In this high-octane thriller, Nick Bracco, FBI's top anti-terrorist agent is drawn into the hostile environment of the Arizona-Mexico border. A member of his task force is ambushed by Mexican assassin, Antonio Garza, known as, "The Butcher," while trying to prevent the cartel staffer from transporting a dirty bomb into the US. As the agent is on the verge of slaughter, he calls Bracco with one last plea: Kill him.
Garza, however, uses his cartel money to reach over the border and secure a network of US law enforcement to be on his payroll. Bracco is forced to track him down with just a couple of agents he can trust, plus his cousin Tommy.
Tommy is a shrewd character with extensive Mafia contacts who offer their underground assistance as Bracco spearheads the deadly game of Sicilians versus the cartels.
Can Nick Bracco track down Garza before the assassin finds him first?

He is an avid reader, runner and loves spending time with the family.
A Mexican criminal with a fool proof way of getting stuff across the border kills the wrong FBI agents. Nick Bracco and Matt McColm get on the case. The cartels strike first, but then Tommy Bracco gets involved.
Good tension. Tommy is working his way up to his own series.
I received this book through a Goodreads Giveaway. Its an action adventure story regarding Special Forces heroes, Mexican cartels and Mexican politics, as well as Islamic terrorists and American government and agencies. In other words, it covers all the bases. A little too violent for me but action lovers will enjoy this one.
Author, Gary Ponzo, provides a fast-paced, gripping, and intense read with his latest instalment in the popular, Nick Bracco series.
The author turns on the excitement from the opening chapter and keeps the flame alight throughout. With well-developed leading characters, Nick and Matt, and a heady mix of villains I was totally absorbed by this terrific story. As readers we are introduced to a different world, a world where danger is an ever-constant fact of life. The dialogue is superb together with a highly descriptive narrative which makes you feel part of the story.
I have no hesitation in giving ‘A Touch Of Greed’ five stars, highly recommended to all who enjoy edge of your seat thrillers.
Ponzo's Bracco books just keep getting better and better. Like the others, this one is a face paced ride that never lets you catch your breath. I couldn't put this book down until I had finished it. Gary Ponzo is probably the best quality indie author I have ever read--I don't understand why he isn't on the top 5 sellers' list; it's a shame that not enough people have discovered him yet. He deserves to be at the top and hopefully someday that will be where his Bracco books will be sitting.
Ponzo did it again! God I love this series, the latest Nick and Matt installment did not disappoint. Well written, timely for world events and a true pleasure to read... Me being an author myself I'm going to go broke buying all of Ponzo's books... 5 stars across the board, check this series out guys and gals... You will love them all... Keep up the good work Gary, I can't wait for the next one.
I received this book from a goodreads giveaway, that being said I thoroughly enjoyed the authors previous Nick Bracco installments and would have gotten back to this series eventually(too many books, too little time). The story was fast paced, the characters all interesting, the villain a little hokey(which I enjoy). Looking forward to reading the next.
Nick is back in another thriller. Will he be able to save the US from a dirty bomb that is being transported by the cartel? A fast paced read that will keep you glued to your seat.
What starts out with Nick Bracco looking for the killer of two fellow FBI agents turns into a chase of a nuclear weapon being brought into the United States for Palestinian terrorists.
In this the 3rd story, Nick is at home with his wife Julie when he receives a call from one of his team members who is undercover in Mexico. The message that he receives is for him to kill the Butcher.
Nick with his partner Matt, start an investigation into the killing. The only way that the Butcher could now that was an FBI agent is if someone within the organization told him. This leads to a larger investigation relating to bringing a dirty bomb into the U.S. Because of Nick's involvement, Nick's wife Julie is targeted for abduction and during this attempt, Jennifer Steele, Matt's girlfriend, is killed protecting Julie.
Matt brings his cousin Tommy into the fold and with Stevie's assistance they go to the border to attempt to stop the bomb coming in.
If you want to find out how it ends and who the unknown contributor is, then you need to read the book which I highly recommend.
Special Forces team members Nick and Matt provide the reader with a detailed look inside Mexican cartels. They are tasked to locate a dirty nuclear bomb which is about to reach the U.S. border, which they later realize will be primarily through a series of tunnels. The cartel has already killed two team members plus Matt's girlfriend, also a team member. So Matt is out for revenge. The cartel also attempted to kidnap Nick's wife and son.
There's much suspense, thus the reader will be swiftly turning pages. I actually would've liked the story to be just a tad longer to savor the suspense.
Thank you to author Gary Ponzo for this FREE Kindle copy of A Touch of Greed. And thanks to Goodreads for hosting the opportunity.
Well done. A good read. Had a nice pace and set set of characters to keep the story moving along. Just a handful of editing oversights, unfortunately seen as 'pretty darn good' in today's lax e-book world, but other than that, a highly recommended read for those into the action/thriller genre.
OH WOW! Sad first of all for a death! BUT, revenge is sweet and it will happen, and that $5 million worth of joy! All the characters, mostly, a bomb, scary cartel from Mexico! I will be buying all of Gary Ponzo's books because they are Steve Harvath/Travis McGee worth it! Oh, and I won this 3rd one from Goodreads Giveaway/Amazon Kindle but bought the 1st 2 & read them before reading this one. You don't "have" to but it will help!
I received this book through a goodreads giveaway. I really enjoyed this book, it is fast paced, alot of action The storyline was good and it really is pertinent to todays world, since it involved Mexican cartels and mid east terrorists. I liked the 3 leading charactors, Nick, Matt and Tommy and their friendships and interactions with each other . I will definitely read the other Nick Bracco Thriller books
I received Touch of Greed in a Goodreads giveaway. I loved the book it gives a good depiction of what I assume goes on with the drug cartels. This book was very well written, action packed and full of suspense. It was a hard book to take a break from. I would certainly recommend this book and series to others.
Another action-packed Nick Bracco thriller! I’ve done myself a bit of a disservice, though, by reading books 6 and 7 before I read books 3, 4, and 5. It doesn’t lessen the excitement of Gary Ponzo’s writing, but I had an inkling of what the twist was before it happened. Nevertheless, still a great read, as usual.
Books 4 and 5 are left before I’m caught up with the series.
If you are looking for a team of American patriots that will not stop, you have found the right series of books.. there are 7 books in all .. Nick, Matt, and Tommy and all the rest will take you for a ride from page 1 to the last page. A book that is a can not put down and full of action.. I only hope that Mr. Ponzo continues to write for a very long time..
This author takes you to the brink of disaster. His characters, the environment, the events are in tune with much of what is happening around the world. The plot is frightening in its being too close to reality. I would give this amazing author more than five stars of it were possible.
The Nick Bracco books are one of my favorites. Have only read 3 so far but none disappoint. Great characters that leave you on the edgo of your seat as you wonder how they will get out of their various predicaments.
This is an exciting thrill ride from beginning to end. It starts out gripping your attention and never lets up. I did not realize it was the third in a series. It seemed stand alone enough for me but I will read the first two books now to be certain. Thank you Goodreads for this wonderful present.
Very suspenseful and timely in today’s political climate. I appreciate getting this book through Goodreads Giveaway. This is the second Nick Bracco book I have read and definitely plan on reading more.
I read enjoyed reading this book it was a good one it keeps you turning pages to see what is going to happen next Gary Ponzo rocks i will keep reading his books
This series by Gary Ponzo, featuring Nick Bradford is fantastic. A Touch of Greed, with it's generous ending held my interest throughout the entire book.
