Cruise to Murder was just as much fun to read as The Riddle of Hillgate was. While this is book 2, it reads well as a stand alone, and readers won't feel lost if they haven't read book 1. Zoey and Claire are such a fun mother and daughter team. Zoey, the mother is always doing something outrageous that has Claire shaking her head. This mystery has a little bit of everything: romance, murder, voodoo and more. There were enough twists and turns to keep me guessing as to who was responsible for the murders and why they happened.

While there is a lot going on in this book, I never felt lost and kept waiting to see what crazy thing would happen to Zoey and Claire. This was just a fun read a nice break from the genres I normally read. The romances the two were great because it wasn't serious and I loved how the two teased each other about the guys.

The only problem I had with this one was that I am so used to reading books in first person that the narration of some things that the two did was hard for me to get used for some reason. Once I got used to it though, everything moved right along. I can't wait to see what trouble Claire and Zoey will get into next.

The Kane duo is at is again...SO FUN!

Now that the mystery of the Hillgate manor has been solved mother and daughter have set sail for a get-away cruise.

While strolling along the beach on their first island, Zoey's ankle gets caught with some seaweed.

But when Claire looks to help her she sees a "hand and wrist emerge out from the water"....

Suddenly they find themselves entangled in murders, voodoo, and international conspiracy.

Can Zoey and Claire find out what is going on before it is too late?

Such a GREAT SERIES!
A little laughter.
A little mystery.
A little suspense.
A little romance.
A whole lot of FUN, FUN READING!

Fun on the high seas!

Zoey and Claire are back for more adventures on a cruise ship. The characters are just as colorful and the story is as action packed and as wonderful as ever. The story really is a lot of fun and I really enjoyed this one because I love going on cruises. The duo certainly meet very colorful characters and situations. This series is very entertaining but I love that mother and daughter are both strong and quick on their feet no matter what happens, and more importantly they still seem to have fun and find a silver lining.

Thumbs down

This book did grab my attention as books 1&3 did. Glad that I accidentally read book three first as I would have stopped reading the series. Hopefully book 4 is better. Not understanding why a customer must write an extensive review especially if they did not enjoy the book.

My thoughts: The first book in the Zoey and Claire Mysteries series was quiet good and I hoped the same for the second. I am very happy to had the chance to read this novella too. Thanks to the authors and publisher. The second book in the series do leave no doubt about its entertainment. It was amazing.

Zoey and Claire really surprised me. "Cruise to Murder" seemed to be an 'normal' cruise-mystery, but it wasn't. You will find the first dead body very soon and of course Zoey and Claire won't be Zoey and Claire if they wouldn't get to the bottom of that mystery. You can be sure you can't stop reading. Well, I think Butch had described Zoey and Claire at best:

"You two are murder magnets and yet so sweetly enticing, so thrilling and heart pounding, filled with scary adventure. It is terrifyingly interesting to be around you two."

The story is quiet fascinating with an more ambitious content than the first novel and it affords lots of surprises. I was perfectly wonderful entertained! Take my advice and read this series. You will not regret, I promise!

After the whole ordeal with their new home the Hillgate Mansion Zoey and Claire are in need of a vacation. To bad this is not going to be one where they can relax. This time they go on a cruise and keep bumping into dead bodies, if only that was the worst they will encounter on this vacation.

This story is a little more fast pasted then the first one. On every corner Zoey and Claire seem to bump into either trouble or a dead body. Now you think Zoey and Claire have to get scared or al least a bit nervous and they are at times, but most of all they laugh it off. Sometimes they may joke at a time when it isn't exactly appropriate. And where the first book didn't give you a chance to take a guess at the bad guy, this book does. And although chances are you will guess who it is, this gives the story that little extra. I love taking a guess at who did it.
Cruise to Murder is, just as The Riddles of Hillgate, a fast, fun and entertaining read. Yet again this is not a book to take to seriously, but it is defenitely one to enjoy.

Another great adventure!

Tag along with Claire & Zoey in another fun filled exciting adventure! I love the chemistry between the mom & daughter sleuthing duo & the characters they meet. If you loved book 1 then book 2 is another fun filled treat. Wish it would have been longer but now on to book 3!!!

Quirky and zany but fun

If you are looking for a zany lighthearted read then this is definitely for you. A cruise shod be a fun time. However when you mix a murder, voodoo and hot island men that aren't what they seem then you are in for a fast paced read. Great characters, quirky plot that you don't have to concentrate too much on. Fun read.

Kindle book. This wasn't available as a nook. Ugh!
Short, easy read. Not enough mystery.
