Good quality basic instruction. Could use a FAQ section. (Can I take a screenshot?) Has some assumptions about what the user already knows. (Tips and tricks for the book-reading app itself; images in the book need to be double-tapped, for example; or how to take and access notes?). Could use more app-specific tips for the apps that come with the Kindle. How can I tell if my video or music will be accessible when I'm away from WiFi?
Think my stars I found this book I thank Mr. Ed. J.
I give an applauds & congrats to the author for writing a book for newbies. But the book can be for well known tablet owners. I picked this book for a manual, I just got my Kindle Fire HDX 1st of the year & deep in tech trouble. About the book it features clear step by step instructions & info. I like this book a lot, I'm going back to the store to purchase his real version. One problem I had reading the book then coming out to find the field as to be explained. I recommend this book for anyone who wants to learn more about their K Fire HDX tablet. Instead of just thinking it's for reading. Signed BigCatman. P.S. My rating stands for how much the book helped. Going to get his other book on 300 app's.
I checked this out from the Prime library. It not only explains how to use the fire, but also has tips, tricks and traps sprinkled throughout. It is written in language easy to understand for the average user, avoiding "geek speak" whenever possible and pointing out the areas where it lapses into something interesting but not essential so the casual reader can just skip over those. He also included 20 apps that he feels are essential to the fully loaded fire.
Nothing to do with the book, I do not think the fire is as easy to use as the iPad and I have both.
Edward Jones has written a book that any kindle HDX user can read. This book is not written for the person who writes programs, or knows all there is to know about computers. If you have a basic knowledge of how computers work, you can learn a lot by reading this book. I am looking forward to putting to use all the new things I learned here, and reading more from this author and others about my tablet. I recommend this book to anyone who wants to make full use of their Kindle Fire HDX.
while I am very familiar with my Kindle Fire HDX, I did learn several tips that I really appreciate. If you don't purchase a tutorial at first, you spend a lot of time trying to figure everything out. Mr Jones instructions are so user friendly that he makes it easy.
The writer gives quite a few decent tips for the Kindle HDX, some of which I would never have known. He also gives decent advice on some apps to use to help your experience. All in all a pretty good read.
In all fairness, I live with a geek. So maybe the geekiness rubbed off. Some of it was useful. Seems like it is written for beginners. Would be very good for beginners.
brillent read it in a day ! this is the best introduction book ive every read . very its both ec and non tec. full of need info and guide u throught everything as if he was sat with u.
This is the most informative book I've read on kindle. it's also thme 1st book on kindles that actually told me things I didn't already know. My hats off to Mr. Jones.
