In Wheels of a Soul, Rav Berg shows how the idea of reincarnation was for centuries either suppressed or ignored by religious and secular authorities. This is not just another New Age tract on "crossing over to the other side." This is the rediscovery of a principle that explains the reality readers experience every day, and gives them the tools to transform both it and themselves. Berg guides readers to questions that have compelled humankind for centuries: What is the purpose of life? How does one find the soul mate necessary to fulfill that purpose? How can today’s events illuminate past lifetimes? What is the true meaning of fate, and how can the individual control fate through free will? Drawing on the world’s oldest body of spiritual wisdom, this book not only educates readers, but also allows them to see the world from the perspective of eternity, inspiring them to radically change their present lives for the better.
I would definitely reccomend having at least a medium level of Kabbalah studies before reading this (ie. K2?), it is a very complicated book that touches on the Kabbalistic connection between reincarnation and tikkun, how both of those work and why/how death happens (all according to judaism and kabbalistic studies of course), so I reccommend a medium understanding level simply to be able to fully understand the terminology used here and the implications of it all, being that it is a very complex work, typically reccommended to students after finishing K3.
I was given this book by my Kabbalah mentor Esther, a wonderful girl, when i was just about halfway through K1. She considered that I was advanced enough from my own research and previous understanding as well as intelligence for this to be my FIRST Kabbalah book ever (about 6-8 years after having read basic kabbalah for teens when i was very young), and am I ever so glad she decided to give it to me. It is a marvelous piece that kept me up until my eyes were closing on their own from exhaustion, in wonder at everything it talks about.
If you are a Kabbalah student then you ABSOLUTELY have to read this book. It will boost your studies and personal work insanely and give you a different perspective on death, life, tikkun and klippots.
Shalom and chag sameach since it will soon be hannukah!
This book was pretty cheesy. I was expecting something less woo but that's my fault. going in. No fault of the authors or with the content of the book. I just didn't care for it is all and I did not enjoy finishing it.
This book was recommended to me, and I really tried to give it a chance - see it through to the end. But, I just can't do it. I'm not the type of person to leave things unfinished... but the book was very poorly written (in my opinion) with little evidence to support the conclusions it was making. I definitely won't be recommending it to anyone!
Combination of spiritual and scientific perspectives on reincarnation. Recommended only for those interested in the field of study; to be read with an open mind.
