This is the last and fourth volume in the "Pattern Magic" series by Tomoko Nakamichi. The designs in here are fantastical, weird, and brilliant all at the same time. I don't know that I'd make a one, but it sure is a mind twist to figure how these shapes stitch together in the end. Clear and professional photography and concise step-by-steps text. Every sewist should take a look.

A great challenge to visualize and understand how Nakamichi transforms a simple block (i.e. knit shirt pattern). I look forward to manipulating blocks using a similar technique after trying out some of these patterns for myself!

I have this one in Japanese.
For those who can pattern, you don't really need an english translation. Ü

Although interesting and creative, I found most of the patterns in this book impractical for real life.
