From the sexy, martini-inspired “Love, Served with a Twist” Valentine’s Day series by Amazon bestselling authors Mary Leo, Calista Fox and Erin Quinn:
Stirring It Up, by Mary Leo
When sexy world traveler, Max Rosso, walks into With a Twist, the San Diego based martini bar and bistro Rose Cupido owns with her two best friends, she immediately knows she's in trouble. Not only did the mysterious gypsy prophesize that Rose would find true love by Valentine's Day, but the gypsy also warned that this new love must be returned. If it is not returned, all will be lost, including With a Twist.
As Valentine's Day fast approaches, can Max and Rose stir it up enough to find true love, or will his need for freedom get in the way of them having it all?
USA Today bestselling author, Mary Leo, writes small-town, swoon-worthy, sexy romance with enough humor to give you a giggle or two. She loves Italian food, a bubbly flute of Prosecco, meeting her fabulous readers, the company of other writers, and a cup of hot tea every morning. She's a city girl who adores a small town. When she's not writing, she's reading or binging on a great comedy series.
Another good short in the Love, Served with a Twist trio of books. Again, the author gave the hero and heroine history so it works without feeling to rushed. I liked how the three authors made the stories work together. And as a San Diego native, I thought all of them also did a good job working the city accurately into the books. (I only found one small mistake in all of the stories.)
This was a really cute conclusion to this series. They do all work well as stand-alones but it was more fun reading them in order. Rose has always wanted Max but he's never wanted to settle down. He wanted to see the world and never had roots. But when he comes back into Rose's life he realized that maybe he's missing something. This one was a lot lighter than the other two books. Not as steamy but really sweet all the same. I like both Rose and Max. I liked that she decided to take control and go for it with him. This is a really fun and flirty series to read. If your looking for something light I'd definitely recommend it.
*I received this book free in exchange for an honest review* Oh My God. This is a clean romantic read. Rose and Max have known each other almost their whole lives. But going 10 years without seeing each other, can they figure out what their feelings mean in time before the gypsy's predictions? This is an emotional story and a great way to finish up the Love With A Twist series. Each book is stand alone and each writer has their own qualities to bring to the table, making their stories work perfectly with each other. You need to read these.
this was a good conclusion to the series. i liked how both rose and max were willing to finally give love a try after so many years of skirting around each other. they were a good match with similar tastes in life. their chemistry was just as hot as the other 3.
there was still the element of needing to have an open mind for this story as the gypsy makes her final appearance and the heart is a strong character in this story again.
3.5 stars novellas are so hard to love. The MCs had a past so it wasn't truly insta-love, but it felt like it. I liked seeing Rose realize and stand up for what she wanted in her love life. This is the first of the series I've read so I look forward to reading the other two so I get the entire story
This was the third book in the Love With a Twist collection. I enjoyed Rose and Max their story was a good ending to the series. I think you would enjoy all thee books.
