Once in a lifetime, a writer puts it all together. This is James Patterson's best book ever.
Total
For 36 years, James Patterson has written unputdownable, pulse-racing novels. Now, he has written a book that surpasses all of them. ZOO is the thriller he was born to write.
World
All over the world, brutal attacks are crippling entire cities. Jackson Oz, a young biologist, watches the escalating events with an increasing sense of dread. When he witnesses a coordinated lion ambush in Africa, the enormity of the violence to come becomes terrifyingly clear.
Destruction
With the help of ecologist Chloe Tousignant, Oz races to warn world leaders before it's too late. The attacks are growing in ferocity, cunning, and planning, and soon there will be no place left for humans to hide. With wildly inventive imagination and white-knuckle suspense that rivals Stephen King at his very best, James Patterson's ZOO is an epic, non-stop thrill-ride from "One of the best of the best." I think that this book was a great book. I really liked how it was adventure and action. It was really fun to read. I would suggest this book to someone that likes adventure and action.
Scary story. Zipped through this in a little over one day. James Patterson evidently churns books out faster than Stephen King. Maybe my last Patterson book. Interesting story especially if anyone recently saw the new Planet of the Apes movie.
This book was amazing. But one must have a strong stomach as Patterson really does a good job in descriping the gore and there is some bad words but that is what makes this a wonderful book. I enjoyed it.
This book is amazing,James Patterson is an amazing author and he is also my favorite.I would say this book is my most favorite....wait,there's The Hunger Games....correction,this book is my SECOND favorite book of all time.I actually don't know,it's a hard choice to choose my most favorite book, anyways I'm not here to bore you guys with my "debacle" on choosing my most favorite book,I'm here to put in a good word for my boy James Patterson,he uses a very descriptive format for the book and exercises a creative and advanced choice of words.Every book that he writes is sure to amaze,I mean I'll wait months for him to churn out another work of art and sure to be classic.Zoo is a thriller for those who cave to sit on the edge of their seats. The book follows a biologist name Jackson Oz and a ecologist name Chloe Tousignant as they race against the clock before an outbreak of overly aggressive animals threaten to overtake the human race and remove them from the,so to say, pedestal that names us the dominant species on Earth,Jackson and Chloe race to inform the world leaders of their claim and try to find a solution to this impending danger.I will warn that the book displays "a couple" swear words and some of the more "brutal " scenes in the story use vivid imagery. So to sum it up,Zoo by James Patterson is a heart racing, action packed story driven by a "what if" scenario that is sure to keep to licking your lips and anticipating as you turn to the next page, and so on...........and so on.
For me this story was an intriguing look at life and what has happens to our world. I also found this an interesting take on what possibilities are ahead for us if we don't change. I found the characters to be believable and people I would meet in the occupations they are in and felt the author did a great job with them. All in all I found this a great read and think the reader has to take a look at what the author is saying in the warnings that come with the damage done. As a side note I also watched the series, but feel a readers imagination combined with the writers is always the best choice.
Yes it was fast-paced, but as a fellow author, I sense that his co-author did most of the writing on this book. It was missing that snap and punch of Patterson. And Pattison never would've made a mistake the other writer did: he started a paragraph with the one-eyed male lion. Beny was mentioning squinting the eyes, and used eyes, plural, twice more in the same paragraph. Very distracting. I won't buy the book after reading the sample. I will watch the new TV series to see if it's any good.
i usually love James Patterson books but this one was a bummer. Predictable and it took me a while to read because i was bored. I finished one book and then came back to read a little more of this one. In the end i just finished it but i was really disappionted x My daughter bought me this book for my birthday in paperback so i have read the full book x
As with all James Patterson books I was sucked in with the first few pages, before long I realized I had finished the 23 chapters and couldn't wait to get the full book, which I immediately started reading. About two thirds of the way through the book I started losing interest.
This was the only link I could find for this book. I read the entire book...I thought the premise was extremely interesting; however, I just did not care for the characters.
