Yet another book in the series in which the exact same events from the previous books are narrated from yet another indistinguishable narrative voice. Again, I don't think this is the fault of the writers, as I'm guessing that they were given a very specific, very limited creative brief along the lines of 'hit every single plot point in this soap opera...in 70 pages or less'.
Didn't work in the first book. Doesn't work in the fifth, either. I suppose the next book should at least theoretically have some new material, since it's the next (television) series, but, hmm, nope.
Incidentally, reading these makes me understand better than ever why my parents opted out of having a television when my siblings and I were little. I can imagine this material as a television show...but not as a good one.
