This book started off soooo good. There were too many details here and there, an obvious stretch of the imagination but still good. I was in love with tall the characters and the their love for each other and their hardcore attitudes. I was rooting for the main character to get her man and have a happy ever after. I was hoping all the main characters would as well! It was getting uber juicy and then...we reached the middle! They go out of town and are on this celebrity status out of nowhere. It started to seriously go downhill from there! It started to become too much and too fast. The details were overdone and highly unbelievable! They didn't make any sense anymore nor did they fit into the lifestyles or story line. Its as if the author became bored and just started trying to take the story in any direction just to give it spice, when it needed NONE of that! I am a writer too so I know the tendencies to overdo an idea in a story line. But to keep us captive, you need to keep SOME realism in it even if it is fiction!

This book was very fast paced and had lots of action, but at times the story seemed very far fetched. Reese is a 18 year old who's older brother is a drug lord, but currently doing time so he has his 2 friends that are watching her. Jamal and Dirty love Reese to death and will do anything for her. I actually stayed up all night reading this book and I really enjoyed it. My only issues were some things were far-fetched and a some grammar issues. I would still recommend this book and will be checking out the next installment.

Reese was a woman that took no shit and had the brothers and friends to back up her every play. I absolutly loved this book. Her love for her bothers and her man dirty mad her the HBIT. Eventhough her and her crew were bad to the bone they loved hard. I was sitting at the edge of my seat and couldn't wait for book two and the wait wasn't long. Pick both books up and enjoy.

This was an awesome, fast pace, page turner. I loved the characters and they way they had each others back. Reese was my girl. She was down for the men in her life along with all her girls. Jamari, Jamal, Dirty, and Cortez. Wow what can I say they were real men. The story line kept you wanting more.

This was my first read by Bri'Monae and she did not disappoint.

In this first of a 4 part series I have to give it to the author Bri'Monae, she had me going and if it had not been for the twist in this read, I wasn't gonna read no further, you'll have to get it to figure out what I mean...This was a true page turner and Reese is definitely her Brother's Keeper...Getting reading to read part 2....Happy Reading

Not sure what the hype is about, but this book was so terribly written. It was all over the place! It read like the author just had a brain dump of ideas and jotted down bits and pieces as it came to them. It could have probably been a decent read if this rough draft was polished up and rewritten in a manner that flows better.

I picked this book up and couldnt stop until I was done, a few hours later. I thoroughly enjoyed this story. That girl Reese is a BAD "B", you don't want to mess with her. We need more men like the ones in this book, Jamari, Jamal and Dirty. Death before dishonor. No one to see what MBK2 has in store.

My Brother's Keeper was really good and had lots of potential to be better... There were lots of grammatical errors that almost took away from the story... The storyline was good though... A little far fetched and a bit extreme... But I got where Bri Monae was going with it... A better editor and bringing the dramatics down a notch will bring this book to 5 STAR status for sure!!!

The first part of this series was really good! I can't wait to see what is next. Reese is truly her brother's keepers, and the boys are her keepers. I love Reese's and Dirty's relationship...awww true love!

Excellent read

I was hooked from the start. This innocent looking girl was for sure her brothers keeper. They thought she needed protection but it was them that needed her. Never underestimate a woman!!!!

MBK

Reese was off the hook. They all liked at her like a baby sister not knowing her capabilities and she showed them that she can handle herself well.
