Now I know what book to reread before playing Sporcle online quizzes on American history! This was a fun romp that I read in bite-sized pieces between things around the house and during appointments. It's amazing the interesting little pieces of life that we don't know about until we read something like this!

Not every piece of information will please everyone. There's violence, there's drinking and drug use, there's murder and death. That said, history itself isn't always pretty. If you can keep that in mind and get past the rougher side of life on display, then you will very likely enjoy it. If you can't, this isn't for you - and that's OK!

The one drawback is that I found myself wishing they had gone a bit more in-depth - but that's the price of admission to a bite-size history book!

For me, this was four of five stars.

This is fun book filled with tons of little trivia throughout American history. Hopefully, it will come in handy on Jeopardy one day!
