Sanat tarihçisi Mark Powell-Jones'un hazırladığı Empresyonizm, bu konuda okuduğum ilk sanat kitabı. Kitabı bana @hakan.bilge tavsiye etmişti ve konuyla alakalı genel bilgi edinmek ve başlangıç aşaması için gerçekten çok doğru bir tercih yapmamı sağladı.

Kitap empresyonizmin doğuşu ve akımla ilgili genel bilgiler verdikten sonra, eleştirmen Philip Cooper tarafından seçilen empresyonist tablolar detaylı şekilde anlatılıyor. Kitapta 50'si renkli 83 resim bulunuyor ve 48 resmin de detaylı incelemesi var. Baskısı çok güzel, kitap büyüklüğü de bence yerinde olmuş.

Sanat kitapları okumak isteyip, nereden başlayacakları konusunda tereddütte olanlara öneririm. Ben eserleri incelerken hem keyif aldım hem de tabloların nasıl okunacağına dair bir fikrim oluştu.

Informative, but the writer has too many clauses, even though I enjoy a good clause, which can become confusing.
