It’s a Delinquent Manga, basically about school students forming gangs, fighting against each other and just proving who is the biggest badass. It’s a page-turner, not because of its contents but due to lack of it, just pages after pages of repetitive fights. It does try its hand at comedy with the goofy central character, the efforts are hits and misses. The art is mediocre at best, not much work done for background although the character sketches are well done.
It's an enjoyable manga for me as its simple slice of life mindless theme (Require these kinds from time to time). Being a Manga a comparison has to be made to similar works done by other Manga writers/artist, well it's not to the level of Hiroshi Takahashi (Crows, Worst, QP) or Tsutomu Kashima (Kyou kara ore wa). It's really a 3-star manga but I took one star off as they went on to 43 volumes, should have finished it at 5-6 volumes. On that note, the review is for all 43 volumes (close to 6000 to 9000 pages).
