Magic and wonder fill our world in ways we can never comprehend. Sometimes it brings together the most unlikely of friends. This is one of those stories.
One young cub and one teenage girl are about to learn that our differences are what make us special. Every so often, a Spirit Bear is born in our world bringing hope and peace, but her story does not start that way.
From the moment Aurora was born, the tiny white bear cub stood out from the rest of the grizzly bears of the Great Bear Rainforest. Aurora tries to live her life just like any other cub but is soon picked on for being different. When she has had enough of their cruelty, Aurora runs away from her home on the mountainside glen. She has no idea that her adventures will lead her to a human girl who will teach her how to accept herself and be brave in a world that seems set against her.

An interesting story of a spirit bear coming into her own after being abducted. Spirits and real animals worked together to rescue her.

Aurora is a grand adventure. I love stories that bring knowledge and culture together. Also, who doesn't love a tale with adorable bear cubs and wolf pups? The Spirit Bears are a symbol of hope and peace for a nation of people. When Aurora and her brother Blanco(twin Spirit Bears) are stolen by trappers, it takes more than the village to save her. Human and animals alike try to keep their beautiful symbol safe and alive. This is a great tale filled with magic and wonder.

Okay, anyone who actually knows me knows I love bears and this story tugged at my heart!

Aurora and Blanco (twin, Spirit Bear cubs) act just like normal kids until they are kidnapped by trappers who have no respect for the animals, humans or spirits. Blanco keeps telling Aurora she needs to be brave, but she isn't sure she can. There is so much going on in this story that I could not do it justice without telling the whole story. This is a must read. You will laugh and cry!
