They've got the world at their feet, but have they got what it takes?
When Sammy Lieberman joins the National Academy of Dance he soon learns there’s a lot on his plate: overcoming his weak ankles, fighting his father’s determination that he should become a doctor and running from Saturday class to synagogue. But just when Sammy thinks he’s making progress his own feelings confront him with even greater challenges.

And the series makes good on its promise to be terrible. Less a properly fleshed-out book than a checklist of events that presumably happened in the television series. Lots of BIG DRAMATIC MOMENTS that aren't followed up on at all because there's another BIG DRAMATIC MOMENT on the horizon and it has to be chased. If their school is telling them that this is a Big Freaking Deal and being Clara is going to catapult Tara or Abigail or whomever into major stardom, then...well...I have concerns about the reputability of the school...
