Hiro Fujiwara (藤原ヒロ in Japanese) is a Japanese manga artist.
The manga artist was once active under her previous pen name, Izumi Hiro (和泉 ヒロ) at the end of the 1990's but has abandoned the name after she won the Best Rookie award in the LMS for Kaeri Michi, Yuki no Netsu.
Her first series, which is also her latest ongoing work, Kaichō wa Maid-sama! (会長はメイド様!, translation Maid Sama!) is currently serializing in Hakusensha's monthly shōjo manga magazine, LaLa. This series is licensed by Tokyopop for North America, and an anime adaptation was broadcast during Spring 2010.
Okay, I'm kind of changing my tune from the previous volume, but it starting to become obvious now about how much Misaki and Usui care for each other. I appreciate it when Misaki appreciates Usui, and it's awesome that once in a while Usui is lost for words when Misaki expresses herself. I guess I kinda felt annoyed that Misaki was so awesome, only to be beaten at every turn by Stupid Usui- now it is her turn to take care of Usui and they can both be a team against the meddling upperclass family members.

This volume continues with the plot of Usui's older half brother, who has an English valet of his spying on Usui for some nefarious purpose which really hasn't been explained at this point... we also have a wonderful cameo by the three idiots and get to see some real character development (and relationship development) with Aoi, which I am absolutely ecstatic about. Great volume! <33
Chapter notes below for reference: (spoiler heavy)
It's finally official between Usui and Misaki, but she wants to keep their relationship a secret at school. Usui is making that difficult! Then on the class trip, Usui gives her some very unwelcome news...
Series Review: Maid-sama! Is a funny and entertaining manga that I thoroughly enjoyed. The characters were great and carried the manga through when the plot got a bit dull. The plot itself was entertaining. I definitely recommend giving this manga a try.
Usui is the "god Apollo", a pervert, a hottie, a hunk, someone who loves to tease his lover, a hot cartoon character/animated drawing, an outerspace human being, an alien, Misaki's lover/boyfriend (and I am in jealous mode already of Misaki); he is the best-boyfriend-material; was chosen as the best male anime character in 2010. After binged reading 12 freaking Volumes in 3-4 days (and as an adult female reader, my mind is just about Usui, Usui, Usui, etc). I am sick of it that I just have to get this out of my chest... I love the series so much especially Volumes 7 and 12!!!! How can Hiro Fujiwara (the mangaka) create such a hunk, "down-to-earth", relatable (?), vulnerable, animated character on paper! Wow! I mean "WOW!" I have no words! I still have 6 more Volumes of this fantastic dramatic series to catch up (Volumes 13-18), but I have to take a break cause I didn't sleep a wink today cause of binged-reading Volumes 7-12 for the whole day! I am tired but it was worth it. I know about the anime (didn't finished watching the anime in 2010), and have not watched episodes 1-19 of the anime (and have been re-watching on repeat my favorite romantic scenes / moments in the 2010 anime adaptation). Gosh, I wish this series gets a reboot 😭. It is so awesome!!!! I am speechless! So many words that I would like to say in this manga (and emotions that I felt, as well) that I cannot contain in this review 😭😍🥺😖. I am just crying... Crying for a remake / reboot of a proper anime adaptation of this fabulous shōjo series!!!! 😭😖

New theory time! I think Gerald is sick. Something ain't right with that boy and I think it might be terminal. So now, with no other heir, they're reverting to the bastard to take over the family business. Because, of course, they are. Rich idiots who couldn't care less about him before and wanted him to sever ties with the family the first chance he got so THEY wouldn't have to deal with anything messy. Even though they could, they can. And now, they're willing to.
Fuckers.
But Gerald seems like an older version of Usui, just as goofy, just as dorky. Though probably a tad darker on the inside. But him messing with poor old Cedric like that was just hysterical.
Misaki was ready to confess!!! Oh, my God. But honestly, if Usui wants the moment to be private, I can understand and respect that.
Also, Aoi having a low-key crush on Misaki while simultaneously being the scariest person in his class is a mood.
The idiot trio remains iconic as ever.

I'm glad shintani hit usui face so badly for making misaki get hurt even though he doesn't know what's going on or the fact giving him a wake-up call because usui wasn't himself that hes weak n thanks to that usui realized what he's done n the real usui is back. The foreigner bodyguard brother of usui is keeping eyes on usui n misaki to make a move as a ninja n made me laugh n also those other boys doesn't know what's going on but to chased him(bodyguard) since misaki told him. Aoi story to make maid uniform based on maids personality, especially he loved misaki the most.he knows misaki love usui but he support it.

Well, I didn't expect that Usui's brother would be exactly like him in appearance with only difference of their hair colour. Smh.
For unexplained reason, Gerard--Usui's brother has ordered one of his bodyguard to follow Usui. Therefore, Usui and Misaki decide to catch him to get more information... Sadly, they never succeed.
But at the end, boldly, Usui told Cedric that he and Misaki are dating. Whoa :O
Other than that, the last chapter from this volume focused on Aoi's attempt to design costumes for the maid cafe. From this, we know that he is such a talented person in fashion and designing.

I'm realizing that although this is superrrr cute, now that it's been like 7-8ish years after first watching the anime, I've definitely matured and grown past this phase aahahha If i really like I story, I would speed-read in one sitting. Instead, I've split this up into 3 reading days already ahaha especially during quarantine when I have lots of free time --- I've just been hit by the bus of "I've grown over the past years :')" Which isn't bad! Growth is definitely a good thing, but it's nostalgic reading this ahaha
Usui, Misa and their friends chasing after the "ninja" was so funny and heartwarming. They all care for each other. Moreover, the moron trio chapter was a great way to end the volume. Angst starting next volume?
