So many silly misunderstandings to the point of ridiculousness. Also I cannot like a hero who is in his 30's making up to a 17 year old girl. I know that was a popular trend in HR for a while but it still is a bit creepy to me. Hero admits kissing the heroine's 17 year old sister because "she expected it". He also admits having his "head turned" by her briefly and also wishing a one point that he could fall in love with her. He says that in effect her little sister was the type that was irresistable to men. Here is his part of his explanation which follows a question the heroine put to him"You mean-you weren't in love with her, even though you told Aunt Caroline and me that like Jon, you'd fallen for her troubling charm?" " I was briefly taken with it, yes. Rather as one is drawn to caress the velvet covering any kitten's claws. It's bewitchment that the Irises of this world wield over our sex as easily as they breathe, you know." All the time he was seeing her little sister, taking her out, and kissing her he was supposedly in love with the heroine. I would wonder about the future faithfulness of a man of his character. I would worry that in future he might get the yen to stroke yet another irresitable kitten's velvet claws.

Utter boring story with boring characters. Rachel the heroine is hard working trying to meet the ends while maintaining an expensive family house. She has a sister Iris who is useless and all she aims in life is to marry a rich guy. Rachel has had love disappointment in the past so she isn't eager to meet anyone now. Her past love Jon and his best buddy David come back to her life after 11 years and things just spice up. I found all of this very boring. Jon and David are shown as super rich so I really wonder what they both saw in Rachel and Iris to fall in love with them. Finally Rachel ends up with David and Iris breaks up with Jon who returns back to his another former love Julie. Easily forgettable story.
