Robert Gordon (b. 1961) is an American writer and filmmaker from Memphis, Tennessee. His work has focused on the American south—its music, art, and politics—to create an insider's portrait of his home, both nuanced and ribald.
This survey occurred among 1952 offenders incarceratedin provincial adult and youth prisons in British Columbia on April 1993. In analyzing the results, the authors made a range of recommendations and observations relative to the ethnocultural population of this group. First, they noted that Aboriginal offenders were over-represented. Second, they recommended the expansion of Aboriginal programming. Third, they drew attention othe ethnic minorities for religious and dietary needs, for ESL clases, etc. They noted that there was a degree of racist dialogue between offenders and sometimes with staff. They noted few incident reports mentioning ethnocultural offendes.
