Exotic and talented, Bren wants nothing more than to get her hands on the man who saved her and subject him to her healing caress.
Brenawyn has lived life with one goal, survival. When Tracker of the Sector Guard lands on her planet she tries to buy herself some time at his expense and ends up with him and travelling to the Citadel.
Training and teaching for four years, no one is more surprised than Bren when Tracker comes in, his body desperately needing her attention.
After the healing he gives her another option, instead of languishing at the Citadel she can join him at Teklan base.
She keeps him in suspense for the entire nine seconds that it takes her to make up her mind, and then they simply have to negotiate for her freedom. Easy.
I liked that there was a bit more history with this couple. It's interesting that the heroine was considered an exotic being by other species, for a mere earthling, they are all very exotic!!
This was a fun light read with the heroine being saved by the hero when she was young. Tracker or Patrig the hero gave a choice for Bren when she pick pocketed and stumble toward him. He saw great potential in her that he offered her a chance to train in Citadel.
Bren was no ordinary person for she was from a rare species that is almost a myth. Her power of healing is also very special and unheard of but was not taken into an account in her training at Citadel that she was labeled a vet. Her healer power was acknowledge when Tracker only ask for her as his healer that the other healers began to realize how special she was.
I like the relationship between the two characters and find it sweet and definitely recommend it for everyone to have a light read.
As always, Ms. Grace's worlds are great to visit. Thanks for this Cinderella- like story. Being adopted myself, I can empathize with Bren's want to know more about her origins. Hope we get to hear more from her and look forward to the next in this series.
