I just loved the three stories!

The first was a story about a man in the war who didn't want to fight. He was a conscientious object and all he wanted was to go home. However, as the time for him to get home was pushed back, he ended up meeting men who caused him to debate his decision. The ending will surprise you.

The second story was about the initiation of a boy. He had to go alone into the forest to prove he was a man. I felt all the emotions he felt as he struggled to survive.

The third was about a obsessive-compulsive man who tries to survive day-to-day. Often we lightly attribute quirks of others to this disorder but here we see its true debilitating effects.

All three stories are well told, with true characterization and dialogue.
