To lead well, do you have to sacrifice success for relationships? Or relationships for success? Fortune 500 executive Harry Campbell says “No!” He’ll show you how to generate wildly successful business results by creating trust, respect and caring in your team. And, he’ll show you how to do this by being absolutely true to who you are and to all that matters most to you.
I had the opportunity, along with 7-8 other colleagues, to visit with Harry Campbell regarding his book. As a speaker, Harry Campbell is engaging and had great stories to share, in addition to good business thoughts and ideas. While the book was good, it came short in comparison to visiting with him in person. He missed an opportunity to make the stories feel real, demonstrating his passion. They each needed a bit more detail and flavor to make the same impact he makes in person and to inspire you to action.
When possible I highly recommend you take the opportunity to see him speak in person, in doing so, the book will be more enjoyable.
After hearing Harry speak during a leadership event and then reading his book I have to say that he gives a great perspective on what it is to be "authentic" in who you are. I like his ideas on leading for the right reasons, (the people) and doing it by being yourself. This is a must read for anyone moving forward with their careers.
