I found this to be somewhat vague at times, but I'm glad that I atleast know what IPT actually is now. The idea that depression occurs in an interpersonal context (bereavement, transition, dispute, lack of interpersonal skills) makes a lot of sense, but it would have been helpful to have more specific guidance on the actual techniques used. It isn't clear to me how this differs from non specific supportive therapy. This is quite an old book though so maybe it would be worth reading more up to date works on IPT
