Book 5 in the Brides of the Kindred series
This book is a plus length novel--around 130,000 words long

Nadiah has the Sight—the ability to see into the future. But the one thing she can’t see is how she’s ever going to be free of the blood bond her parents forced her into when she was only six. Her fiancée is an evil bastard who delights in torturing her and her only way out of a loveless marriage is for a Kindred warrior to challenge the hated bond. But Nadiah has no warrior to challenge for her—she just has Rast.

Adam Rast doesn’t know why he feels so protective and possessive of Nadiah, only that he’s willing to kill or die to protect her. When the chance to set her free arises, he takes it without hesitation, even though his lack of Kindred blood could mean his defeat or even his death. But Rast has a secret, one even he doesn’t know he possesses. When he undertakes Nadiah’s quest, the truth comes out in a strange and provocative way.

Can Nadiah and Rast live through their ordeal? Will the truth about Rast set them free…or kill them? You’ll have to read Revealed to find out.

She is thirty-something and lives in Florida with a husband, a son, and two cats. She had been writing erotic fiction for her own gratification for a number of years before it occurred to her to try and get paid for it. "God, if there's anything more dangerous than a curious virgin I don't want to know what it is."

Ohhhh, Detective Rast.

This series is so utterly dependable for a good time. I've said it before, and I will say it again. Evangeline Anderson KILLS it with her delicious mix of sci-fi and erotica - every. single. time. I could fan-girl over her for hours.

Revealed is the fifth book of the Kindred series, and ended up putting me back on track after the lackluster fourth installment. This is the story of Sylvan's cousin Nadiah and the hunk-o-rama detective that showed up to help solve the mystery of Lauren's disappearance (from book four). Adam Rast is just a silly human... even though he looks like a Kindred. When Nadiah gets sick, he does everything in his power to make her better, and soon finds out that his power holds a lot less limits than he thought.

I just LOVED Rast. Loved loved loved him! After the debut novel and sexy Baird, I was hard pressed to find a Kindred I'd lust after like him. But Rast gave Baird a run for his money! He had all the sexy Kindred qualities, but lacked the detached professional approach to life, since he was raised on Earth. Which means he had more flaws. Which means he was hotter.

This whole series is completely formulaic, so by the fifth book you know exactly what you're going to end up with. However, I'm very intrigued by the new bad guys (Reevers, anyone?!?), so that's going to be a fun story to read.

I highly recommend reading this series if you're a fan of sci-fi and book porn. It's not the best, by far. But it is so consistent for it's humor, story building, and hot sexy time. I just love these books, and I will continue loving them until Ms. Anderson puts her Kindred boys away for good.

This series has been sliding from a science fiction setting to fantasy one since it began. Now, in book five, we're almost completely in a fantasy universe. Sure, we've traveled via FTL drive to a new planet, but after that, it's all magic. That's okay, I'm not really here for a cosmology lesson (or even correct rudimentary physics - good heavens, Evangeline, heavier objects do not fall faster than lighter objects under equal atmospheric drag!). But this is not the strongest entry in the series either. And I think that's due - to at least some degree - to the lazy and obvious situations in which these characters find themselves. In that respect, it's very fantasy and very not science fiction.

It's not all bad. I do kinda enjoy, despite myself, the variances in the relationship between our main characters in Revealed, Rast and Nadiah, and our next feature couple, Merrick and Elise. The elements that make this series entertaining are all here. There's nothing missing. And the book flew by in a blink of an eye. It is entertaining.

But I can't help feeling that by using so much of this book to set up the next (I won't be specific to avoid spoilers), it fails to be completely satisfying in its own right. And I'm not going to complain that the book is formulaic, because this series is recursively formulaic within even a single book (like a fractal formation of erotic tension). But somehow this was missing the boner-popping goodness of previous books. Dare I say it's starting to concentrate too much on the larger plot and too little on the intimate details of carnal exploration?

Ha. Anyway, it's entertaining and obviously a must-read for fans of the series. But I am definitely thinking we're due a hell of a sexplosion in the sixth (and final?) book!

1.5 stars- only because I'm not ready to admit I hated it as much as Fifty Shades of Grey.

OK, where do I begin with this trainwreck? After utterly adoring the rest of the series and recommending it to everyone I know who enjoys lusty paranormal romance, disappointed doesn't even begin to describe my feelings about this book.

1. The editing. Did we fire our editor between this book and the last one? While I can forgive a lot of mistakes self-published authors make, "roll" instead of "role" over and over and over and over again is not just a mistake, it's a travesty. Mostly because every time they wrote about "separating the rolls" or "not a roll you're comfortable with", I almost died laughing, which was, well, not exactly what the tone of this book should inspire. Besides that, there were numerous misspellings ("Coucilor"? Really? Even *my* spellcheck found that one.) and, at one point, "As if on cue..." was used multiple times on the same. damn. page. I don't think I'd be quite so put off by this if it existed so prevalently in the previous books. If it did, I didn't notice it as much.

2. Rast. Not since Christian Grey have I wanted to punch a character in the face so damn bad. Rast is pious, arrogant, and, really, just a downright asshole. He sounds like amn ex-boyfriend of mine. Dude, seriously. It's an alien race and you really can't believe they have powers you don't understand? Go on, tell me more.

No, seriously, go on. I'll wait. You must be a real peach at parties.

3. The plot. WHAT PLOT? I think I figured out what would happen before the author did. It felt like this whole book was being made up as we go along with bits of "Oh, shit, I have to tie this in somehow! Let me go throw an unnecessary blurb in back in chapter six!" thrown in.

I love this series, but this book simply didn't work. It felt disjointed, rushed, and mismatched.

4 stars for the plot & creativity, even though my enjoyment was a three...ugh, can I please just have a 4 star read already? not even 5, it shouldn't be this hard loll...I feel as though Old Me would have given this 4 stars tbh.

I had been looking forward to Nadiah's book for a while because I loved her personality. Rast was also great, but from reading the reviews, they gassed him up a little too much that it gave me very high expectations for him. I do think, however, that they fell in love a little too fast. Yes, I am aware that they met in either book 2 or 3 of the series, but they still didn't know each other well when each thought to themself (Rast) first that they loved the other. Also, why was Adam always referred to be his last name in this book? It had me forgetting that Adam was his first name and thinking that Rast was his first name.

There's A LOT less sex in this one, and I'm glad that they never had to do intimate things because of illnesses or for markings to hide Nadiah's scent, as the other couples did in all the other books. It was amusing at first but got old after a while. There is only one vaginal sex scene for the main couple like all the other books. Each vaginal sex scene is unique I just realized because each Kindred/Scourge has a different type of bonding sex. This one was unique because Adam had wings that enhanced the sensory experience. I was thinking to myself how she was basically having sex with an angel.

I also really liked the blood bonding challenge in this book. Nadiah is betrothed to the sadistic Y'dex, or Yodah, and wants to get out of the whole blood bond before it becomes an arranged marriage. However, only a Kindred warrior can challenge and break the bond. I think it was obvious to the reader that Adam was a Kindred or half a Kindred, so I don't think it's a spoiler to include it here. His newly revealed to him backstory is actually fascinating. I also loved the scene where he finally went to visit his mom and learned that he was adopted. I wanted to live/visit their house though, not gonna lie. His mom was pretty rude, especially when he was like I don't ever think I can see you again. And she was like, "we'll manage without you". It made more sense when we found out that she was his adopted mom and never wanted him in the first place. (His dead sister Jess wanted a baby brother.) Before I knew all this, however, I thought to myself wow, the first Kindred book where the male is the human and the girl is the alien! Turns out they were both aliens though, LOL. I also wonder how Nadiah differed from human females, other than not possessing a hymen. From the descriptions I was given, it sounded as though she looked exactly like a human, which couldn't be true since she IS an alien.

So after the whole blood bond thing was resolved, I felt that their lives had suddenly become boring (don't interpret this as the story became boring because it didn't) and wondered what they would do next and why there were so many chapters remaining. This book could be divided into 2 parts: one being the time at Tranq Prime with the challenge and then the time at the First Kindred world.
Turns out, they still have a lot of work ahead of them, so much so that I am surprised they didn't get another book. Not only that, the new conflict (the Hoard want to conquer, aka wipe out, the whole universe but why though??? they're so dumb) seems much more insurmountable than that with the Scourge. The AllFather seems like child's play in comparison. (Still surprised no one was like if we just killed him, the issue would be over.)

Also, Evangeline, just saying I didn't need Xairn's & Lauren's sex scene. It didn't do anything for me. She always puts in one sex scene for the previous couple in the current book.

Definitely curious about Book 6 because it ends on a cliffhanger and because I don't see how the next big conflict with the Hoard will be resolved...probably over several books because there was a new villain and no talk of the Hoard that I remember in Book 14 (I read that out of order).

This is my favorite so far of this series. It has strong plot with lots of twist and turns. The hero is steadfast so this make the romance decent.

The villains are awful in an over the top kind of way. The writing moves along at a nice pace.

However, the characters don't really grow and there couple much more here.

Fast fun read with a lot of angst.

Adam Rast is a detective and is very passionate about his career. When he first meets Nadiah he doesn't believe her unique gifts, even though he has some of her own. Nadiah is insistent on helping him finding the missing women, but when she has one of her visions she collapses in his arms, and before he realizes it he is caught up in something he can't let go of. Nadiah is Kindred, and even though she is blood bonded to a vicious and evil man since she was child, she is desperate to hold on to her precious freedom. But when he ends up shooting her with pain straight to her chest, that she can barely function, she knows her time is running out. She has dreamed of a man rescuing her, because only a strong enough Kindred male can save her from a lifetime of rape and abuse. But the only man she has dreamed of is Adam Rast, which is strange because he isn't kindred right? When Adam finds out the truth of Nadiah's situation a deep part of him can't resist claiming her for his own, and fighting for her in a challenge against her blood bond that she was forced into. But as he helps Nadiah there is a secret of his past, a secret that could either save them or destroy them both?

Revealed is the fifth installment in the Brides of the Kindred series. I recently discovered this series just a couple months ago, and oh boy do I love it. This series is a science fiction based erotica. Although it is under the "Erotica" category, it is so much more than that. As many of you know, I am super picky about Erotica's. I just love a solid romance, so Erotica has to be well done in order for me to enjoy it. This series is by far one of my all time favorite erotica series. It is a science fiction based theme, where we have humans dealing with aliens called the Kindred. These Kindred are fierce warriors and protectors. They have a strict society with many rules, and a strong belief system. I would highly recommend you read this series in order since the books are interconnected and you may get a little lost if you try reading in the middle of the series. From the first book I was very intrigued by the set up of the series and the unique way this author tells a romance. And yes they are romance based and in fact I think they are more romance than erotica in many ways. There are a couple books that have a few bdsm related scenes, but nothing too dramatic or over the top.

In Revealed we have Nadiah and Rast, who we have seen bicker and fight for a couple books now, so I have been looking forward to their story, because even from the second book when we are first introduced to them, we see sparks fly like wildfire. There is a wonderful tension between them, and once this story begins, you see a deeper connection form between them once Nadiah is put in danger. I loved how even though Rast is supposedly human, he looks and acts like a kindred male. Alpha and possessive and so protective of Nadiah, it makes you want to cry. I love how he sweeps in to save the day knowing he may die. The plot is never ending with intrigue and mystery and such a sweet love story mixed in. It does have some sensuality into it, but I felt like it was balanced with everything else going on in the story. I love the focus of their relationship that was ever present all the way through. And oh boy was there some sweet and tender moments, that I couldn't get enough of this story. A impossible to put down read that I soaked up like a sponge.

Overall a telling story of sacrifice, love and devotion. A passionate tale of two people that are destined for each other, with riveting scenes, engaging characters and a plot to sweep you away! BEAUTIFULLY WRITTEN AND LEAVES ONE BREATHLESS!

Main characters: Adam Rast and Nadiah
Type of Kindred bonding: First world and Tranq Kindred bonding

This is another book I thoroughly enjoyed!
A little about the background: Rast was the private investigator that was looking for Lauren. He comes from earth and he is very pround of it. Nadiah is the cousin of Sylvan. She comes from Tranq Prime and she hates it. Rast and Nadiah shared a kiss in Sylvan and Sophia's wedding. It was Nadiah's first kiss. And then they started hating each other. Or at least they though they hated each other.

In this book: Nadiah needs to go back to her planet to have her bonding ceremony with Y'dex, a man she has a blood bond with since she was a child and she hates it. Y'dex is an asshole with capital A. Rast decides to go back to her planet with her to help her brake the bond. And then they fall in love. And then Rast discovers who he really is.

What I liked in this book:
-The main couple was adorable. They were perfect for each other.
-The description of the games Y'dex and Rast had to play to earn Nadiah.
I felt like I was watching a movie, or better like I was inside a movie.
They were cinema quality scenes.
-In some parts of the book, it felt like I was reading about
how superman ended up in earth and I really love superman.

What I did not like in the book:
-Rast's parents and especially his mother.
He went to tell her he is leaving earth and she told him
a major devastating fact about his life like she was talking about the weather.
What a bitch!
- Nadiah's parents and especially her mother.
They let stupid Y'dex torture their daughter.
I mean really painfully torture her.
And her mother especially behave like it was Nadiah's fault
and she should be suffering even more.
What a bitch!
-The priestess that poor and sad Sophia consulted.
What a bitch! Nothing more to say.
- The other priestess in the First World
What a major bitch!!!

Can't this goddess choose better assistants? ??

New players around: Merrick, Elise and Draven

Needless to say I loooove Anderson's writing and this particular series. I only hope at some point Liv, Sophia and Kat will stop eating every time they meet. Can't they just have coffee or a drink when they are gossiping?

Another Kindred book! I love this series, it has started many fantasies about being transported to an alien space ship and...probed by a sexy Kindred warrior (or Warriors!) and this book has furthered my obsession with all things Kindred.

Revealed is about Nadiah, Sylvan's cousin and Adam Rast, the human detective who has made a career out of finding the lost. Nadiah and Rast's attraction has been growing since they first met at Sylvan's Bonding, but despite starting off on a tongue to tongue basis things have gone down hill since then as Rast accuses Nadiah of being a fraud when she has her visions, only later to find out that her Sight is genuine. But despite their differences their attraction has grown, but nothing can come of their mutual desire as Nadiah has been blood bound to another as a child. But when Rast sees the cruel way Nadiah is treated by her betrothed he is deteremined to break the bond, no matter what the cost to himself.

What I loved about the romance in this book, was that the hero and heroine knew they loved the other pretty much from the start and it was other people putting obstacles in their path, not any extremely irritating and unnecessary Misunderstanding. Also as this series has gone on, the heroines have become much more likable, Nadiah was pretty cool, I loved how she stood up for herself and her man. And Rast was HOT! I love the whole possessive she-is-mine thing. This book was also incredibly hot, I love how the Kindred males love their females and I love a man who talks dirty and Rast's mouth was filthy!

This book also introduces a brand new threat to the universe, and I can't wait to see what happens with that and how they can stop them. It is also great because I know there will be more books in the series. I am really hoping that Merrick, Sylvan's friend and a Hybrid, is next, I LOVE the tall, dark and dangerous ones!

Of the series, this is the best so far. There was an actual plot (albeit a tropey one) and there was not as much mindless rough sex.

That being said, there is no character development (much like the rest of the series). I got tired of all of other couples plot lines, we could have spent the time on character and relationship building.

I do have to say that Rast might be my favorite male character of this series. The female was the typical romantic lead shell.

But overall, this series pales in comparison with her other work like Dangerous Cravings.

But I still consider this series as "porn erotica".

So this just might be my favorite so far. Loved Rast he was great! While these do have their cheesy moments it's all good. This one does set up the next one nicely and I like that we have a new bad guy to hate too. I connected with the characters instantly and found myself turning the pages because of the suspense. I'll be reading the next one sooner rather than later.

Probably my least favourite of the series so far. I found myself a little bored as couldn't connect with Rast and Nahdia as much as the others. I am looking forward to book 6, though, as Merrick and Elise seem really interesting!

I really enjoyed Nadia and Rast's story. I loved the not-so-love triangle with Yoda.

These books have got so much going for them. I adore the world building, the different types of aliens and the hot sex. The whole series is excellent. I will get through them all eventually.

I liked this narrator too.

I am a big fan of the Brides of the Kindred series. The story of Nadia & Adam Rast is one that we have expected and one that brings a lot of excitement. This book was no disappointment. I loved this story as much as I loved Found. Don’t get me wrong I enjoyed the first 3 books as well but Found and Revealed are my favorite of the series.

Revealed starts right off where Found ends. We have had glimpses of what was in store for Nadia and Rast but I what we got in this book is a lot more than expected. I certainly adore the way these characters interact; their development was nicely thought out and detailed.

I enjoy Evangeline Anderson’s writing style; she has that imaginative and charismatic way of story telling. The 2 main characters are a gust of fresh air. Yes there is the usual stubbornness, conflicts and drama but that’s exactly what makes this story so good. Anderson is able to maintain Nadia’s innocence and inexperience yet she is able to bring out the curiosity that makes readers fall in-love with her. There is also a touch of cheesy, there I said it!. The story can sometimes border line annoying but it is more related to the other characters. I like Nadia because her character is sweet, loving, and curious.

I was quite happy to find out that many of my assumptions were correct. If you have followed the Brides of The Kindred Series you will come up to some of the same conclusions as I did. Of all the female characters of the series Nadia and Kat are the best.

What I enjoy the most in this book is that Anderson is able to maintain Rats’s stubborn and harsh personality. I also like how easily their story flows and how their interaction make the story feel real. The relationship between Rats and Nadia flows easily and it grows slowly. Nadia is strong, her inexperience doesn’t make her weak, she is plenty curious about men and the like, and she isn’t ashamed to ask or to enjoy the experiences.

Rast’s stubborn attitude got me; I totally love this character personality. He is head strong, sometimes unyielding yet sensible. Though I was not sure how their story was going to unfold I was happily surprise. Since the All father was out of the picture I wasn’t sure what conflicts and drama was going to make this story interesting. I was nicely surprised. In this book we are introduced to new characters, new evil and excellent conflicts. I totally love this book and I recommend it highly.

This book has an interesting plot; it follows a different path than the other 4 books, but don’t let that fool you; it has the same hot and passionate ingredients that the other books in the series have, making it just as hot, as great and as sexy as the rest of the series. There are plenty of steamy scenes, plenty of passionate talk and kick-ass action. Rats is the latest and hottest Kindred in the series. Evil has a different face and I can’t wait to read more about HIM.!

4.5 Stars

Review contains some spoilers within.

Another great adventure by Ms. Anderson! I really enjoyed this novel, like I have all the others. The only reason I gave it 4.5 Stars was because there were a few parts in the middle that dragged a tad.
Nadia is definitely one of my favorite heroines thus far. She's witty and her innocence made the story very amusing. Not knowing what a vagina was (Which is referred as the dirty P word, of course) and her reactions while Rast, explained were hilarious.
Nadia: "My p...? What that? You ... want to lick it? How does that work?"
The storyline was intriguing. I like how Rast's hidden identity was similar to my all time fav superhero, Superman. I mean, Superman was always eye-candy. But now that Henry Cavill plays the roll, Lord give me strength ... Back to Revealed.
Foreshadowing as to Rast's true heritage, started in book 4. I guessed that he was a Kindred then, I just didn't know what kind. The author did a great job with dropping bread crumps that lead to the end, where you found out everything. The Sci-fi aspects were very creative and I enjoyed that I got to see First World. Also to learn other facts about the past and how they affected the present. I have to give props when they're due. Ms. Anderson writes Sci-fi extremely well. She has an extremely creative imagination.
The concept of the blood bond was different than other bonds I've read in others stories. Which was nice that the author put her own spin to it. The trials on Tran Prime were dark and entertaining at the same time. Yedex was a horrible sac of shit. I'm thrilled and relieved the
little bastard got exactly what he deserved. I only wished Nadiah's parents got what they should have coming. They are one of the worst set of parents I've ever read about.
Minus the unnecessary usage of the P and C words, which come with the genre being erotica, the romance and love scene were romantic and hot!
Merrick and Elise's introduction is intertwined perfectly in this story. As always, Ms. Anderson does a great drop with revealing the couple for the next novel and building up your curiosity.
Can't wait to see what happens with them.

When I finished this story, I remember having the same reaction to it as I did to Claimed, the first book in this series, which was "how in the world can someone have such imagination as to write such a wonderful story AND weave erotica and romance into it at the same time?" It was really amazing! Right around the halfway point, I thought it was over, and then realized I had barely scratched the surface. What a FANTASTIC story. If you are entranced with the wonderful world that this author has woven regarding the Kindred, this is one of the BEST books in the series so far that I have read, and I am just thrilled that there are more. The descriptions...the action...the romance...the dialogue...the humor...the story! It was just INCREDIBLE!!! What a wonderful, WONDERFUl story. And the way that Rast was "revealed" was actually believable...kind of Butch the Black Dagger Brother meets Superman-ish. LOVED it!

This entry into the Kindred saga sets our world up for a whole new evil - worse than the Scourge! Ms. Anderson also introduces a new couple and many new twists in the story line. I almost feel it was a few too many new twists, but my interest is snagged and, like a kid with cookies, want the next one as soon as I finish the one in my hand. I particularly like Rast and Nadiah and it was great fun catching up with the other couples on the Kindred mother ship. I'd say more but don't want to spoil anyone's fun - just go read it!

Not my favorite from this series but still really good. I'm happy that Nadiah finally got her HEA. Rast was hot and all but I just didn't feel the same carnal desire between them. Great to catch up with the gang of previous characters especially Lauren and Xairn. I'm also really intrigued by Merrick...looking forward to learning more about him in the next book.

Okay so I'm finally, officially off this mothership of a series. I really can't take the low self esteem drama and the back and forth - should we, shouldn't we? Ugh. I need an alpha to take over and there just isn't one in sight in this galaxy.

Someone tell me how this series ends up. :)

This book sucked so much ass I don’t even know where to start. Initially I was somewhat excited to read it, as I didn’t know it had come out, and even though I think the series is ultimately kind of stupid, I still enjoy my doses of Evangeline-erotica. No one does dirty talk better, I swear.

But the story…damn it was a huge cheese-fest. The whole thing played out like a bad Disney movie. And the characterization was markedly poor in this one. The antagonists were straight up evil, with no shades of grey, no explanation for why they did what they did. I found Nadiah’s parents in particular, to be especially hard to believe.

The heat between Rast and Nadiah was there, but their romance played out so predictably and it was so traditional, that I felt like I was reading a child’s fairytale with some sexy stuff thrown in. Nadiah even has to remain a virgin until she’s permanently bonded, or she’ll become a social pariah on Tranq, because when Tranq women lose their virginity, their eyes change color a shade or two, so everyone knows.

And Rast being I keep hoping Sophia will be killed off, she and her twin are my least favorite characters by far, and I can’t help but hope that they’ll suffer in some way when the new evil really starts laying out his plans. I know, I’m sick and sadistic.

We are introduced to a new couple in this book, Merrick and Elise. Merrick is a hybrid of Blood and Beast Kindred, and he has the sex traits of both as well (more mating fist? BLECH! Whyyyyyyyy?) He’s described as being even more huge than a normal Kindred warrior, and as having one blue and one amber eye, and scars on his face. He’s friends with Sylvan but other than that, he has no one and is portrayed as somewhat of a loner anti-hero type. Elise is a human woman from Earth who was kidnapped by the All Father but escaped in a life pod, only to be discovered floating through space in stasis, by Merrick who brings her to the mother ship. Elise needs medical care because she was tortured and beaten, and Merrick finds himself feeling the all too familiar feelings of protectiveness and possessiveness with her, right off the bat. Cliffhanger! It’s pretty obvious that the next book will be about them and I will probably read it, and probably kind of hate it.

Thinking about it, I’ve realized that what bothers me most about these books, is the way that Anderson portrays men and women and the ways that they relate to one another. Her men are supposed to be alphas, but they are really only alpha in size and strength; not so much with women or with each other even. With the exception of Rast in his introduction into the series, they are written without real attitude or interesting personality traits of any kind. They never do anything too crazy, they don't argue with their mates or pull any dick moves. They only live to supplicate their women, and their women are usually always helpless, insensitive, and/or bitchy damsels that don’t deserve it and that I could never imagine would really be paired with such men in reality. And maybe we’re far from reality but I’m unwilling to suspend my disbelief in this case. What’s more, these men essentially believe that anything with a vagina needs to be protected and cared for, and they are willing to give their lives to do so. I don’t agree with this philosophy one bit, and I say that as a woman and as a human being. It bothers me that in a time of equal rights for all (or almost all) that we are still recycling such outdated concepts. If women and men are truly equals, then why are the men’s lives so easily expendable? There’s also the fact that all in all, sex = marriage/bonding/together foreverness, which is suspiciously puritanical in my opinion.

I don’t have high hopes for the next book, but maybe that way I won’t be disappointed.

Another great entry in the Brides of the Kindred series. As usual we start from a point not to far removed from the end of the previous book. We have multiple POV's and multiple stories going on which are directly related to what is happening. The stories have a natural progression and always seem to bring just a little bit of something new each time. While we get to know new characters, we still have the pleasure of keeping up with those we have come to like from previous books. Each time you visit a new world you can see the differences that have been woven through it but also the similarities to our own. Things are starting to become even darker than they have before and that can bring a whole new element to the story.

Nadiah is from Tranq Prime, home world of the Blood Kindred, she came to the Mothership to attend the bonding ceremony of her cousin Sylvan and Sophie. But she came for more than that, she was also running from a bonding which her parents had arranged when she was only six years old. While on the ship she met a human male named Adam Rast and felt drawn to him thinking he was Kindred. Nadiah is being pulled back to Tranq Prime by her blood bond to Y'dex a cruel and abusive male who wants nothing more than to dominate and humiliate those around him. If she can find a champion to challenge the bond, then she can be free, otherwise she is doomed to a life of misery. And it seems that she has as Adam Rast steps up to do just that though he has no real chance of winning being human.

While we have met the usual types of Kindred- beast, blood, and twin there are more out there and we get to find out about some of the more exotic varieties. There is a hybrid by the name of Merrick who is part beast kindred and part blood kindred and a friend of Sylvan. Here is a bit of his story and what we can look forward to in the next installment.

These books are an interesting mix of science fiction, romance, erotica, mystery, and battles. I think everyone should give them a read. I have laughed, cried, hated, loved, and lusted through every book. There is nothing better than a hot man in a spaceship!

*I listened to the book for my second time around and it was just as good if not better than the first time since I knew what going to happen. Love this narrator, William Martin, who does a fantastic job of bringing all the characters to life and making the plot seem even that much more interesting. If you have not read it yet I would recommend that you listen. But just be aware that there are some hot scenes that may not be for the under 18 set ( I use ear buds when at home).

This is really closer to a 4.5 but again, the half star omission on all sites. I LOVE the Kindred Series. It is a becoming a formula series that has the *exact* recipe I love. I feel confident, as a reader, when I begin a Kindred installment I'll enjoy the following: hot romance, alpha-males coming out of my ears, action, intrigue, sci-fi and evil plotters who get theirs in the end. How could one ask for more?

What I loved: the Alpha males! Wow! They're just so over-the-top male and I especially loved the introduction of the less-than-perfect Merrick and the twist at the end that makes me want the next book. Now they're the kind of couple I want to read about! I also enjoyed the "new evil" that Anderson has foreshadowed. The plot turns and twists kept the tension right where I like it to be; taut. I don't like "boggy" reads and Anderson never disappoints, keeping the pace on a tightwire throughout the entire read. Love it!

What I wasn't as keen on: Rask and Nadiah. Meh. They were okay and I loved how Anderson did a slow reveal on his background but there was something kind of "blah" with Nadiah and their whole romantic entanglement didn't read "true" enough for me and seemed rushed (even though the book is 130K!). But, that said, Anderson is terrific at giving a spotlight to other characters via introduction in the storyline, making us want to see the continuation of their story. I can't wait to read Merrick and Elise's' story!

Fans of the Kindred Series are going to love this installment!

Readers that like J.R. Ward and the BDB Series and also want that sci-fi vibe should really love these stories. They can't be beat for the price!

Revealed was a good read. We met Nadiah and Rast in the previous book, now we get the rest of their journey in this book. Nadiah is a seer whose parents have bonded her at a young age to Yo’dah and the time has come for Nadiah to seal the bond to him completely. Nadiah refuses to complete the bond to someone she has no interest in being tied to for life just for her parent’s social standing. Rast has always felt guilty for the death of his sister and soon finds out that he was adopted and his mother adopted him as basically a “pet” for their daughter. Rast has two barely visible scars on his back but other than that he find he has nothing. Rast has feeligs for Nadiah and will not stand by and watch Yo’dah continue to hurt her so he challenges Yo’dah for Nadiah. Rast believes he can free Nadiah but Nadiah wants Rast more than she wants her freedom. Nadiah’s life is in Rast hands but the threat comes from a different source and if Rast wants Nadiah to survive he has to travel to the First World and soon realizes he will never be able to live. Does he value his freedom or Nadiah’s life more? In this book we met Elise and Merrick and we will get their story in the next book. This series must be read in order because every book brings not only a new couple and characters into play but it also continues the full story of how everything and everyone will play a part in future books. A war is coming; Draven is gathering his forces and everyone must be ready to fight.

So ADAM found out he is adopted, his mother is horrible, rich which he knew of course and uncaring. But, Adam is also Nadiah's champion. are on the way to TRANQ PRIME to save Nahiah from her fiancée an evil man who delights in torturing her and her only way out of a loveless marriage. Adam cares for her and she for him maybe?? could she???

She dreams of him and he of her....

Lets see what happends...

Wow, this is one of the most plotted books yet... so much going on. Draven the Hoard master is up to know good planning to take out the universe. Even though y-dex and nadiah break bonds he still sneaks up on rast and nadiah on First world like a bug.. trying to take her..

Nahiah will die if she does not get the healing waters on first world and when rast gets her to the fountain it is dry? wow what now cannot tell!!

Sohpie is barren, will she have kids?? won't tell!!!

Merrick finds Elise and she is in statis but when he opens the statis chamber her soul incorrectly attachted to him..... big drama..

Xairin and Lauren are doing the bdsm kink lol... yum.. and then right before he collars her she passes out what is up....? not telling...

Lots of overload info.. leading to the next book...
READ IT..

It's been a while since I read and enjoyed the first four of this series. However I was not as impressed with this as previous episodes. The amount of typos was quite out of character, either the editor has changed or it missed the editing stage altogether or Ms Anderson is trying to rush her novels out now but it isn't a good impression to give her readers.

The story format is now quite predictable, the new main characters are Rast and Nadiah, Rast thinks he's from Earth but is a new member of The Kindred and Nadiah from Sylvan's home planet Tranq Prime. All transpires against them, but with help from supernatural forces the plot continues as should. The end introduces Merrick and Elissa whom the next book could be about, whilst the couples that have had their stories continue their cameo roles throughout the whole series. The AllFather and his evil has ended so Evangeline has set up a new ultra baddie in the Epilogue with Draveen and his demonic horde. By the way, it's Horde not Hoard!

I'm quite at a loss to star rate this. Past four I gave five stars but this has so many issues it doesn't warrant more than 3 at best, sorry.

3.5 stars

I'm not sure why I didn't love this one as much as its predecessors. There were quite a few editing issues but I also felt like the other characters stories (Merrick & Elise, the Girls, Lauren and Xairn) were used as a supplement because Nadiah and Rast's story wasn't as well developed. There just wasn't as much of their story because the others had more page time in Revealed than any of the other instalments.

It was like the focus was definitely split. We could have definitely had more detail on how Rast

Importantly, we get introduced to the new evil and new set of prophecies that give us some insight into what is coming next. Let me tell you, if you thought the AllFather was bad I think we're in for a new kind of evil.

The author has gone back to the formula that worked in her earlier works. I loved this one. I always know there was something about Detectective Rast. This series hasn't run it's course. Each book has the different factor tha doesn't make the plot stale. And now with the Draven in on the story. It's just like a whole new series.
On a personal note, I bet the author loved writing the epilogue scene to get out a little stress releave. And if she did WOOZER.

Very good book in the series. But It's difficult to read this as a stand alone. Should read the other books in this series to understand this one. But it's one good ride.

I love the Kindred series. The first book blew me away. But this one, though it had a lot of good story, it lacked the polished effort Andersone usually puts into her books. The tone of her author's note in the beginning was a little angry. I get it, but I don't know, it seemed so angry that it put me in kind of a mood. Ya know?

I'll probably read the next book, though not right away. :)

Awesome adittion to this series!! This book isn't as erotic as some of the 1st books, but the plot stands up for its self and doesn't need the extra sex. It also introduces a new set of characters that we'll hopefully get to find out more about in the next book!!
