest review 📚!!

____________

Primero: REVISEN LAS ADVERTENCIAS DE ESTE LIBRO PORQUE ES UN DARK ROMANCE.

Loved this!

I have been waiting for this to come out!! Not really a hockey romance but it is mentioned since the fellas play. It was so good! Stevie is on the hunt to find some answers and that's when she crosses The Savages and 🥵. They are "brothers" and like to share and share they did! So excited for this series and cant wait for book 2! I honestly don't have a favorite guy in this because they're all just 👌

What a cliffhanger!!!! Oh man. This one was a doozy. I’m new to the why choose game so I’ve only read a few, but this one is no joke, phew the spice, man. The only reason I gave this a four star and not a five is because there were some times where I thought the consent was questionable. Back to what I liked. Loved that this was a hockey romance, though it is first in a series so we don’t have a happy ending yet. These boys are slick, you find yourself right there with Stevie falling right into it. There’s also some taboo elements if you like that, which I do. The mystery solving part of this story I really enjoyed. I wish there had been more of it throughout the whole book instead of just heavy at the beginning and end, but I do understand that it has to continue into the sequels so they can’t put it all here in book one. There are some heavy, dark topics in this so make sure you check your trigger warnings. That all being said I can’t wait for the rest of the books to find out what happens!

☆ 4/5 & 4/5 spice

This was the perfect combination of twisted, dark, and spicy. I was so not ready for everything that happened in this book. Probably my first time ever reading a dark bully, sports romance, enemies to lovers, reverse harem type of book and I freaking loved every second of it.

Stevie was such a feisty and bad@ss FMC trying to avenge and find information about her sister. An unexpected encounter with the Savages — Micah, Vince, and Ash, who forces Stevie to follow their rules after they catch her doing something she shouldn’t have been doing. All four characters have experienced some trauma in their past. As the book progress, we learn about each of their stories and what led them to be the way that they are.

While reading this book, I really disliked Micah, Vince, and Ash for the first half, but then they ended up growing on me with their obsession, possessiveness, and how they cared for each other and Stevie. The twist of events and crazy tension got me hooked. I can’t wait for book 2 in this series!
