How to Get Expelled From School

Rate this book
Are pupils, parents and the public being fed political propaganda on climate change? Now is your chance to find out. Professor Plimer gives 101 simple questions with answers for you to ask teachers, activists, journalists and politicians. The climate industry adjusts the temperature record and withholds raw data, computer codes and information from scrutiny. Computer predictions of a scary future don't agree with measurements. Past natural climate changes have been larger and more rapid than the worst case predictions yet humans adapted. Is human-induced global warming the biggest financial and scientific scam in history? If it is, we will pay dearly.

It is refreshing to find somebody who has a courage to challenge our new global religion. We are subjected to daily bombardment of sometimes primitive or plainly stupid dogma and propaganda masked as a science and it was about time that somebody answers it. I see this book as not so much an attack on "wormist industry" but as a call to stop just consuming somebody's else digested "truth" and start to use our own brain.
From time to time prof Plimer is a bit superficial and parts of the book a bit repetitive but in general he hits nail on the head. I will point out that there is nothing in the book against decreasing levels of pollution, recycling and other activities which actually protect environment but only against CO2 dogma which is obviously harming human species by denying us food, energy, transport on which our survival depends. This book is pointing to dangerous misanthropic fundamentalist religion which is in the long run endangering our survival.
If we are truly democratic society then this book will be in all our schools together with today prevalent thinking (which is not provable anyhow) literature.
@Adam - it is very fair and honest from you to declare your interest as you are benefiting or benefited from "warmist industry" but getting Australian Government in discussion is a bit rich as our Government has a very chequered record on this theme. Shell we mention Clive Palmer as a dirty industrialist and member of Government doing little dirty deal with Al Gore which sorted Clive's financial problems and gave Pope of green religion right to continue fleecing people of Australia for his personal financial gain. Maybe we should mention our ex Climate Change Commissioner Tim Flanery whose catastrophic predictions have been totally wrong. If he predicted drought we got floods, see level is still the same and Perth is not a ghost city! If he was medicine man of Native American tribe for the same level of performance he will lose his scalp long time ago an here we had to wait for Tony Abott to do the honors! Australian Government is so biased on climate debate as it is giving them El Dorado of taxation possibilities.
In conclusion I highly recommend this book for everybody because even if you don't agree with it it will, hopefully, show you possibility of independent thinking and not just being another sheep in line for shearing.

Oh my God this book is so trying. But I'm determined to finish it so I can't be criticised for not finishing the whole thing when I talk about what utter crap it is! This guy is several screws loose.

____________

OK so having now finished the book and taken some time to think about it, I can only hope those who read this book are also reading other content on this topic.

I have worked in climate change communications and even I had to stop and wonder at points in this book: either there is a very serious problem and this guy has a point or the content in this book is largely fabricated, selective and utterly biased. Public conensus seems to be overwhelmingly in favour if the latter. My own cursory checks of facts and figures (e.g. Plimer's statements about BOM seasonal weather forecasts) proved Plimer to be a downright liar.

This disappointed me, because I was after a serious argument against the climate change movement. Instead I got anything but science and debate but rather biased, vitriolic dogma.

This is a great book to get retired-aged, dogmatic, boys-club men flapping about the good old days & how the world's gone mad. Anyone with any propensity to seek clarification or alternative viewpoints will quickly appreciate just how far Plimer has fallen fromn grace since the days of his fight for the right (correct) side in the creationism versus evolution debate decades ago.

For anyone interested in an official response to Plimer's 101 questions, check the Australian Government's Department of Climate Change & Energy Efficiency website (http://www.climatechange.gov.au/clima...).

Just an absolutely terrible read. Incredibly biased and repetitive with little to no real facts. It completely ignores much of the science and goes for the jugular with a blunt knife.

@mirjana you still think climate science is wrong after the massive floods and most catastrophic fires ever seen in Australia on 2019? Tim flannery was right and you chose to follow a disgraced geologist who refuses to look at well conducted science
