I really adore this book. It shows how we can get plenty of calcium without eating dairy. The recipes are divided into the following sections: spreads and dips, soups, salads and salad dressings, main courses, side dishes, burgers and patties, pasta, desserts, beverages. All recipes include nutritional information per serving with the amounts of: calcium, calories, protein, fat, saturated fat, carbohydrates, fiber, iron, sodium. These recipes are all free of animal products/vegan. The recipes & information make it a must have cookbook for those wanting to eat dairy free. There aren’t a lot of photos in this book but the ones there do the job: looking at them, I want to make and eat each of the dishes shown.
CalciYum! by David & Rachelle Bronfman makes it easy to get your daily calcium without dairy! I love the tofu scrambled eggs and great soup recipes. There is a nutrition grid included with each recipe with calcium, protein, sodium and fat counts.
