A man who had turned self-indulgence into an art form finally sees himself as others do and sheds his first tear over the realization that he and the woman carrying his child will never be what they seem.
This book was difficult to read with its structure in the beginning, but I liked seeing the character development. I’m glad I stuck through the first half of the book because I didn’t want to put it down as I read the second half.
three stars for finished product, five stars for original inspiration. The very private thoughts and feelings of a young New York City cab-driver/artist in the 1980s - and consequently meant for publication. But not perhaps by this author.
