Yay, I am over the moon, who would have thought that I would get to enjoy and be so lucky in discovering another ridiculously, fun and intriguing online fic. It pays to stalk bookshelves and I do that a lot, heh! I simply loved it, no gripes from me, seriously if there were any, they slipped past me deviously. You see its Zac (wonder blonde) suits him to a tee, the huffy, dramatic, psychic hunter on the lookout for predators. I wanted to zip his lips. I'm sure Quin, his boss had to restrain himself a few times dealing with the backchat. BUT there is a vulnerable side, everyone adores him and I did as well, big hugs, he needs plenty of them.

The suspense side of things was really good, suddenly the tables are turned on Zac and he becomes the hunted. Its a complicated, messing with the mind, life and death situations. Quin's ex-lover is back and he's a powerful psychic, to go up against, not fun at all. The secondary characters were a joy and so much fun, interestingly enough they added to the story. If you're wondering about the romance, its the interaction and byplay between Quin and Zac a duel of words lol. It might not work for everyone, as for me, I was happy I got a chance to read it.

What a fun read! I loved Zac, the charmingly annoying 20 yr old psychic. He's sort of bouncy, unpredictable and a touch eccentric but underneath that indestructible rubber ball exterior he's a sweetie - totally adorable. Light on romance but entertaining as hell!

4.5 stars. Very good paranormal m/m romantic suspense about a college student who helps get psychic predators off the streets... and then one's after him.

PLEASE DO NOT ASK ME FOR A COPY OF THIS. I will not respond to any such requests. Thank you.

First person POV - I didn't realise how much I missed you!^^

But seriously, I highly enjoyed this little fun read with its snarky MC and his fuck-the-world attitude and his bizarre 'coping' methods when confronted with serious situations and the like.

Now please excuse me, because I very much feel the need to google this author and check what else they have produced. ;)

A very good paranormal M/M romantic suspense novel where Zac, a college student, works part-time to take down psychic predators. After he's taken down three psychic predators in two weeks, his boss, Quin, orders him to take some time off. Unfortunately for Zac though, a psychic predator has decided to take Zac down instead, spoiling his 'vacation' plans. The predator's actions causes Zac to become deeply entangled with Quin, and he learns more than he ever expected about Quin, and Quin's past.

Zac is an interesting character, coming across as a bit TSTL at times, while some of Quin's actions left me wondering about his integrity. Yet somehow, these characters work, and they work well together too. The supporting characters are all a bit clichéd in some way, yet they too, seem to click into place. Don't expect a whole lot of 'chocolates and roses' romance either; the romance is rather more in the style of where snarky dialogue camouflages the character's emotions and vulnerabilities. Definitely worth a look if you're searching for something outside the standard genre.

Its a very promising plot with very good character development. The ending is perfect. This book will land on my favorite bookshelf. However I give it one star less because:
A. I still have no idea why a human and a psy can't have a relationship cause it works apparently at some level for some characters
B. The relationship between Luka and Zac is still a mystery to me
C. The relationship between Quin and Nate is still a mystery to me
D. The relationship between Quin and Lene is still a mystery to me
E. And most importantly the character Quin is still a mystery to me.
F. Nates motive

Those relationships do get their own moments yet are never revealed. Which might be not important to the story but because they MIGHT be important, it should have at least provided an answer to a question.

Btw: thank you to a new friend that sent me a copy of it. I couldn't find it online anymore, which I find a pity cause the story is still great as it is

The writing is a bit confusing at times. The way the sequences of events are described are chaotic and sometimes, I'm forced to infer a certain event based on following events.

The MC, Zac, is an idiot. But he's an idiot the same way all young people tend to be idiots. He bothered me so much at first because there were parts of him that reminded of me, of the way I'd reacted to things in the past, memories of me being a stupid cock-sure idiot that make me wince when the memory suddenly bubbles up from the abyss.

The story's not a bad one. I guess I was expecting something mind-blowing or breath-taking or something after all the hype/effort expended trying to track down a copy. Worked myself up, aka set myself up for disappointment.

Que lastima.

I think what I need to do is wait a while, let the memory of it fade a little, then take a look again. *shrug*
