Travis Knight #2

Hellfire Vengeance

Rate this book
There is no denying that 6-year-old Kevin Riley has a vivid imagination - he actually believes he’s been for a ride on E.T.’s spaceship. Unfortunately for Kevin, this trait will be used against him during his molestation trial.

Travis Knight, the talented criminal defense attorney hired to defend 3 Catholic priests accused of molesting Kevin, skillfully uses the boy’s trait to convince the jury the alleged molestations were merely figments of his imagination.
If the jurors would have had to console Kevin after one of his many nightmares, they surely would have convicted the priests, but they are limited to the evidence presented in the courtroom - not in a child’s bedroom.

After days of legal combat, the jury finds the priests not guilty of the charges. This perceived travesty of justice sends one person over the edge, causing them to seek a very unique form of revenge that is inspired by the Spanish Inquisition. In the seventeenth century they used burning at the stake to cleanse the souls of heretics.

The priests in this story definitely need a good cleansing, but a more modern approach is needed. The executioner has decided to use a homemade flamethrower containing a custom made mixture of napalm to get the job done. This approach ensures the priests will be given a little time to reflect on their transgressions as they roast and suffocate. Perfect.

Detective Tom Brikler with the Atlanta Homicide Unit, and his Hellfire taskforce, have to stop the killer before more people are set ablaze by the diabolical flamethrower wielding angel of death. The list of suspects is long and time is running out.

Too many grammar errors. Every paragraph! Was VERY distracting. Should get a proof reader. Would not recommend. Story was ok.

This was another excellent crime story. It was much different from what I have ever read. The only problem I had was that there was no way this book was properly edited it has numerous errors. However, the depiction of the characters and events was only slightly affected because there was a sentence or two that was in much need of revision that I could not correct them on the spot!

Quick read, competent writing. Interesting characters and a fairly tight plot with enough sidetracks to keep things going and a rather unique blending of good guy/bad guy traits in all three main characters.

Well, I struggled through it. Must do more research before just downloading free books. This one was a waste of time.

Quick read. Good story line. The narrative was a bit choppy and disjointed. Clever finale. A bit cliche on the relationships.
