Bee Frog's parents don't have much time for her games, so off she hops all by herself. Bee makes dragon noises, but soon begins to wonder if dragons get lonely - although when her parents come looking for her, Bee springs a surprise on them!
"Bee Frog" has a great (not so) hidden message for parents about taking time for your kids and their interests. It is a fun story for kids with great illustrations as well.
This book had me smiling as I read through little Bee Frog's mini-adventure/rebellion. I thought the story very cute, with endearing elements and sweet illustrations. I especially liked the expressions on the faces of the frogs, they were comically amusing and fun. I would definitely recommend this book.
I don't know what it is, but I wasn't as moved by this book as other books I've read. It's a simple little story about a little frog pretending to be a dragon, but it's really about how the frog feels no one in her family doesn't listen to her. I'm merely "meh" about this. Could be used to talk about students feeling like they don't belong in their families, or families not listening to students. PreK-2
The book is not great, but is certainly very good. It's about make-believe and wanting to be listened to, two very important concepts when you're a child. Bee is a frog, but she is pretending to be a dragon. Unfortunately, no one takes her game seriously, so she runs off to play by herself. There is a reunion, of course, and a happy ending. There's not much more to the story, but what there is to it is cute and works well. Young children will understand and enjoy the story.
Bee Frog wants so much to be part of the group. Bee decides to be a dragon...a very fierce Bee Dragon. But, everyone still ignores him. That is until Bee hops off by himself and starts to get lonely. Mom and Dad find their little frog...and Bee decides being a dragon isn't so much fun after all.
This book although it's a children's book, really had to story to it. It had 'potential' for a good story but it just wasn't there for me or for my 2 year old granddaughter. she got bored with it very fast when generally she sits and enjoys the illustrations and reading a story.
