I'm dipping my toes into goodreads to see how it works. Thanks for finding me here, and thanks to everyone who has read and written about my books. I love to know you're there, even if I don't come here too often to say so.

Are you being called by the buzzing of the Cicada? If you like insects, Helen Frost;s Cicadas will excite you as you enter their fascinating and time lives. The author invites the reader to learn about the physical characteristics of the Cicada as well as the different habitats that they are in. This book is filled with colorful and amazing photographs, some of them, very close up! This book has the ability to ignite the young readers curiosity and desire to explore more in other books. It is a good place to begin. So if the annual Cicada cycle buzzes in your ear, or that of a young reader, this informational nature book is for you.

I would recommend this book for grades 2nd through 5th.
