About the author

Tracey West is the New York Times bestselling author of Dragon Masters, a series in the Scholastic Branches line. She has written more than 400 books for kids, including the Pixie Tricks series and the Underdogs series with Kyla May.

Some readers also know Tracey for writing books based on animation such as Pokémon and LEGO Ninjago.

She currently lives in the western Catskills of New York with her husband, Bill; their adopted dogs; and a whole mess of chickens.

Finn the Wizard running for mayor is like the current U.S election. If only there were a brave little boy and girl to save America from itself.

Violet's tale has come to an end. I can't believe I binge read this entire series in a day. I'm starting to think my mum was right when she refused to buy me the entire series at once.

Pixie Tricks will always be my favourite childhood series. It's strange to think about, but it helped make me who I am, or at least, who I was in Primary School. What I wouldn't have given to be like Violet and have a pixie best friend. I'll forever love this series, and one day I hope to read it with my kids and watch them fall in love like I did.

Violet Briggs has an out-of-this-world new friend named Sprite - the Royal Pixie Tricker. Fourteen pixies have escaped from the Otherworld and it's up to Sprite and Violet to capture them and send them home. In this story the Wizard Finn wants to take over the town and it's up to Violet, Sprite and Violet's cousin Leon to stop him. I give this story a C+!

The series is over, but I wish there was more because they're such good books. I love the Pixie Tricks books. I mostly like them because they are about fairies, gremlins, dwarfs, and wizards.
