This third installment has the same flaw of the previous ones: a tightly close-mouth heroine. It's becoming rather annoying!

OK, if you met a 900 years old highlander what would you do?

OK, he's HOT, but...

But, even Chloe has her own secrets that are as strange as those Lucan have. So she doesn't tell her secrets even when Lucand does tell his. I'm asking myself: WHY???
All the things happening around them and she doesn't tell???!!! WTF!!!!
And her secrets are nothing really, really strage ... mah...

Lucan is delicious: he's kind, he's fun, he's (have I said it?) HOT.
Chloe not so much.

I consider not finishing this one at the beginning, but it got better after a bit. The story is interesting and the writing is fine, but, please, Ms. Ashgrove do write a little bit more trusting herione! :D

From the beginning, this series of books has enthralled me with its refreshing paranormal tales that blend the historical with the modern, offer a creative, darker twist on an immortal battle between angels and demons and present the readers with worthy heroes and their feisty heroines who battle their way to love.

Immortal Trust is the third book in the Curse of the Templars series. It shouldn't be read as a standalone. My summary and review will contain mild series spoilers just to warn you.

And in this book, we have arrived at Lucan's tale. Lucan didn't exactly endear himself in previous books so it was with avid interest that I cracked this book open eager to read. And yes, smugly watch his downfall to his own seraph.

The story opens with a Prologue that sets an ominous tone for everything that comes after it. A month later, Lucan finds himself accompanied by Caradoc and a European knight, Gareth on a two pronged mission to retrieve one of the sacred relics that Azazel is trying to acquire and to retrieve a newly revealed seraph. The mission is personal because it is his seraph, Chloe Broussard, they go to find. Lucan is accepting of finding his seraph and he does have a game plan of sorts because he learned from watching Merrick and Farran claim their seraphs. He was going to earn Chloe's trust first before he 'wow'ed her with all the unbelievable stuff. This all goes awry quickly when Chloe gets her back up regarding the ornate relic box her team unearths the day after his arrival.

Chloe has had to struggle in her profession for years to prove herself. Finally her efforts are rewarded with a big find. And now, yet again, a man she is attracted to is planning to swoop in and take her find and probably take all the credit for the find just like the other one. The first guy had betrayed her trust and she has no intentions of this being a repeat. Better to nip those feelings of attraction right now! Besides, she couldn't let anyone especially the astute Lucan get close and discover what lurked in the dark and is always with her. Just like others, he'd never believe her about the demons.

Lucan has a dilemma. He has to figure out whose side Chloe is on. He sees the demons and her ambiguous reactions and he sees her tenacity when it comes to the relic. Her motives could be entirely innocent of demonic influence, but it could mean quite the opposite. He'd better figure it out quick. Lucan was running out of time and dark enemies were closing in from all sides some he wasn't even aware were his enemies. He realized that to gain Chloe's hard earned trust he must show trust. Lucan puts it all on the line and hopes that Chloe will reciprocate before it is too late.

I know I keep saying the same thing each time I read this series so I'm going to temper my statement this time. This was the best story-- to date. With each book, the tension amps up to whole new level. With Lucan's story, there is a great sense of urgency and the danger is just that much stronger because it comes from more than one direction.

The plot is no fast-paced thriller with non-stop action though it does contain some action scenes. The excitement comes more from the author's deft ability to build suspense until the tension in the reader is ready to snap with the evil characters skulking in the shadows plotting against Lucan and Chloe. It was particularly convincing because for most of the book neither are even aware of where the true danger lies. They know about the demons out in the woods and the dark, but there are villains closer to home.

The other big plot line is the romance of course. The romance was one wild roller coaster ride. Somehow, I thought Lucan would be the problem having met his character in the preceding books. He does have his own issues don't get me wrong but nope, in this one its mostly Chloe who does the 'blind and willful' stuff and this was all without him giving her the heavy news about the Templar curse and the seraphs. She's got some real trust issues and it pushed my patience as a reader because I had the benefit of knowing the danger surrounding her while she dilly-dallied wondering if Lucan was going to burn her like the jerk in her past. The title of this book makes perfect sense just like the ones before it because in the end it all comes down to trust.

Each segment of this series is so unique. The voice is the same, but the tone is slightly different. While much of the story is a struggle between Lucan and Chloe just like the couples who came before, their struggle was different. Chloe doesn't need convincing about the truth like Nicole and Anne so much as that she ignores it in favor of fighting to keep from letting Lucan close to her. Lucan doesn't go all alpha on her like Merrick and Farran in that he shows great restraint and patience which costs him in the end.

As to the other characters, I love when the angels are in the scenes along with other members of the order. The characters both primary and secondary are written with such depth and layers. They are flawed and they grow. The villain and his minions tend to be second dimensional (no offense, I'm good with that because there is no way I want to feel any warm fuzzies for someone like Azazel).

Speaking of the other characters, I want to make brief mention of their minor plot threads. I found myself feeling profoundly sad when it came to the situation with Chloe's brother Julian and the state of mind that Caradoc is in (its okay Car buddy I'll just keeping hoping for you even if you can't). I'm also a bit worked up with this continuing plot thread involving the deluded knight Declan. His actions are hurting others, but he sees himself in the role of their savior. He has done such irreversible harm and yet I can't help feeling pity knowing the day will come when he realizes how blind he's been and how he's been used. But it sure did my heart good to see that scene regarding Tane's attempt at restoring himself after his past actions.

Ah yes, another satisfying read in this fabulous series. I highly recommend it to those who enjoy Contemporary Paranormal Romance involving delicious knights of old living in modern times as demon fighters.

Oh my gosh! This series just has me wrapped around it's spine. Lucan and Chloe have some MAJOR trust issues that they have to work out and along the way some 'sit on the edge of your seat' stuff is happening that left me wondering how in the world this was going to end up. Not just their story but a certain secondary character as well. I can't soak up enough of these guys and Claire Ashgrove weaves a story line that has me amazed and flipping the pages as fast as I can. Twists, turns, and flat out knock you for a loop things are happening. Love, love, love this!

I always enjoy reading this series from Claire Ashgrove. Lucan may be the most noble of knights so far in this story. He sounds really sexy, and Claire really does Lucan's archaic speech very well. He never says "yes" ( I think) it's always "Aye." It really keeps Lucan in character.

The character I found difficult to believe on more than a superficial level was Chloe. Female archaeologists are not like little girls. Demons would probably be afraid of a woman who had the fortitude to unearth a burial chamber. There would also be a lot more intellectual deliberation. She just seemed childlike. Except in bed.

Terrible betrayals were hinted at in the last book; and are an important part of this volume's story. The Templars have been a group of men who depend upon each other. This story explores trust and betrayal on several levels:

Uncertainty brought about by not knowing someone and yet being in a situation where trust is important.
Having someone you always trusted become someone you can't trust at all.
And, trust broken on purpose, for greed or avarice.

Lucan is even chivalrous in bed - yes you got it, Chloe always comes first. Claire does write nice love scenes, hmmm.

I also liked how Claire made this story a little more ecumenical. More about a creator being than a Christian GOD. The whole Azazal capturing these sacred objects and he has the right to take the Almighty's throes seems a bit too "capture the flag." The whole premise of the curse bugged me a bit. Okay they are cursed to immorally fight Azazel's minions and then become one. That seems a bit cross purpose to me. While it's very, very clear that Claire does a huge amount of research and could probably unearth an ancient site herself, the cranky in me gets hung up on these obstacles to suspension of disbelief.
Who am I to question the Almighty's logic in cursing Templars?

I happened to be reading this book as the British were verifying the remains found by a construction crew as those of British King Richard III. Why would that have any bearing on this tale? Well, Chloe and her brother are archaeologists working on the remains of a castle. It added a certain contemporaneous quality to a paranormal romance. I mean if they find ancient kings right off the highway, is it any less likely that they'll find purported artifacts of power?

I enjoy the series and I really enjoyed Lucan. Highly recommend.

Really 4.5 Stars

Is this a series that you can read out of order? No, not really. The overall plot arc is quite complicated and I recommend that you start from the beginning. However, this is a series about Knights in modern day…. Why wouldn’t you read it?

Lucan of Seacourt has been ordered to go find his Seraph, Chloe, at her dig to uncover the Veil of Veronica, the veil said to have been used to wipe the face of a dying Jesus Christ. Yes readers, there are some religious overtones to the book but, as it is fiction, the author has taken some liberties with the traditional stories but it works very well and I doubt there will be any offence taken. Anyhow, he goes to find her and finds, to his relief, that she isn’t a “crone” …yes, this word was used. Yes, it made me want to punch Lucan in the face. What isn’t to his liking is her attitude as she really doesn’t trust him or her attraction to him. He decides, much to my happiness, that he needs to woo her…and he is so cute about it! He is a complete gentleman to her and makes her feel a bit like a princess. Of course, once he gets the all systems go signal, he stops being such a gentleman and basically becomes one scorching hot knight. He is hot in the bedroom, protective in the face of danger and a complete knight in shining armor when he needs to be… I love’s. The “chosen for you” part of the process does take some of the romanticism out of the story but, as there is no “insta-mate” plot, it does make it a little bit more satisfying when it turns out those pesky angels were right!

Chloe is a pretty awesome heroine. She is completely focused on her work and the last thing she wants is to get hot flushes every-time the man, who is supposed to supervise her, comes close. When he starts to make advances she has to make some decisions. He is making life incredibly difficult for her on the dig for the Veronica but he is also giving her some amazing history lessons. It could be so easy to let him closer but the biggest issue is that Chloe has a secret; she sees demons. They follow her around and make her miserable but she can’t tell anyone. The only person who knows is her brother and even he thinks she is a little crazy. What she doesn’t know that Lucan already knows about the demons, but thinks she is covering them up because she is tainted by evil. Yes, ladies and gents, it is a case of secrets killing the relationship once again!! I suppose this is a difficult one to tell the man who is starring in all your x-rated dreams and I got where she was coming from. The major problem I had with her was that she was very slow to give her trust but very quick to take it away. He proved time and again that he was there for her but she just couldn’t believe in him…. I really was not happy with her at points of this story. He had to resort to divine intervention at points and that really annoyed me.

The story arc is about the eternal battle between good and evil. The fallen Angels want back into heaven and are very happy to do anything to achieve their goals. I do like the setting for this series and have enjoyed all installments so far. Lucan has been my favorite man so far but I’m looking forward to a certain tortured Knight’s tale even more….. Yum!

This series is about hunky knights who have a divine purpose and revere their chosen Seraphs’ like they walk on water. It is fast paced, interesting and utterly scrumptious …. *fans*

REVIEW:
Totally loving this series so far, Immortal Trust is the 3rd book in the Curse of the Templars series and by far my favorite. Once again Ashgrove brings together two people who are destined for each other and the demons that want to destroy not only their happiness, but also take an important artifact of the Templar to Azazel. I feel after reading the second installment and now the third that this shouldn’t be read as a stand-alone. I was able to read the second without reading the first but too much happens in Immortal Trust I feel it should be read from the start.

Immortal Trust follows Chloe Broussard, she is in search for the Veil of Veronica after accepting a contract along with her brother. She is also followed by demonic beings that make her nights miserable without being able to sleep. Luck comes when the Templar Knights are sent to the dig site to assist and for Lucan to meet his seraph. But Azazel also wants the Veil and has sent a minion to get right in the middle of it all. Together Chloe and Lucan must work together to keep the veil safe as well as fighting off the demons that are waiting for the right moment to attack.

Lucan was introduced slightly earlier in the series; I was intrigued by him and was happy to get his point of view. Right from the start he is trying to earn Chloe’s trust without telling her who he really is and that she’s his seraph. When he realizes how close the demons are getting to her, he makes sure to not leave her side if he can help it. Lucan was extremely patient with Chloe, as she becomes frustrating with her trust issues I loved how much time he gave her. He was by far my favorite out of the men so far with how he handled telling Chloe about Templars too.

Chloe is stubborn and not sure about trusting Lucan. I really enjoyed their banter and how they slowly began trusting each other. My only issue with her was that she didn’t see what was right in front of her. Clearly Lucan was a good guy and clearly her brother’s attitude had changed drastically. I felt the focus on this couple kept me more on the edge than the previous because the dangers were so close that I didn’t know if they were going to get out danger.

There are also some side stories that are moving along with Chloe’s brother Julian and the lost Knight Declan. Julian I loved getting his POV, I felt the struggled in him and was really rooting for him. Declan, I feel is really putting himself in a tough spot and I’m super curious as to what his actions in the end with cost him.

Overall this series is still kicking and strongly I might add. The romance is a key and Ashgrove connects you to the leads and makes you want them to be together. This time around I really enjoyed the adventure side of the story, uncovering about the artifacts and fighting off the demons. The best part is reading how each new couple learns about their task and destiny against the evil.

RECOMMENDATION:
This is an adult series that contains a bit of violence and sexual content for mature readers. Fans of Lara Adrian’s Midnight Breed series and Gena Showalter’s Lords of the Underworld series will love Immortal Surrender by Claire Ashgrove.

Immortal Trust is the third in the Curse of the Templars series by Claire Ashgrove and this instalment focuses on the Templar, Lucan of Seacourt. Lucan is on his way to meet his seraph, the fiesty archeologist Chloe who is about to to uncover the find of her career - the Veil of Veronica - a highly prized religious artifact. Despite the fact that the series is based on the Templars the story is largely told through Chloe's POV. Chloe believes that Lucan (and the other Templars) are representatives of the church who are sent to secure the artifact when her dig is complete. Little does she know that Lucan is actually a centuries old Templar and that she is destined to be his 'one true love' and save his soul. Lucan is drawn to Chloe but knows how important the Veil is, to the not just to the Templars but also to the evil Azazel who also determined to get the Veil using whatever nefarious means necessary. With the fate of mankind in the balance Lucan is torn between doing what is right and what is right for him. Chloe however, is torn between her growing affection for the hunky Templar and uncovering the discovery of her career. All this happens within the backdrop of rural France in the winter with a healthy dose of demonic possession just to make things interesting.

I liked Immortal Trust but that could have been down more to the model on the front cover rather than to the actual contents of the book. I thought that the story focused more on Chloe rather than Lucan in contrast to the book description. The story was a very easy read and the characters likeable (except of course, for Azazel) but I think they could have all been fleshed out a bit more. There was very little of Azazel until near the end which I think Ashgrove could have expanded on. The dynamic between Chloe and her brother was written in quite a realistic way, as was the interaction between Chloe and Lucan. While attracted to Lucan she didn't act like many heroines in this type of novel by falling immediately into his arms (and bed). Without giving too much away I didn't agree with the choice Chloe made at the end of the book in relation to her brother as it was inconsistent with how both characters were written.

The Templars make for great characters as they can quite easily be either the heroes or the enemy and Lucan is a great example of the heroic version. If you like a novel with a bit of a mix of historical fantasy and paranormal romance then this is a good choice, especially if you want it in an easy to read format. Do I like the series well enough to continue? Perhaps not although it really depends on what the model on the next cover looks like (shameless, I know!)

Immortal Trust is the third book in a series that explores and evolves the myth of the Templars. It is a very involved series that builds with each book so I recommend reading each book in order. Azazel is gathering the Holy Relics to ascend to the heavenly throne and the Templar Knights must stop him, but with each fight a little piece of their soul is lost to the darkness. After hundreds of years of fighting, many Knights walk the line of good and evil and only one thing can save their soul. Their destined Seraph. Only with their light can they defeat Azazel's darkness and continue to fight in the battle for the Almighty.

Chloe Broussard is an archeologist, but she is also a Seraph. She just doesn't know it yet. But Lucan of Seacourt knows that she is destined for him, whether she wants to believe it or not. Unfortunately, demons follow Chloe and Lucan has to uncover whether she is working with them, or running from them. Azazel is close, and he wants Chloe and the veil she has uncovered. They must learn to put their suspicions aside and trust in each if they ever hope to leave the dig site alive, and with their souls intact.

Claire Ashgrove has a knack for bringing her stories to life and sweeping me away into the magic and romance surrounding the mysterious Templar Knights. With each book I fall more and more in love. ☺

I loved the relationship between Chloe and Lucan, it was rife with suspicion from the get-go but they couldn't deny their sizzling attraction. And each character had their own reasons to be this way, but for some reason I have an easier time accepting the hero then the heroine while reading, so Chloe's denial and constant pushing away did become frustrating at times. Chloe's brother Julian added an intriguing element to the story that was heart breaking at times as well, I'm happy that we will see more of him in future books. The series arc is so profound and intricate that sometimes it was difficult to remember all of the nuances of the story until the author hit upon it but that just added to the suspense. ☺
I find it interesting that in this series both characters have to work past the same hurdles as oppose to each having their own seperate issues. First it was a sort of a fear and commitment with Merrick and Anne, with Farran and Noelle it was trust, now with Chloe and Lucan it is suspicion. It's a nice little switch-up.

Immortal Trust didn't have quite as much action in it then previous books, and what it did have didn't come until the end. But the plot was filled with tension, suspense, sultry romance, captivating world building and an intriguing story line with more then it's share of hot and tender moments. A very satisfying read to say the least and I cannot wait to pick up the next book!

It's no secret that Claire Ashgrove's Curse of the Templars is among my favorite paranormal romance series currently. From the first book, Immortal Hope, I was fortunate enough to review until now, this series is just getting better book by book as well as more addictive :) Maybe because those books are about Templar Knights, whose myth I find very hard to resist, maybe because the writing style is simply amazing, but the bottom line is, that Claire Ashgrove has created a world that I just love to read about. Simple as that.

I mean, I really liked the first book. The second one was just as great but Immortal Trust was so good that I devoured it. And not only that but I didn't want it to end. I loved so much Chloe and Lucan's story that I didn't want for this book to reach its last page. Because who knows when the next book will be published? And Azazel is gaining more power book by book and I really need to see some of my favorite Knights find their Seraph and their salvation. See? Waiting for the next book to get published is plain torture!

Immortal Trust follows more or less the exact same pattern as the previous two books in the series but in this one I really loved both Chloe and Lucan as characters, more than I did the previous two couples. I really enjoyed how their romance developed and how believable Chloe was as a heroine, a quality that I found lacking a little bit both in Anne and definitely in Noelle. Chloe was as sceptical as any sane person would be when presented with the unbelievable without Noelle's stubbornness that made everything so difficult in the previous book. The only stubborn character in this book was Lucan, but still he was adorable.

One other reason I enjoyed so much Immortal Trust is Ashgrove's ability to describe beautiful places and artifacts in detail but in a way that she isn't tiring the reader. I had some problems with a few books recently, that delved into so much detail spoiling the whole narration. But Ashgrove's writing style is perfectly balanced, giving the reader the amount of detail and descriptions that are needed to imagine things and not lose your interest. And that is a balance not all authors can achieve so I really appreciate it when I find it.

All in all, The Curse of the Templars is among my favorite series at the moment and for a very good reason. The writing style is amazing, the world building unique and fresh and each story in this universe is just better than the previous was. And that says much when you're talking for a very good series of books to begin with. I just really hope that Immortal Trust won't be the last book published in this universe. There are so many things still left to be said!

Review from Backchatting Books

Even though she doesn’t know it, archaeologist Chloe Broussard is about to unveil one of the holiest of holy objects, the Veil of Veronica. Templar Lucan of Seacourt is sent in to keep her and it safe from Azazel.

Lucan is in a bit of a quandary. On the one hand he has seen how happy his fellow Templars have become after meeting their seraphs and on the other he still finds it hard to put his trust in someone because his brother slaughtered his family centuries ago. Personality wise Lucan is very different to our previous Templars as he is a gentleman and treats Chloe with respect after having a brief happy dance moment that she isn’t ugly. Hmm. He’s determined to court her properly before revealing the fact that she is fated to be with him and he needs her in order to save his soul etc. He knows that Chloe can see demons and that she is very defensive when people interfere with her dig but he isn’t sure if that means she is special or that she has allied herself with Azazel. His slow and steady approach though is ruined when the relic is uncovered and he needs to find out whose side she’s on quickly.

Chloe is a talented archaeologist who had a former lover take the credit for her work and so is wary of charismatic men. She’s inclined to heed her brother’s cautions even if he has been acting oddly distant of late. If that wasn’t enough, she has been seeing an increasing number of demons around the site and they terrify her. You have to admire someone who in spite of her fear refuses to let it interfere with the all-important dig. I was also impressed that she refused to bow to pressure from both her brother and Lucan when it came to opening the relic box. She insisted on following proper procedure and cataloguing every step of the process. I was highly amused that the forces of good and evil were held up by administrative processes. The fate of the world rests in Chloe’s hands but nothing will stop her filling out her paperwork.

Yet again we have a heroine that refuses to commit to her Templar which causes serious injury. I would love it if the women were not constantly at fault. I don’t know whether this motif is designed to remind readers that it was Eve’s fault Paradise was destroyed or if it is just an overused plot device. I’ll give Ashgrove the benefit of the doubt and assume it is the former.

Please read this series in order so you can appreciate this increasingly complicated world. We are inching ever closer towards a big smack down and I can’t wait for the next book.

I love reading about gorgeous knights, sword fights, archaeology, archangels, castles and medieval times. This book has all of that, well, the whole series has all of that. I love it when an author can tie the past in with the present times without seeming like you are being taught a history lesson or jumping back and forth. The text flowed seamlessly throughout the book.

This series is about a centuries old struggle of good vs. evil as Azazel tries to take over the heavenly throne. All he has to do is amass certain holy artifacts and his ascension will be almost guaranteed. The Templar Knights along with the guidance of the archangels are fighting to stop and prevent this from happening but as the knights slowly succumb to the darkness themselves they can only hope for salvation through the seraphs. Seraphs are descendants of fallen angels and hold the power to clear the darkness from the soul of their destined knight. Chloe is one of these seraphs.

The attraction between Chloe and Lucan was well written. I could completely understand why she would doubt his intentions given her past experiences. I really liked that her brother Julian was included in this story so much. Even with everything that has happened to him in this story I am glad that he will be in future ones. Given his circumstances, I still really liked him and the strength of his character that showed through when his sister was in danger.

The description of the archaeological digs and artifacts that are discovered in this book as well as the surroundings and different locations really painted a vivid picture for me. I was able to see it in my mind and that also helped bring the book alive.

At the end of this book there is a possible conspiracy that really starts coming to light from within the Knights as well and I can’t wait to read more to see where this will lead us also. The next book should be about “she who understands the sword” according to the Templar Knights prophecy so I can’t wait to see who this is as well as what knight the seraph is destined for. I definitely recommend reading this series.

Chloe Broussard has long been afraid of the dark and the denizens who lurk there. She can feel the presence of demons ever since a dig in Egypt brought her to a mysterious carving. When she looked upon the carving, it brought her to the attention of Azazel. Now Chloe has been given the lead position on a dig in France where she, along with her crew and her brother, will make a fascinating discovery – The Veil of Veronica. The Veil of Veronica is said to be the cloth with which Saint Veronica wiped the blood and sweat off Jesus’ face and in doing so, an imprint of his image appeared. This holy relic is needed by the Templars, so they may keep it from Azazel. Azazel wants it more than anything so he can read the language of the angels. Lucan is the immortal Templar Knight who comes to assist her in the discovery and, of course, protect the artifact. Yet Chloe is also Lucan’s seraph – the only one who is able to heal his darkened soul. Trust is the one thing both Chloe and Lucan have trouble with and it’s going to take their belief in one another to have a chance of preserving the balance.

‘Immortal Trust’ is the third book in the “Curse of the Templars” series by Ms. Ashgrove. By this book, I was hoping we’d have some more movement on the demon butt-kicking front. Yet for every step forward, it appears the Templars are forced to take two steps back. I sincerely hope the rest of the series isn’t just “Templar meet seraph, Templar and seraph have issues/miscommunications/fights, seraph is convinced to take oaths, Happily Ever After”. Don’t get me wrong, I like this series, but it’s already seems formulaic and I’d like to see more action along with the romance. I was very much surprised at the end of the book by Chloe’s actions (I don’t want to spoil it), because her reaction seemed very much out of character for her. I think this series has great potential, so we’ll see what the next book brings…

The Templar Knights have fought back Azazel's creations for centuries and many knights have been lost to Azazel's darkness, but the prophecy has stated that a few select women who carry the blood line will be the salvation of the knights and save them from the darkness. Lucan's seraph has been located and confirmed by his scar she carries on her own body. Even though this should be the happiest time of his life Lucan has reservations about trusting another female. Lucan has been through a lot of heart ache and betrayal in his life and even though she is supposed to be his seraph he still can't just blindly trust that she is not going to betray him at some point. He wants to open up and trust her but his reservations make it hard to do.

Chloe has had a bad relationship in the past and thinks if she is to open up to Lucan he will only wind up burning her in the end just as the past relationship did. But these feelings she has for Lucan are so powerful and consuming she can't stay away.

Lucan must trust her enough to bring her into the fold and take her as his seraph or he will loose the war with darkness and become a dark knight as some of his fellow knights has befallen to.

I always enjoy this series. I love the historical highlander feel these warriors portray mixed with the modern day women. They don't take any crap and give these men a run for there money and make them fight to win them over.

This book is no different, they have great chemistry together but both of them fight there attraction at first . The sex is not as hot and explosive as in the precious two books but still very hot. I think the two of them as a couple just were not as steamy as the previous couples. Of course that didn't take away from the book it was still an excellent book.

If you haven't checked out this series yet please do I think you find as I have that this is a great series to add to the collection.

ReThis book was awesome!

Ok – sure. When I first started reading it, the language of the hero (he’s got an almost medieval way of talking) caught me off guard and I was like “What the…?” I was ready to give up but clung to the hope that things would get better.

And things definitely got better!

You fall in love with these characters. Lucian is the classic Type A hero – tall, dark, sexy (unbelievable sexy) and protective. He knows what he wants and he lets nothing stop him to get it. He speaks in an archaic way and it is so sexy! Every time he says “Aye” you want to melt at his feet.

Chloe is an archaeologist who is loyal to her brother, hard working and a beauty (even though she doesn’t believe it). She had a previous bad break-up that holds her back from anything relating to a romantic relationship. Trust is her biggest issue and Lucian almost forces her from the start to trust him completely.

These two are fated to be with each other but only Lucian knows. He definitely has to work hard to get Chloe on his side but when he does – holy hot! Lucian is a gentleman in bed and Chloe is anything but a passive partner. Claire Ashgrove definitely can write a love scene.

I didn’t realize when I started this book that it was part of a series and there were no issues with reading it on its own. There are parts that seem to be part of a bigger picture but it’s easy enough to get the gist of it all.

I think my favorite part of this book was the historical background story. I am a huge history nerd and bringing in the Templars and the entire concept of the Veronica really made it interesting for me. Interesting enough to Google and spend way too much time reading various sites about it.

All in all, this is a great book that will keep your interest to the very end.

Chloe is a hardworking archaeologist who has never been lucky in love. The last man she fell for stole her work and claimed it as his own – making his career and leaving her to pick up the pieces. So when she meet’s the church’s archaeologist, she is wary of his handsome face and charming manners. It doesn’t take long for Chloe to see Lucan’s sincerity, but with her brother warning her against him, will she ever give him a chance. And if she does, is he all that he seems?

Immortal Trust is a fabulous paranormal (are angels/immortals paranormal?) romance with a little bit of archaeology mixed in. Chloe is a strong female character who shows that you can be kind and tough and successful all at once. It’s was refreshing to have a break from a snarky lead character and instead get a very nice character who also possesses a deep inner strength. I loved it. And Lucan…Lucan is what we all wish for. He’s tall, dark, and handsome and generally inquisitive and affectionate for Chloe. Of course, the steamy scenes are well…steamy, but there is a lot of affection between the two characters as well. He holds her hand, opens doors, and drives the car. Their relationship is what makes romance stories actually romantic instead of just hot.

The plot is also utterly original (at least in my reading history, though the theory is that there’s no more originality). There are twists and turns that while you see them coming, you have no clue how they’ll be resolved. This is the third in The Curse of the Templars series, but it can be read as a standalone. In this case, I would absolutely suggest starting at the beginning so you’ll know the characters better (it’s worth it), however it isn’t necessary to enjoy Immortal Trust. I would rate this one 5/5 (my first 5/5 on Book Savvy Babes). If paranormal romance with a little archaeology, immortality, and demons mixed in sounds appealing, you must go pick this one up.

The Curse of the Templar is a great series, and Ms. Ashgrove does not let up the trend with book three, Immortal Trust. She unfailingly gives us yummy guys who are not too good to be true, strong and independent-to-a-fault women, the clash of swords, the clash of passion, and the ever-present threat of eternal danger. They all come together to create a mad swirl and a wild romp – absolutely wonderful. Each book ratchets up the tension, the urgency, and the need for a lasting solution. Having left the U.S. in book two, Immortal Surrender, this story continues the trend, taking place on an archaeological dig in France. Chloe Broussard knows trouble lurks in the woods, and has spent years doing her utmost to keep the unknown evil at bay. Strangely, her loyal brother is uncharacteristically distracted and aloof, and she feels even more vulnerable without his support. When church representatives enter the picture and start asking questions and poking around her life’s work, she becomes defensive, yet she cannot ignore the undeniable attraction she feels for one of them – Lucan. Will he be a help to her? A hindrance? Will he turn her world on its head? Only terror will get in the way of knowing the answers to those questions. This is a great read and I can hardly wait to read the next installment, Immortal Protection. Very well done.
I purchased this book online and have given this review freely and without monetary compensation.

Immortal Trust is the third installment of the Curse of the Templars, I normally don't read series out of sequence, but it seems lately that's been happening. Lol
This was a fantastic read! Tho I definitely suggest reading the first two books, before you pick up this one. I wasn't totally out of the loop with everything, but I personally like to read all the books in a series in order, and I definitely recommend this series!
Chloe and Lucan both have some past dis-loyalties to overcome before they can trust each other, both with the findings at the dig and their undeniable growing relationship. I think this book was particularly hot because of the tension between Lucan & Chloe, she doesn't give in very easily and the flirting and rising tensions make their encounters much more interesting and funny to read. The story is amazing, tho I started on the third book, the plot was easy to grasp and I wasn't totally lost without reading the first two books. I loved it!!

When I first received this book, I was not sure if I would like it or not. Sure I enjoy finding new books and new authors to read but I still was not sure if it would be a book I would like. However within the first few pages I was hooked and could not put it down. It took me several months to actually devote myself to actually start it but when I did it did not take me long to read. I could not wait to finish it but I did not want it to end either. I have found a new author I am looking forward to reading more of.

Enjoyable series. Hot Templar knights...with lots of big muscles.

This is the third book in the series. While I enjoyed it I have to say it's my least favorite out of the three...but still well done. I missed the action of the first two books. Also there was a little too much talking. But with that said I am looking forward to the next book when it comes out

The cover is very hot

A riveting, sexy read. Claire Ashgrove knows how to keep you reading. If you haven't read this series start with Immortal Hope and be sucked into Anne and Merrick's story.
