Ice Cage
Deep in the arctic tundra two lonely scientists are isolated in a one room glorified igloo 50 weeks a year. They ask the wealthy cooperation they work for some companionship. Tyler took the high-paying gig thinking he was going to teach the two men English. When he gets there it’s obvious the pent-up scientists have other ideas for the cute 26 year old. Tyler has no where to run in the frozen wasteland. After several weeks he’s starting to think what his tenacious new friends want might not be so unthinkable…

I rarely read ménage fiction, yet what lured me to Ice Cage was the smutty cover depicting a ménage à trois and the book description telling me it is about a ménage à trois. For the most part, the book gave me what I expected — graphic sex scenes of ménage à trois. There was a total of two graphic sex scenes, one in the middle and one at the end. Yet, there was something else I didn't expect.
The 7000-words story is told in 3rd PoV from Tyler's side. In Ice Cage, Tyler is trying to fend off Mikhail and Sebastian's seduction. Because the story starts off with Mikhail playfully spanking Tyler as some sort of joke/present/flirting for Tyler's birthday, I could tell Tyler was reaching his tipping point where he could no longer resist the scientists' amorous advance... or his own sexual needs.
Ice Cage has three characters. There was Tyler, a poor Italian ESL teacher who just turned 27 years old. There was Sebastian, a gay 47-years old Austrian scientist with a neat-freak tendency. Finally, there was Mikhail, a married 53-years old Russian scientist turned "prison gay" during the 50 weeks a year stuck in an isolated igloo for some science thingy.
What I did not expect was a romance between Tyler and Sebastian. Mikhail acted as a third wheel; he was just there for sex's sake satisfying his own sex drive. The romance between Tyler and Sebastian pleasantly surprised me. What also surprised me was how I didn't find Mikhail to be intrusive. Perhaps, I did find Mikhail to be unnecessary and probably would like the story better if the sex was just between Tyler and Sebastian (though, tbh, I'm not sure if that would make sure sense plot-wise). But for sure, I didn't Mikhail's presence intrusive.
To reiterate, Ice Cage was a short story of approximately 7000 words. This was 3/4 of the book, the last 1/4 of book was an excerpt from Incubus Master: Scor's Story by the same author. Overall, Ice Cage was a smutty, slightly sweet read. I rate it three stars for I liked it. I would have liked it some more if it was longer, i.e. a third sex scene, or had graphic illustrations because the cover-art was hot! Regardless, I found the HEA ending wholesomely satisfying.

I'll be honest, that one wasn't for me.
The author made sure to add consent to the story but it still felt... off to me. Mikhail and Sebastian are very pushy, and the whole "stuck there for a year" made it so the power dynamic felt inbalanced. Could have Tyler said no for the whole year? Sure, but it's pretty clear that would have made his stay pretty miserable.
(also, who the fuck employs someone as an escort by telling them they'll be an ESL teacher? That's just fishy to begin with)

Like this was okay. It wasn’t anything to really shake a stick at. I wanted something quick and dirty and I what I got was a mess. Like it was good with the smutty parts and then there were instances where I was like WHO THE FUCK? And it was just not good? But still somehow enjoyable. Idk what their clusterfuck of an review this is but yah

Challenged myself to read the first book under 50 pages that came up on Everand when I couldn't sleep one night and well it's a no from me. I know there isn't going to be depth in 33 pages but there is nothing... I read Dark Romance often and sometimes that involves non-consensual sex and it doesn't bother me in that setting yet this was just gross. The manipulation got me... Also the use of the word 'Molest' in a scenario that's meant to be positive experience just gives me the ick completely.
Remind me not to read whatever short story comes up first again...

I was so pleasantly surprised by this one. I walked in expecting smut from beginning to end, and - honestly, I've been in a book rut, so that's all I was hoping for - I got so much more than I bargained for. In the best way.
Tyler was an innocent, young, naive fool. He discovers he's been hired - not for a job, but as a distraction - and does his best to see through his duties without being preyed upon. And there is PLENTY of opportunity, stuck all alone in a desolate place, for two grown men, both bigger than him, to take advantage of him. But, they never do! Unlike so many Yaoi, that rely on non-con or dub-con, Mikhail and Sebastian have every opportunity, but never force themselves on Tyler. Mikhail is married and is what they call prison-gay for his time there, while Sebastian is actually gay. They spend their nights together, while teasing and tormenting Tyler, trying to seduce him. On the first sign that the seduction is working, they pounce. But not before Tyler does a little experimenting of his own.
What I liked was the way Tyler was presented. Perhaps raised conservatively, or more naive than his age suggests, he's afraid these two men are going to use and abuse him. Even when they prove they won't, that fear remains. He fights his own prejudices to explore and expand his thinking, thanks to their attentions. The threesome scenes were hot, well scripted and inclusive - no one ever felt left out or unnecessary. And when a relationship did develop, I believed that it had potential to survive beyond the circumstances that created it.
The story is super short, but it packs a punch both in terms of storyline and smuttiness. It gave me everything I've been looking for and more. And I felt that the ending was perfect for the characters and the story.

Cute forced proximity story of two guys in the artic having a language tutor shipped out to them (not the most believe able part) one of the scientists is kind of gay for the stay while the other is looking for something more they kind of end on a happy for now moment. It's a perfactly acceptable erotica it's not going to change your life but it's worth the quick read.

I would not call this book "good," but I still really enjoyed it. This is a short story and is honestly just smut. I don't really even like smut, but I didn't mind it in this book for some reason. Probably just because of how short it was. Anyway, this was a fun read and I am planning on reading all of Yamila Abraham's books now.

I’m a bit ashamed that I’ve read this.. overall enjoyable and pretty good smut. But omg if you write a character that is German at least google how to spell certain words. Had to put it down every other page to roll my eyes because there were so many mistakes.

This is a short story and I usually avoid those like the plague because I just don't ever feel that a story can be really told in only 50 pgs or less. Plus, if its a good story, I like to have a decent amt to read.
Ice Cage succeeds simply because it doesn't try to pretend to be something its not. Its a short story about a couple of guys getting together and messing around. It doesn't try to make an elaborate setting or try to incorporate depth. Instead, it focusses on the interactions between these three men and, plainly, gives you what you're expecting in a pleasant and decent way.
If you're looking for something short to read just to put a smile on your face (and read some smut, let's be honest here lol) then I would definitely reccomend this story.

Three men stuck in the small place for many weeks,when one is gay other is prison gay there is predictable ending that other will be turned to be gay as well. The book started very well and it seemed that hot scenes and bit of fluffy romance was ensured but then it ended. It was like somebody started to make rough draft and then decided that it was enough work and there was time to make profit.

Had anyone expected this to be a comic? Because from what I could tell, Yamila Abraham looked like a small independent prose writer. Ah well.
The book feels a bit more humorous if you pretend that this is a prequel to The thing and one of them has been copied by the alien already.
If you are looking for a nice gift for a person who tried to ship one of the characters from the thing, then I think this short story would be perfect for you!
