I bought this book after I heard the authors speak on a blog radio show. Overall, this book is very informative. However, I have always had a problem with the term hierarchy. The authors emphasize that in order to connect with the Divine we have to go through our guides, angels etc. In my experience (and I have connected with many Holy Ones) I simply jumped to the angelic realms myself. I am more aware of the angels, especially the Archangels, than my guides or my angel teachers. But this is simply who I communicate mostly easily with. So everyone will be different. I have to disagree as well with what the authors say about names. They say that the Angel Teachers, for example, will not give you their names. Well I have the names of mine and I simply asked! Names are important to me because than I can call on them quickly (in case of an emergency).
I agree that connecting to the Divine takes work...but you may have done a lot of that work in other lifetimes, as in my case. Meditation will be the best way to connect but I can also simply open my mind and welcome higher beings in. It doesn't have to be a long process once you get proficient at it. So don't be discouraged if you feel you are new to this.
As for the dark side and their discussion of Satan, I find that chapter interesting. However, I don't really spend time worrying about them. Barbara Martin writes that everyone will be tested by Satan eventually. Perhaps. But I am not spending my energy worrying about dark beings. I simply focus on the light and when I feel the need to ask for protection I do.
The authors give a good overview of Higher beings, but unfortunately they don't discuss their personalities which I find is one of the most interesting things about them.
As someone who is embarking on a spiritual journey and blessed with gifts I didn't understand, this book helped me to embrace those gifts and not fear them. Words cannot express how grateful I am that I read this book and it will continue to inspire and inform me as I continue on my journey. Thank you.
Didn't finish. The hierarchy concepts got so specific and detailed that it became hard to believe for me. The specificity seemed too much. I enjoyed the beginning very much, but halfway through, I couldn't take it.
This was recommended to me by a friend who is a spiritual medium and in the paranormal field. She has a strong connection to angels, especially Archangel Michael, so she felt it would help me understand more on this. I thought it was pretty good!
