Margaret Edith Weis is an American fantasy and science fiction author of dozens of novels and short stories. At TSR, Inc., she teamed with Tracy Hickman to create the Dragonlance role-playing game (RPG) world. She is founding CEO and owner of Sovereign Press, Inc and Margaret Weis Productions, licensing several popular television and movie franchises to make RPG series in addition to their own.
In 1999, Pyramid magazine named Weis one of The Millennium's Most Influential Persons, saying she and Hickman are "basically responsible for the entire gaming fiction genre". In 2002, she was inducted into the Origins Hall of Fame in part for Dragonlance.

Just to give a similar brief review as I have with the first two books - I bought this series at a book sale as my ten-year-old is interested in Tolkien and D&D, and the re-structured trilogy is billed as being for 8-13 year olds. Thankfully I’ve been reading them to him at bedtime, as there are a few things I’ve had to edit out - the first two books it was just a rape reference in one of the characters’ background (which is present in this one as well - seems like they need to keep reintroducing it for whatever reason), but this one also has a character that’s otherwise presented as sympathetic (and for the D&D players out there, is noted as chaotic good in the original adventures) . This is really not appropriate stuff for the age range that they’re advertised for. Also I’m not normally one to pick at problematic views of older authors, but it continues a line of questionable gender attitudes that I’ve been seeing throughout the first two books that quite frankly were already backward in the 80s, especially for fantasy and sci-fi authors.

Otherwise, I’m not as impressed with this volume as I am with the previous two, and the main reason is the inexplicable decision to skip over large chunks of the published adventure series that the novels were adapted from. There are roughly two-and-a-half modules that they handwaved and only refer to in the past tense or highlighted small sections of. This makes the story feel disjointed, but moreover it removes a lot of the actual dungeon-crawling, monster-slaying action that a D&D novel ought to have. I’m hoping it picks up it book 4.

The characters are very well written. I always love Raistlin and how everyone's motives make sense.

Dragonlance sarja 3. raamat
Kahe eelnevaga võrreldes toimus rohkem ja paralleelselt mitu storyline'i.
