Structural Packaging: Design your own Boxes and 3D Forms

Rate this book
Unlike other packaging titles, which simply provide templates to copy, this book enables designers of all packaging types to create 3-D packaging forms that are specific to their needs rather than based on an existing design. Structural Packaging gives the reader an understanding of the underlying principles of packaging construction and the technical knowledge and confidence to develop a greater number of their own unusual and innovative designs.

Short, right to the point and fat-free.

it doesn't go too much in the details but mentions every step you need to do in order to design a box-ish package. also mentions a couple of good ways for locking the package.

if you are a beginner to packaging and want to make paper/cardboard packages this book can help you.

Fantastic collection of paper box designs, some very advanced. Including lock-up methods for lids and bottoms as well as visual + formulaic descriptions of die-cut patterns. Must-have for any packaging designer.
