If you’re like me, you already know too much. There’s no going back. You have a hunch something more might be out there. You get a tingle when you read a fantasy novel or watch a science fiction movie. Sometimes, when you’re slaving away at your desk, you stretch your hand out and wonder if you can make that pen move with your mind. You argue with whoever will listen that fairies do exist. You’ve even seen one.
That is how it always starts, how we begin to understand.
My name is Alex Alcott; I am one of you, a wizard. Pray that I’m still alive when you read this; I might be your last hope... ________________________________________________________________

Too fast. I know it was a short read but it has a great plot, likable characters and real magic. Oh and a great cliffhanger but that doesn't really matter if the reader is rushing. Plus the beginning was weird and didn't connect with the rest of the story. I'm not really certain if I liked it or not. Maybe it's sequel will be better and change my mind.
