An architectural tour of Brittan by region. Lovely watercolor and detail. But Rice is quite the grump about the state of ascetics in these areas today. Practically speaking I think he is pretty off base. I'm glad he isn't head of zoning where I liv., But I'm sure where he is head of zoning would be a favorite place to visit.

I’m rating this one 3.5 stars because it so different and niche from what I would normally read. This all about architectural village buildings of Britain. Full of gorgeous illustrations, descriptions of building types and resources unique to each area. It also has maps of each area of Britain. Ie Wessex, The North,The Borders, etc which is super helpful for someone not in Britain (Australian here).
