While on assignment, Kara discovers that Lilith is searching for an ancient weapon that can destroy mankind.

The Seirs’ army grows with every Sensitive they recruit— the odds of victory are grim. With the help of her friends, Kara finds herself on another dangerous mission entrusted to her. But can Kara find the weapon before Lilith annihilates the entire human race?

You know when you ship two people and constantly wish it will happen. Praying to the gods and baby jesus for things to happen. THEN THEY DON'T HAPPEN AT ALL AND IT'S THE FIFTH BOOK OF THIS SERIES AND YOU WANT TO CRY, STAB SOMETHING, EAT CHOCOLATE, AND DRINK LOTS OF WINE!

No? Oh, okay.. it's just me then.

Seirs was a really good book from this really good series. HOWEVER, I'm still salty AF because my ship isn't together. So salty because I didn't give this book 5 stars because of that. MAYBE if they were finally together then it would've gotten 5 stars.. but they aren't so I didn't.

Other than that this book was highly enjoyable. I couldn't put the book down or not look at it. I was hooked man. I think I might have a problem when it comes to this series. I do have some questions about this book though. One of them is obvious because I have no idea what the hell is taking so long for these two characters to finally be together. The other is why the hell or maybe.. how the hell is Zadkiel the only one who can survive in the netherworld? He is apart of it or something? Or half guardian angel and half netherworld person!?!? I have so many questions but that is my theory for right now - even if it doesn't make sense. Maybe I need more coffee? Or less coffee?? OR A NAP!

Overall, I need the next book. I need more of these confusing angels. I need my ship to be a thing! I need more!

Now that the writing style has improved, I seem to be enjoying the books more. This one was going really well until about half way through when the grammar errors became obvious. I usually don't worry about the main offenders, like there, their, and they're, and your and you're, but when you have a word like whole for hole, or fell instead of felt, it makes the storyline stall as the reader attempts to decipher what the author meant.
(Yes, we are all guilty of it. That's what editors are for! To catch our mistakes and help us make it better.)

Anyhow, one thing that has been bothering me about this series is that as guardian angels, they can't taste anything, yet they can smell. Taste and smell are linked, so it just seems to irritate me that they can do one and not the other. It also bothers me that the chief can taste when his angels can't. Maybe there is something about their physical make up that provides the difference?

I also don't understand how Zadkiel can survive in the netherworld, yet other guardian angels can't. It doesn't feel consistent to me to have one immediately burn off his so-called mortal suit when another is just fine. Does he have some kind of demon protection? What is the precident for this?

And for angels to lie and swear repeatedly...well, that kind of bothers me too.

The dialogue was a little more cliche in this one, and the further I get into the series, the more I don't like David. He seems to be becoming more and more immature, and there is no growth with his character, unlike most series. The same can be said for Kara. She just seems to be reliving everything the same rather than developing and learning from her mistakes. I also feel disassociated from Jenny and Peter. I keep waiting for them to turn on Kara or something, but they are just there. Placeholders with no depth. I don't feel invested in them at all.

However, even with these bothersome irritants, the storyline was just enough to keep my interest, but not so much I couldn't put it down.

For my clean readers:
Includes language(no f-bomb), violence, murder, child abuse(starvation and implied physical toture, nothing sexual), and descriptive gore.

Kara and David forbidden to be a couple has soul guardians is killing us and when they finally have the chance to has mortals it does happen it's painful to see especially in this book if you have read it you will know what I mean please please please let them get together in the six book.

I really wish I had the six book I really want to know what's going to happen especially after that cliffhanger hanger also does anyone else think something is going on with Peter and Jenny.

happy Reading

Kara discovers that not all humans are grateful for the work that Guardian Angels do for humanity. Seirs, the humans who can see the supernatural beings, but team up with the side of evil are at war with the Angels in this Novel, the 5th and final book in the Soul Guardians Series.

This series has been drawn out and juiced to its maximum limit. I didn't know how, after the last novel, Kim Richardson was going to pull out enough of this over stretched story to make another 400 page book. In this book, Kara breaks the most absolute angel law and is in a race against the clock to complete her last mission.

The way this story ended the series was so ridiculously pointless. I saw absolutely no reason to have drug the series out into 5 different books. This book was horrible. I am going to actually give it 0 out of 5 stars. Because of this book and the way this drawn out series ended, I was so upset that I spent 4 weeks reading this series and wasting my time.

I do not recommend this series to anyone. After reading all 5 books, I would not even recommend starting it with book #1 "Marked", which was the best and should have been the last in the series.

One of the best books in this series! I was so surprised as to what went down, but the ending was not a let down like I thought it might be. I would, however, have liked to have more of the relationship with Kara and David, but I do understand why that was not possible.

We find our Angels in search of Lilith and the kidnapped Sensitive children. Unexpectedly, Kara becomes a threat in the eyes of the mortals and must watch her every move on Earth. We come to realize that Lilith is way more powerful this time around and it is because of an old weapon the archangels created and hid in 2 pieces. Why does Lilith have a piece of this? Where is the 2nd piece? And what is going on internally with Kara? This book will leave you guessing at every turn, but in the end, our imaginations do what needs to be done.

The problem with this series is that it is like that food that you thought you didn't like, then you try it again and it's not so bad, until you keep eating it and you remember exactly what it was that you didn't like.
For me, this series headed downhill after book 3. Even with the injection of a time-restricted task, this book just did not keep my interest. There are just too many implausibilities and suspending disbelief is getting really hard. There's no payoff from reading them and Kara never seems to do much that is proactive. Victories fall into her lap. The plot conveniences are too many and too great to overlook. I don't know if I can continue with this series without taking a long break from it.
I would stop here, but I generally try to finish things that I've started and I'm already 5 books in. I just really want the next one to be better, but I don't hold out much hope.

This one was a bit of a chore to get through but I did enjoy the ending. Lilith is more of a beauty guru spoiled brat than heartless villainess and I found her incredibly annoying. I'm curious enough to read the last book.

The mission in this fifth book was much more exciting. Non-stop action and surprises await in the story. I seriously have no idea on how to solve Kara’s problem, but in the end, she pulled it through. Although I felt that it was unfair for her, I also happy she had another chance as a mortal, again.

Hopefully, this time we would be able to see more of her with David in her mortal life. Her life so far has always been paused and resume back; at one point, it made me re-think how was that possible. But of course, it's a story, so, anything was possible. Now I can't wait to read the next book to find out more.

Puntaje: 2 estrellas y medio

This was a really good fantasy book. Kara and her friends have a new quest, but have to deal with the vicious seirs. I love how this book is written and how it always keeps you thinking. I was always wondering what was going to happen next. The ending was great it made you think and Kara finally find the answer about if she is good or bad. Other people would like this book because of the how well written it and how relatable it is, but they would have to start with the first book in the series (this is the 5th book).

Im not sure how I felt when this one ended, I was excited that there is going to be another one, on the other hand you kind of feel that Kara had been through the ringer and just deserves to be happy at this point. It was a great story and wonderful action like always and I would recommend this one to lots of people :)

not a bad book. i liked the story line and i like the whole series so far. looking forward to reading the next book. but i found that the story became a little predictable at times. i am not sure if it is because i am familiar with the books and Kim Richardson's style of writing, but it was a good book to read none the less.

So the story continues in Seirs for Kara and her gang. This book was so intense, I couldn't stop reading it when I had the chance. I really can't wait for the sixth book to come out which is in December. Sigh.

I have really enjoyed this series. Good vs Evil. The struggle Kara has with not going to the dark side and becoming like Lilith. And not being able to be with the one you love. Having the whole mortal world's fate in your hands is a lot to take. It makes my life seem so easy.
