Nurses' Quarters

Rate this book
"This is the story of lovely women...lonely women...women who drift into the ways of unnatural love. What makes them what they are? Is there some unwholesome predisposition, some twisted experience of childhood, that nurtures the growth of these 'flowers of evil'? Or does this noxious phenomenon inevitably occur when girls are herded together, as in schools, camps -- and nurses' quarters?"

Classic, classic lesbian pulp. The protagonist, Claire, is a feminine woman who's scared of men and thus extra susceptible to Sapphic wiles. The Lesbian, Birdie, is a butchy/wants-to-be-a-man type lady who seduces Claire into the ways of Unnatural Lurve. But she upsets Claire by running hot-and-cold at work, and by continuing to carry on with her ex, Nessa. What will Claire do?

Don't worry, though. Claire can still be saved by the Right Man!
