Candy Wright didn’t become a high-powered Manhattan business executive by letting men walk all over her. She watched her mother work herself to death to give her daughter a better life and is determined to make her proud. If that means not risking her heart, not letting any man get too close, then so be it.
Mitch Johnson lives a simple life in rural Georgia. Holding his secrets close. Hiding from the life he left behind. The last thing he wants—or needs—is a woman to remind him of his past.
When the two are thrown together in a freak snowstorm, sparks fly. Mitch is everything she’s worked to escape. Candy is a reminder of his painful past. But the attraction between them won’t be denied. Will love thaw their frozen hearts, or will secrets tear them apart? One thing is certain; it will be a holiday to remember…
A quick and nice read. Candy and Mitch share a long time history and end up in an awkward situation after 20 years of not seeing each other. A few secrets, a snow storm and a "beast" bring together two childhood "friends".
One thing I loved was that there were many different authors. As the different writing styles came in, the story got a little more character. And then came the ending. Wtf? The ending was rushed, as if the authors had sat down and said "We got a deadline... You, rush and hurry it up." There was so much potential, even if the book itself was a little annoying and fake. Also, it was obvious that one of the authors hadn't passed humanities in high school. The grammar and punctuation was terrible. What is this, MIDDLE SCHOOL???? Overall, I think this was a waste of mega-bytes. The only reason this gets a two star because it helped me get through my dying of boredom stage.

"A Christmas to Remember" by ten authors was quite a interesting holiday read that I thoroughly enjoyed. I will say these authors really did wonderful job with this holiday read.
I really liked how they were able to keep this story together where you will find that the authors wrote various chapters to give us a good story ... starting from Chapter one: 'You Want Me to Pump What'...2: The Winding Road...3:What Do You Do With a Princess...4:Candy Heats Up...5: A Hard Liquor Kind of Situation...6: Oh No!...7: The Morning After...8: A Cup of Hot Chocolate and a Dose of Hot Mitch...9: The Odds Were a Million to One...10: Boxer or Briefs...11: The Temperature is Hot and Rising...12: Trouble in Paradise...13: Rich Jerks...14: Scrambled Eggs and Sympathy...15: Who the Heck is Marie...16: Past Remembered...17: Knight in Denim Overalls...18: Revelations...19: The Moment of Truth...20: It's Cold Outside...21: No Strings Attached...22: A Lonely Future...23: Goodbye to What Might Have Been...24: Men...Who Needs Them...25: One Call Changes Everything...26: Memory of an Angel...27: Prepare to Grovel...28: Forgiveness...29: It's Always Been You...30: Georgia On My Mind......going till The End of a wonderful well written story. Only leaving me to say Wow!
We see from this short story Candy Wright now has it all ...a great job, 'The Wright Way,' a advertising agency she owned, a great place to live in Manhattan, but was she truly happy? With a plan to visit a college roommate during this Christmas Holiday...who knew Candy would end up in one of the worst Georgia storms and would meet up with a man who had been her ....well this is the part where I will stop and say you must get this read "A Christmas to Remember" to see what all Candy will go through to finally get the happiness she had wanted from childhood. I found the characters in this short read very well developed, colorful and so likable only to make this read very charming to read. I know it is somewhat different in that their are so many authors writing it, how they all came together to share their thoughts and how it flows so smoothly from one chapter to the next and in the end will giving you a well written script that I thought was a amazing read. All I am left to say is that you must pick this one up and see for yourself how good a read the story really is. This only leaves me to say that 'Yes' I would recommend this read.
What I found fascinating about this book is that it had 10 different authors. Even though they each had their own style of writing, the story held together and kept me interested until the end. You know how sometimes you crave something sweet like cake, or a cookie, however once in awhile all you want is some candy. Well, these light romantic stories are my "Mind Candy." Sometimes I just want to read something soft, sweet and cozy, and that is how this book felt to me, sweet and cozy.
This book was a freebie I downloaded onto my Nook. Thanks Barnes & Noble.
free ebook download. quick easy going girly love story. different author for each chapter made it inteteresting as a dfferent style popped in. I too thought it a little rushed at the end and didnt really explain the hinted at other areas of the characters lives. overall not a bad read, wouldnt have wanted to pay for it though!!
I must say that I like the story this book had to share but I would have preferred if it was from the same author as when a new chapter starts that will be a different line of thought then the previous ending.

I liked the premise of this book - a romance written by a handful of authors, each writing a chapter and passing it on for the next person to add to. It sounded really fun.
But it was badly done. They didn't work together well. For example, hero and heroine are in the woods, getting logs before the pending storm hits, and suddenly there's a rustle in the bushes, a figure emerges, and a voice says, "Hey." And the next chapter starts, and THIS author has no use for whoever it was supposed to be so, they have it be the old neighbor, offering an invitation of coffee that they reject, and away into the woods he goes, gotten rid of so that THIS author can stage a chainsaw accident. Like that - very amusing.
But the lack of secondary characters, plausible events, flowing storyline... it wasn't there. The whole survivor's guilt thing was contrived and didn't help explain the 'burden' the hero carried, the 'men leave' thing was underplayed... it wasn't good. Maybe that's why Amazon doesn't have this?
I'm a glutton for punishment by the route of free ebooks. And yet, I continue reading them. For some reason, I find it entertaining to read several books that have the same basic plot which makes the reader (aka me) already know how it's going to end without picking it up. This isn't really A Holiday to Remember for me, since I read it two years ago and I vaguely remember anything about it. I guess I'm so bored that I read these types of books. Oh well, I (somewhat) enjoy them. Kind of.
This was nice, each chapter was written well, and it was very obvious that there were different people writing each chapter, even without looking at the chapter title.
The story was good, and i liked the characters, i just thought that it was missing something.
It was pretty good for a book written chapter by chapter by different authors. The only thing that didn't make sense to me was how she forgot her coat and suitcase in the car when he picked up on the snowy road. Really? Oh, and he thought there were so many Candys in the world that he just happened to meet more than one of them? I don't know any (although it is favorite stripper name).
I thought this book was a sweet book! You have to childhood children who had felling for each other, but when it came to move on they went in different places. This book reminded me of the move called "The wedding planner" It is a lot alike but they was childhood friends.
Downloaded this as it was free via iBooks, really liked the story even though it was short, but it had a twist in which I wasn't really expecting when I first started reading it, enjoyable, quick read.
This was a free download. I really liked the story and enjoyed having a different author write each chapter. It was fun reading the different writing styles, and very obvious. The story flowed well. A sweet ending too.
This is actually a book written by a group of women. Each woman wrote a "chapter" in a Round Robin fashion. I did like the story, but I had trouble with some of the chapters not really meshing well with previous chapters.
I downloaded this book for free and now i can see why. Not the best book. The different writers I think is weird. It messed with the flow and the book seemed disorganized.
Not much holiday in this book. And why it took thirty people to write it is beyond me. The biggest positive: it was free/biggest negative: Candy - why couldn't Mitch have left her in the ditch?
