Tiffany Pearson hasn’t been home in eight years, not since her ex-fiancé left her standing at the altar—literally.
Not even a ten-year reunion can induce Tiffany to chance a trip back home when the gossip is alive and kicking in her small hometown of Driftwood, CA—not unless she can waltz in on the arm of some hottie she’s convinced to be her temporary husband.
Who says you can’t go home again...?
It just might be possible now that Tiffany’s run across super-sexy Jon Singleton.
**Trading Up is a short novella of approximately 11,000 words. About 50 pages.

The premise was interesting, but the novella length was extremely prohibitive. I was shocked that we were to believe they had fallen in love...beyond insta love as nothing that occurred with in their brief excursion would indicate they were lovers or in love!😂🤷

A company evaluating senior execs by secretly setting them up with an internal auditor via a "bachelor auction" is one of the riskiest HR practices I've ever heard of and the fact that said senior exec wouldn't think twice about asking a co-worker she's just met to pretend to be her husband for a weekend getaway begs belief. Silly and contrived, with a very rushed ending.
Tiffany was not just left at the altar, her fiance showed up already married to the stripper from his bachelor party. Tiffany has not been back home since and is seriously debating going back for her high school reunion. When her company has it's charity bachelor auction, she reluctantly agrees to buy a pretend husband to accompany her to the reunion. But is Jon Singleton too good to be true? This is a sweet romance about going back home. It was a nice, quick read that hits the spot when you just don't have the time to get into a novel. I would definitely recommend it.
I love a good revenge fantasy. Now, no one has ever broken my heart (my nose is a different story), but I can see the thrill in getting even with someone who wronged you. I’ve even entertained some of those thoughts myself – though I’ll pass on the fake husband part, thanks.
It was a short (too short) read that was fun, accomplished everything it set out to do, and left me with a smirk and a smile (and how many books do that?).
Seriously, it could have been a really good full length book, and if the author re-wrote it as one I would definitely read it.
I really enjoyed this story. The premise is wonderful. Tiffany is one lucky woman. First she wins the sexiest bachelor at the auction without even having to bid and then he agrees to attend her weekend reunion so she can save face in front of the dirtball ex who dumped her at the altar for a stripper. Too bad he lives on the other side of the country... and has ulterior motives. This story was fun, sweet and humorous to read. The H/H had incredible chemistry and the secondary characters added just the right touches to round this story out to one great read!
For a very short novella, I actually liked it. I disagree with the other reviews that thought it needed to be longer. It is a quick "look at me now" for a high school reunion. Yet, it is more than that. Tiffany was engaged to be married to her high school sweetheart . On the day of her wedding her fiancee shows up at the alter married to the stripper from his bachelor party. This is the story of her 10 year reunion.
This was a very quick and sweet read! Though I didn’t get a chance to really know the characters and things seemed a bit rushed, I couldn’t help but want to know more about Jon and Tiffany! The writing was great and the purpose of the story was one that I have enjoyed reading in the past. I believe I read this in about an hour and would have LOVED to read more. Details were present but lacking in the same sense. If you are looking for a quick read then this is the one to grab.
Cute book for by the pool. Easy and fast read. I think we all have an ex we'd like to show up from our past. Tiffany is no different. It is time for her class reunion and after being publicly humiliated by her ex Scott she doesn't want to go. Then she gets the bright idea to hire someone to go as her husband. She picks a guy from the office that is very cute and then a little romance begins to brew. However Jon has a secret he has kept from Tiffany .
when i start reading novels i look at and monitor the pages so i can determine when the climax and resolution will likely come about. the page count also lets me know how long a novel is. i liked the story. there were moments that needed developing and had i known the story was so short i probably would have allowed for this. however i was gravely disappointed that the end of the book came around the middle of the page count. i like when authors add excerpts from other books, but half way?
I liked...Took me about 5 minutes to read. So p!$$ed at that...short and sweet, but way too short. Definitely a story I would like to see the author fill out some more.
Could have been so much better. It was rushed and was to short, it could have been a great story if the author had taken the time to fluff if up a bit.
