Never thought graphic novels were for me but maybe it's because it's Twilight. I just know I love it. Each book of the series is getting 2 graphic novels. This one is the collectors edition with both graphic novels in one which includes 10 bonus pages in the back.

I am currently waiting (which feels like forever) for the New Moon graphic novels to come out. I've heard things about the illustrator being ill to not enough were made and they cost thousands of dollars on Amazon. Either way I'll wait. Stephenie Meyer may have fallen out of love with Twilight but I won't.

Forever 🍎❤

This series is so much better as a graphic novel then a book. But that might just be me reading all of the other books and actually caring for the characters and relationships in this one. I am confused about how if they are both juniors how they got into prom? Isn't prom a only seniors and their dates thing.

I loved the artwork in this. It stayed close to the original story, with some minor scene changes but it was good.

When I saw this I could not stop it was screaming my name , and even more after I started reading it in the store then I had to have it to finish it at home. This novel I have to say it had capture everything that made the Twilight perfect, is just so funny and captivating, love it. Let me tell you this much, if there is someone that does not like this series just pick up this book you will fall in love with it instantaneously.

How I said before this novel it contains everything that made Twilight perfect , I laughed so hard but also enjoyed the ride (and at the time I was in a reading slump people but I could not put it down , that is how good it is). Small things are changed to work with the plot being build a little different and shorten it, but beside that everything is the same, the essence of it is the same. Is not much that I can say that you guys do not already know about this book, the difference is that now is shorter and it has picture to show you how the things have happened in the writers mind.

This is Twilight: The Graphic Novel Vol. 1 & 2 combined into one book. That said...it is still a must have for the a Twilight fan, such as myself, as the book is beautiful. The inside of the dust jacket is a small poster of the first two graphic novels in one picture. There is also an added bonus of ten pages at the end of a 'Behind the Scenes: Character Designs'.

So, wow, that was interesting seeing an adaptation/interpretation of Twilight besides the movies.
So, firstly, I love Twilight in general. Yes, I understand that it's problematic and not the best written book, but nostalgia's an amazing thing, and I just like it.
This graphic novel stays pretty much true to the book, from what I remember of it, there are some scenes and conversations that are in the book and not the movie so that was a nice difference to see. One of the most shocking things for me was seeing the dialogue and storyline stripped down like that. It's truly insane how quickly Bella & Edward fall in love 😂 The artwork was pretty awesome, except Edward was way prettier than I ever imagined, and Alice looked a bit more like a tomboy when in the books I'm pretty sure she's super girly... And Rosalie only got like 2 lines :/ but otherwise, it was quite an enjoyable experience overall.

Part I:
This is a great re-interpretation of twilight, I was definitely brought back into the world of Edward and Bella. It's been over four years since I first read twilight, I'm so glad this graphic novel has enabled me to be brought back into this wonderful universe.

Part II:
Okay so this continuation is just as great, if not better cause I mean, more drama, more action, more interest? Young Kim has done an AMAZING job at depicting these characters, their facials are so on point and the air about them in these images... I'm in love.

is twilight the epitome of literature? No. Is it the da Vinci of YA fantasy romance? No. Is it my comfort book? Yes. Is the art pretty? Also yes.

As a Twilight fan, I loved and devoured this book. The art is gorgeous, so it painted a new picture for me. It moved at a good pace for a graphic novel, especially one that's written after the original novel. If anything, the second half moved really fast. I kind of felt rushed into the ending. But this is a great graphic novel nonetheless. Definitely an edition any Twilight fan should pick up.

First of all, I got his book from Big Bad Wolf sale in my town. And it's very cheap, only IDR 60k, after all this is The Collector's Edition, right? Haha..
Well, I've read Twilight: Graphic Novel Vol. 1 & 2, and of course I still remember the drawing. But, still... this book is amazing and I never get bored by this book.

And I finished it in less than 24 hours. *sigh* It makes me both sad and happy while reading this book, I'm happy because I remember when I became a very-hard-over-super-active fangirl of Twilght, and yet I'm sad because that time was over. But, never mind.. The Twilight Saga is still my favorite series all the time. You can judge me, but I don't care. xoxo

After like 5 years I get to see how the graphic novels ends. Same as the book but I really like the illustration. Not exactly how I would imagine it, but it was really nice and I think went along great with the book. And I want Bella's hair. It's so nice and hair.
4/5 (it gets 4 for the illustration)

Though it was designed for the teeny bopper, I found the book entertaining. Started out that I'd promised my granddaughter that I would read it ~ Did not expect to enjoy it as much as I did ~ finished it in about 5 hours & bought the next one. Read the series in less than a week ~ very entertaining.

I came across this 2-in-1 edition right after reading the first book separately. As such, some of this review is copy/pasted from my review of the first volume.

This is a pretty quick read, being a graphic novel, and so you miss out on a lot of the thoughts that happened in Bella's head, and it also cuts out some of the dialogue and whatnot. If you've read the books, it isn't a big deal, but if you haven't, you don't get the full effect of the intrigue/romance here.

There's only one time it bothered me some of the dialogue was left out, and that's when Bella learns Edward can't read her mind. In the actual book it's made very clear Edward doesn't want Bella to think there's anything wrong with her and that he's the freak, but in this graphic novel it's just left with Bella saying she's the freak. It's a minor thing, but also not.

Other than that, the pacing is a bit fast, but it didn't bother me until Bella realizes she loves Edward (not a spoiler, as that paragraph is on the back of the actual book). The moment she said 'love,' it made me realize how much leaving out most of her thoughts/feelings made it seem almost out of the blue. There hadn't seemed to be that build-up in the graphic novel, because of that fast pace. All of the same events were there, but there wasn't that same impact.

However, where this graphic novel really excels is the art. I LOVE how Bella and Edward look. The artist did a great job at capturing both the beautiful and the plain look of Bella, of it being easy to call her plain with just a description but then having her be beautiful even without a fancy hair-do (granted, it does look like she's wearing make-up to enhance the beauty, but...). It was just the right balance for how Bella sees herself vs. how all of the guys see her. Also, Edward looks so much more attractive in this than he did in the movies. Funnily enough, Alice and Carlisle look almost identical to their movie versions. The only design I wasn't a fan of was Charlie, but I think that's just because his movie actor did such a great job at the role that it's hard to picture him looking different.

The use of color was interesting, as well. This is a mostly black and white book, and so any use of color stand out. It really makes you pause any time the color does appear.

For the big, climatic battle... I didn't get much out of it. It's only a couple of panels, and I always find action confusing in image form. I know the actual action is short in the actual novel as well, but most of the panels are just Bella with a bunch of lines to indicate movement, without actually seeing what's happening to her. Not to say there isn't a panel or two with more detail, but I just wish there had been more. I also wish the use of color had been here, rather than in the unimportant epilogue.

Overall, the graphic novel isn't as impactful as actually being immersed in Bella's thoughts/feelings, but the art is gorgeous and is the main reason to pick the graphic novels up. I'd like to collect them all just for the art alone.

I am not a great twilight fan, still when I saw the 1st volume just few months after the release in a bookstore it attracted me because of the good art but didn't bought it because it was not a complete story. So when I saw the combined collectors edition on amazon I bought it at once. I would suggest to buy this instead of going for the separate 2 volumes as it's the complete 1st part story (as much as you can have in 464 pages) in a single edition, which doesn't ruin your flow. Talking about graphic novel adoption, it's beautiful. Young kim's artwork is very impressive and even the small detailing are also there. As far as story as concerned, don't have high hopes as it's majorly adoption of movie not the novel. Though all the important stuffs are there, still you can't have the luxury of all small little (at the same time interesting) things mentioned in the novel. Both the covers of volume 1 & 2 are quite good and you will get a combine poster of them in inside cover of the collector's edition. Even I found the cover page concept of this C.E. very interesting and beautifully done. A must buy for good art lover and die-hard twilight fans.

In the beginning, before there was Fairyloot, Illumicrate, Fabledco, Bookishbox, Mysticbox, or Owlcrate, was Stephanie Meyer/Young Kim’s Twilight Graphic Novel Collector’s Edition. I consumed the original series when they were first released, so when I discovered the graphic novel series, I was obsessed! “I thought I would be exempt for the depression that accompanies a conscience…I decided as long as I was going to hell I might as well do it thoroughly.” To celebrate Twilight’s 20th birthday this year, I decided to treat myself to the graphic novels. I was not disappointed. If you’re looking for a copy at your local library (they’re out of print and not available in bookstores), “Bella is unavailable tonight…she’ll be unavailable every night, as far as anyone besides myself is concerned. He called you pretty. That’s practically an insult, the way you look right now. You’re much more than beautiful…You’re my kind of heroin.” And my kind of heroine! Through her collage of drawing and photography, Young Kim’s interpretation of the “large clan of strong fighters all protecting the one vulnerable element” is a resurrection.

What a nice walk down memory lane! The graphic novel is beautifully-drawn, even if I'm not a huge fan of how Kim drew Edward at times. The smoothness of the skin throws me off with the way she renders the shadows, but alas, it does give off more of a gothic feel. I do LOVE the way Kim draws hair tho, and Bella always looks gorgeous <3

The graphic novel is definitely very faithful to the book, something I appreciate a lot when I compare Book/Manga Bella's awkward yet charming humor to the just plain AWKWARD movie Bella.

The graphics are so well done. Now, Ive only ever seen the movies. I haven’t read all of the original novels yet. So when I read this graphic novel I was slightly surprised to see additional scenes/things that weren’t particularly shown in the movie. Kinda gave a different perspective.😭 I liked it but I didn’t love it. It was enough to keep me entertained though, so i read it front to back. it was a fast read. GIMME SOME CREDIT.

Amazing Art and presentation, Huge and complete story, Never felt rushed, This was a home run, The only way to make it better would have been to have it colored with the new computer colors but I am still very glad I got it. This was a Good Read. Oh and the story was good too. (Sparkling Vampires????)

Already being a fan of the Twilight series, I absolutely loved this graphic novel version. The only thing that could have made it better, in my opinion, would have been if there were color illustrations instead of just black and white.

This book was really good, I loved the art work and I love twilight and the characters are amazing, at least I think they are. The book was okay, the only reason I can't give it more stars was because the graphic novel had plot holes and was sometimes hard to follow.
